Honestly, you can probably do this for almost every joke in the film. The funniest, for me (someone who is 69) is the white-haired old lady speaking "jive". But the funniest aspect of it is the actress, Barbara Billingsly, played the mother, June Cleaver, in 1957 - 1963's "Leave it to Beaver" TV show.

I was 15 when “Airplane” came out and it seemed like everyone saw it. I had to see the movie in the theater 3 times because the audience was laughing so hard that it drowned out a lot of the dialogue. In 1982 I had a high school history teacher who looked (and dressed) almost exactly like Barbara Billingsley, and on the first day of class she told the class, in very serious English accent, that she couldn’t speak jive, so don’t bother asking her to.

To this day I consider this top 5 jokes ever written in a film. It is a rare thing that something gets even funnier because of the changes in society. By today's Hollywood and society, they could nevereverever put this in a movie. There are so many tribes of who's who that would come out in fake outrage and that is why it is so brilliant. The joke was incredibly funny then. But today it highlights how overly and ridiculously sensitive we have become as a society, and how easily emotionally triggered and soft the generations born after the generation this movie was released to have increasingly gotten.

That’s the problem with reactions in general. Quiet moments aren’t put on screen merely to fill time, they contain sometimes information that is crucial to the whole movie. Unfortunately many, maybe most, reactors think this is the time when they can talk instead of listening. And man, you get more than two reactors in one video, just click it off.
With a movie like Airplane! literally every minute contains at least one joke. There’s just no time to talk.

The US has had political correctness in movies since at least the Hays Code (roughly 1930 to 1970). It was replaced by the Motion Picture Association ratings system. Television broadcasts had to comply with FCC standards, and still do. The internet, which is broadly unregulated, has expanded the options of media distribution so that very little gets censored prior to distribution. Individual people and organizations raise their voices against objectionable content that would previously have been blocked by the ratings system and FCC.

Many people know this, the screen play for airplane was an existing black and white movie called "zero hour". Many of the lines were just very cheesy lines from the original that they put a small spin on, so "flying an airplane is just like riding a bike: you never forget" becomes "flying an airplane is just like riding a bike, it's just harder to stick a baseball card in the spokes." All the "surely, you can't be serious" lines were in the original, they just added the "and don't call me Shirley." I believe this exchange was in the original, I don't think it was kids, but the lines are the same, minus the "like my men".
I think the genius of the joke is that you see the joke being set up, you know something is coming, but you never expect that punchline. The "ham on 5, hold the mayo" joke is similar. The punchline was set up so perfectly that you don't expect it at all until you hear it.
