After enduring decades of deprivation and psychological torment in the entertainment industry, J.R. has been rescued. Now he'll spend his days with fellow chimpanzees at a lovely sanctuary dedicated to providing the respect and care that he deserves.

Jesus H. Christ what are people THINKING? THAT POOR CHIMP -- such bright animals and he had zero mental stimulation for most of his life? how very very sad
I cannot believe that great apes and monkeys are still legally taken from the wild. It's awful. The sanctuary looks nice. As close to normal they can get in captivity.
