    Thank you so much for the work you ALL do, im a mum of 4 and i live in Australia so i feel so extremely helpless when it comes to being able to save these guys and all other ape species as i love them all ESPECIALLY silverback gorillas and chimps, gibbons and monkeys, just all of them im sure you get my point.
    To see amazing people like you and all the faces the cameras dont show making a difference it restores my faith somewhat in humanity.
    But this needs to be a world wide effort with a never ending commitment.
    I hate that just because humans can talk and have evolved just that little bit more IN SOME AREAS that the automatic assumption and go to attitude is that "our needs" are more important.

      @ApesLikeUs Chimps are pure evil! I can't believe all the time and valuable resources this poor country wastes on the evil, disgusting creatures? I love how they prey on Americans for money who live thousands of miles away unaware of the absolute horrors this disgusting species is capable of. I just read a recent story from a credible news source in Uganda talking about how these groups of wild chimps are now kidnapping children only to bring their mutilated bodies back to their families home in the middle of the night. I'm.sorry folks that's pure evil!! This is just one story of many regarding the violent and dangerous nature of these disgusting creatures. There are countless stories of people having their limbs torn off, faces eaten , etc. Dont let the baby pictures and sad music fool you, they may be cute as babies but are absolutely horrifying as adults. Invest your emotions and money elsewhere where there wont be any blood on your hands. Ask yourself why they only post videos and pictures of baby chimps never adults? I hope they go extinct in my lifetime. resources this poor country wastes on the evil, disgusting creatures? • @stcroix7722
      @stcroix7722 Год назад

      Your right local.laws need to not allow any Caucasians who have families or are from Britain, France, Portugal, Spain, Germany ,The Netherlands,Denmark,Chinese,Japanese gimp acquire land or to own any sanctuary,reservrs,zoos or hold any office in the continent of Africa. They are the reason Manu of Africa and they animals are in this condition. The fact that Africans had the African animals in the millions before the first European who came to Africa for research or to spread the Christianity religion. Would be the worst than Adolf Hitler could have ever been. Before they ever think to lock up the locals for playing with they animals and having the ability to walk the same grounds they ancestors walk and they hunted and Still was able to save they animals from extinction. When the same Europeans extinction the majority of they animals. Yet the Africans is the ones who are hearrtless. No especially what that American scientist company did to o the monkeys and left those animals for the locals and government can deal with it. I as government would be the first to state that no Caucasian or Asians can own any land or animals,sanctuaries, reserves in his country.we will see how bad they are willing to help. It owning or is the leader in anything.

Thank you so much for so many years saving these lovables and beautiful cuties. Lots of hugs xxx

    This is so sad🥺
    Humans need to understand that we don’t own any other living being on this planet. Let them be with their mothers in the forest and wild. They’re born in the wild for a reason, and they shouldn’t be taken out of the wild. I’m sitting here looking at this lady holding that baby chimp, and it really bothers me bc that baby should be with her mother and in the wild and not in her arms.💔 She shouldn’t even be in human care. Idc if people profit from these animals, they don’t belong to us and it doesn’t make it right to remove them from the wild and take them away from their parents. Humans have got to do better.

    • @John_Weiss
      @John_Weiss Год назад +3

      You're referring to the ones in captivity that have attacked humans. Have you seen videos of pet chimps, then watched a video of a baby chimp at a zoo? If you do, you'll immediately realize why captive chimps are so often Completely _Mental:_
      (1) The Zoos will do everything they can to minimize human contact, and will only take away a baby chimp if the mother can't care for it [usually due to pregnancy complications]; (2) The zoo staff will be with that infant chimp _24/7_ … because normally, they'll be clinging to their mothers 24/7; (3) The zoo staff in contact with that infant will be wearing special shirts or coats to mimic a mom-chimp's fur; (4) They will be encouraging the infant to crawl, to start climbing, to use its legs, to become mobile; (5) As soon as the zoo staff can get the baby chimp mobile enough to move around on their own, they'll introduce it to its future troop, and when possible to an adult female chimp that will act as a foster-mom.
      Compare to the pet-chimp owners, who will toss it into a cage when they've had enough of dealing with the baby ape; who will "discipline" it for "being too clingly" - i.e. for being a baby chimp; who will give it only limited physical contact; who will treat it like it's a human baby, limiting its mobility and thereby causing it to be developmentally stunted; who will _not_ give it Enrichment and may not even let it play, causing it to go out of its mind with boredom. The other Great Apes, IIRC, reach the same level of intelligence as a human 4-6 y.o. If you had a human child who was being beaten any time it acted like a normal human child, was given _zero_ attention, affection, or love, not allowed any exercise, nevermind play, was never given any mental stimulation, let alone educated … Yeah, a human raised like that would be a Psychotic Mess by age 13. So is it really any wonder that the same thing happens to pet chimpanzees?
      Lastly: This video is about an official, _professional Chimpanzee _*_Rescue and Rehabilitation_*_ Organization._ What … what _exactly_ do you think a Rescue Organization is going to do with the animals in their care as they grow up? *_OF COURSE_* the Liberia Chimpanzee Rescue and Protection organization *_HAS ADULT CHIMPS IN THEIR CARE and KNOWS HOW THEY BEHAVE!!!_* And that is _precisely _*_why_* Ms. Desmond calls them, "people": she sees each of them go from rescued baby to adult chimp and knows each one. Dr. Jane Goodall herself has said that we should be calling them, "chimpanzee beings," because they have all of the complexity of human beings.
