In these days this was SOP. I was Navy, but I worked worked with a USMC GSgt. When this movie came out, he went to see it. He came in the next day to work. When I asked how he liked it, he almost blanched,. He said this was exactly like his bootcamp. The only difference was in the Marine Corps, they didn't allow first person pronouns, the recruits could only use 3rd person to refer to themselves as "The Private". As far as as the language, I only heard 2 or 3 phrases I hadn't used myself, only in normal conversation. This is man shit happening here.
