Honestly I kind of liked the game better when it was more simplistic (I mean how it was right before shadowkeep not year 1). Somehow the complexity (sorry I mean pain in the ass of champions) and modded armor has made the game feel less difficult and the combat more boring. You would think that making certain armor builds would be fun (sometimes it is) However, in reality armor becomes the endgame and the fashion game is severely limited. The power creep right now is higher than it has ever been before and the sandbox feels worse than ever. I feel light fall will change the annoyance with the mod management and loadouts but I still find the combat to be quite repetitive Yes, the subclass changes were awesome but the enemys in content just feel wrong. The combat in destiny 1 was awesome because you couldnt just run around aimlessly. Im referring to base combat not master or grandmaster content. I'm fine with champions being in strikes but I don't like them being in boss encounters during raids. I understand that the game is not going to be like it was in forsaken and I don't find myself quitting anytime soon. Also don't get me started with the whole artifact power bonus. What originally was intended to boost your level is actually preventing you from doing high level content. In order to do GM's you need to be max pinnacle and have a minimum of +15 bonus. Yes I know that if you play the game alot you will probably gain +20 and therefore wont need to be max pinnacle. However, the best way of leveling up isnt even available till the end of the season. This is just a rant and I don't expect any of this to change or at least not anytime soon.
So now that you've run all the 3.0 builds a bit, what would you recommend for various situations? Solo lost sectors, gm nightfall, raid, etc? You said in the arc Titan build you'd still recommend something like Loreley, and I'd love to hear your overall reccs

Yeah but the highest damage stuff coming from hunter is their supers. Outside of liars handshake abilities for hunters haven’t been as offensively oppressive as other classes.
Hunters suck outside of invis and feast of light. Outside of that, they have nothing in their kits remotely as powerful as this, locks have the dolla tree version with contraversive being goated since day 1, but HOIL is in true form now, nothing can compare.
I noticed you were saying about thunderclap "full power or not at all". I've heard others say the opposite when running your particular build because then you can get more frequent empowerment for your other abilities, since it's not that strong either way

Iirc they did say they would look more at balancing the light subclasses after they all been reworked, so they'll likely see nerfs next season or during Lightfall
If anyone wants to help me out, I recently made myself start playing titan after only hunter for so long. Does arc titan have any/good healing? I’ve really liked solar and void so far for the healing and overshields but I haven’t used arc yet. Just seems like healing is mega important nowadays and I’ve just started doing raids and gm/master stuff. I HATE being the guy dying and messing things up🙄 Hunter just got too squishy, but playing titan feels like relearning a lot of the game so I still make the team wipe here and there😑 I need tips
The knockout aspect gives you healing on melee kills, which you can do fairly safely from a generous distance with thunderclap. The barricade also gives nice survivability, and if you want even more you can throw in a mix of reaping wellmaker and well of tenacity for damage resist, or explosive wellmaker and well of... life? I think? The one that gives you healing when picking up solar wells.
you play the new titan like the hunter of old time dodging and weaving but playing from far... but now instead of weapons just use nades... the regen on this class is pretty bad since knockout needs melee kill(which on master+ content) is bad. u can use mod called "Heal thy self" to get small bursts of health like 'cure' from hammer
@@izanagisburden9465 That's pretty interesting, I see what you mean playing titan like that. After playing a bit and I can kinda get in the zone where it feels like hunter from back in the day. @Datto what are your thoughts on people still running double primary in Grandmasters? 🤣XD I had three teammates trying to use that for a loadout yesterday!
double primary is still viable, especially with the 3.0 reworks, though you would have an exotic as one of your primaries. something like wish-ender, lemonkey, or even quicksilver is decent
wish ender getting barrier piercing and a dmg buff is just, exquisite. I HATED using arbalest, because I simply don't like the feel of the weapon! wish ender perfectly takes that slot now. on hunter I can even triple jump while remaining scoped! though obviously I main titan :')
its already been nerfed. maybe stealthy but if you go to gambit or pvp it only lasts 5 seconds. you barely get any energy. thats lame and not even worth using in those modes anymore. if they wanna ruin another exotic in pve then yes itll get a nerf
@@jaypey8253 HoIL is still absolutely busted fam, and it still deserves a nerf in pve. Its the most powerful exotic in the game, and trivializes all other exotic options.

