We need a part 2, so many shows got missed out. Blackadder, Porridge, Open All Hours, Not Going Out, Red Dwarf, Faulty Towers, Vicar of Dibley, Black Books, IT Crowd, Morecombe & Wise, The Goodies, Bottom, Young Ones.

The Graham Norton show is the best talk show ever, because Graham gives the guests some alcohol, chills in his seat, and he lets them speak. He explained the secret to get the most embarrasing stories from celebrities: they don't care about the audience, or him, but they always want to be the one with the "best" story on the show and impress the other famous people sititng on the couch.
The Inbetweeners (UK) is one of the funniest comedies in existence. First caught wind of it in high school, sophomore year, i think. Loved it then and still love it now. Never gets old! Cheers to our cousins across the pond for these brilliant series!
Inbetweeners ruined comedy for me lowkey, whenever i watch American Comedy films i never laugh and instead cringe at how forced so many jokes are. Show like Inbetweeners, Jonah from Tonga, summer heights high are peak cos the comedy feels more natural and they dont ponder on a joke for too long.
They DID do a US Taskmaster, but it failed miserably, as do many US adaptations (Inbetweeners being a topical example). However, the New Zealand and Australian Taskmaster are excellent too
I'm french and I understand every english accent globally. So the fact that Americans are like I need subtiles to understand british accent is crazy for me....

So the northern Irish are not British because they're not on the right island even if we do "own them".
Graham Norton is so good because he genuinely is a host and does his best to make the guests comfortable and have fun and NOT like he is in competition with them to be the "funny centre of attention" like most of the American hosts I've seen.

Love Monty Python and Fleabag. I am constantly binging Fleabag over and over again. I prefer British humour over American humour tbh. But there are some good American humour out there.
A lot of americans don't watch normal british tv shows and thats why they don't understand their accent. Most americans are used to watching the stereotypical old history british shows. Thats why whenever they try to speak in a british accent they exaggerate it so much.
As a Brit myself, I would say our comedy is dry wit, great timing of jokes and the unexpected which makes it hilarious, and the topics are so far out there and it just works.
A lot of the British humour is totally brutal. These comedies if you can call them that are very simplistic. To appreciate real British comedy youn have to go back to the nineties and before
Taskmaster is one of the most consistently fun shows and formats out there (and all on youtube!). Even if you don't know the contestants. Can't recommend it enough. Especially if you like React. That part with Joe Wilkinson is one of the most savage moments in the show no, recorded television, ever. Just hilarious.
I love that one of the women hit the nail on the head as to why I often prefer British comedy - we do not spoonfeed jokes or have a character explain the punchline afterwards just to make sure everyone in the audience gets it. I also think a lot of the time, the punchlines are less predictable. I do like American comedy too, but I've noticed this key difference.
Taskmaster did have a US version as well as a New Zealand version. The UK version is on season 15, NZ maybe 3?, and the US was a tragic disaster (as expected) and didn’t make it past the first season. The UK version is hilarious though.

There was an american version of taskmaster, it was aweful! Every other nation that's made a version have done it really well.
Out of all the colonies, the US really ended up with the worst part of Britain - all the religious cooks and none of the humour:)