Just seems like healing is mega important nowadays and I’ve just started doing raids and gm/master stuff. I HATE being the guy dying and messing things up🙄
Hunter just got too squishy, but playing titan feels like relearning a lot of the game so I still make the team wipe here and there😑 I need tips
@@walkermenkus104 Dude thank you lots that helps a bunch! Tons of healing and I really like how thunderclap and arc titan feels as a whole!
@@izanagisburden9465 That's pretty interesting, I see what you mean playing titan like that. After playing a bit and I can kinda get in the zone where it feels like hunter from back in the day.
I've def been using tons of grenades too, especially storm on arc. Heal thyself is pretty nice to have and I've been making it work on higher level stuff too, grandmasters just kick my ass no matter what I do lol. Thanks broski.
- "Sometimes I have to check the side of the screen to make sure we're actually in a GM"
- "This isn't a troll?"
- "No, those are raids"
oof
This is why I will call titans "The Better Space Wizards"
GMs are a joke now. Not just Titans. The increased resilience, healing and builds with infinite nades, supers, abilities, burns, they are so easy now. Also weapons like Le Monarque and Wishender doing huge damage! GMs were meant to be a challenge, They are like strikes now.
Just bad game design from the incompetent a.i.
so silly how easy this game is now lmao everything falls over and nothing hurts
hardest part of the game is unironically finding the time to farm xp to get to a high light level
@@starlightrains i guarantee you cant even beat this weeks gm.
@@jaypey8253 why wouldn’t he be able to lol, lightblade was hard until people figured it out. I took my mate through who is god awful at this game and it was fine
@@jaypey8253 no, he's right. As soon as you're less than 10-15 levels below the content you're playing, game is brain dead easy unless you're a bot.
@@jaypey8253 ^ This and not to mention a lot of people still struggle with GM and M content, or neglect it entirely.
I used Lucky Raspberry for The Disgraced, Exodus Crash, and Devil’s Lair. It was pretty good and fun
This is how destiny should play every class and sub class should have an endgame power house build. This level of power is LORE ACCURATE AND IM ALL FOR IT
Seeing people completely blitz through Fallen Saber Nightfall is so fucking weird cause I remember having to cheese it back in Taken King. Powercreep is bonkers
Imagine bungie says, heart of in most light is too much over used. We are nerfing it
It's going to happen because forgot power fantasy
I’m so excited for this kind of silly content lol
Thanks Daddo
The next Streamer-Nerf 👍👍
damn, titans do be kinda op now
You should try a Shinobu's with Ashes to Assets build, really fun in GMs and we beat Lightblade with 2 Shinobu's and 1 Omni.
Does that mean jolt grenades are super strong?
@@davidv5584 it more of the super being good than the shinobu grenades... those grenades do PP damage
HoIL Arc Titans are better storm-callers than Stormcaller Warlocks
Always have been
@@Crushanator1 Titans didn't have Storm grenades or easy access to chain lightning until this season. It was not always the case.
Did this with some lfg dudes, we cleared rooms in like 15 seconds
Ambatukum!!
fallout's vault is full again btw. told me not to tell u but u didnt hear it from me.
Saltygreppo is a clown
Even when Datto's playing Destiny, he's building so many walls he's basically playing Fortnite.
Shocking how powerful our guardians have become
Shocking indeed.
Cant do that with shield throw
Well, time to enjoy HoiL while it lasts...
Who would win.
An alien with 4 arms, spider eyes, two phases where he shoots you then melees you while invisible
One elevated boxy boi
GGs to HoIL. It's probably going to get nerfed again in the near future, but it was fun. Haven't taken it off since Forsaken and probably never will.
So y’all remember pre-arc 3.0 when we all though arc Titan was getting a nerf based on pattern
And then bungie nerfed warlocks again
This is a very balanced subclass.
I’m here for this
If I had enough light to do grandmaster I would
I don’t think I even qualify for master…
Do your pinnacles and seasonal challenges.
wish ender getting barrier piercing and a dmg buff is just, exquisite.
I HATED using arbalest, because I simply don't like the feel of the weapon!
wish ender perfectly takes that slot now.
on hunter I can even triple jump while remaining scoped! though obviously I main titan :')
This should've been warlocks with the grenade aspect, not titans
Never forget, never forgive
keep crying, NeVeR fOrGeT, NeVEr FOrGiv
this class wars is going out of hand
now do it with rat king
love this shit man
There’s no way hoil doesn’t get hit after this 😅
its already been nerfed. maybe stealthy but if you go to gambit or pvp it only lasts 5 seconds. you barely get any energy. thats lame and not even worth using in those modes anymore. if they wanna ruin another exotic in pve then yes itll get a nerf
@@jaypey8253 wasn’t it always like that in pvp and gambit for balance reasons?
@@aurockson2696 yeah, he is just now realizing that. Everything ability related got that nerf in the 30th anniversary.
@@jaypey8253 HoIL is still absolutely busted fam, and it still deserves a nerf in pve. Its the most powerful exotic in the game, and trivializes all other exotic options.
@@lps2777 I think it'd be fine if the damage bonus got cut in half (maybe even totally) but kept the ability regen.
Keeps its identity, you still get to cycle abilities on cooldown, but you don't steamroll everything in the game.
*Cries in non meta warlock main*
I'm curious whatll be nerfed first:
Touch of Thunder storm grenades?
Or HoIL?
For a class not called Stormcaller, you guys are just making thunder storms everywhere.
this one got me rolling XD
