    Figured out some dates for the movie promos and such
    0:54 Wavelength aired at midnight June 8th 1990. (Found on newspaper The Tampa Tribune)
    3:06 Sometimes a Great Notion aired on May 22, 1992 (Found on newspaper Courier-Post from Camden, NJ)
    3:20 Presumably May 22, 1992, cant find any newspapers from Rhode Island in the year 1992, but a Carlisle, PA newspaper said the movie aired at 8pm on WTXF, which is a FOX affiliate as well

    4:09 There used to be a "Channel America" station in my town (Toledo, OH).

    FYI, WJKS, channel 17 in Jacksonville, is now WCWJ. It changed network affiliations and call letters several times before settling in as a CW affiliate.

    3:22 -- WJKS now goes by the call letters WCWJ, reflecting its CW affiliation. It was Jacksonville's ABC station when this segment aired.

    WACX's signal was from a translator and it was W69AY, in Gainesville.

    Nice going with those Nova Scotia catches, that might be some kind of record.

    FWIW, I recall these loggings from the old WTFDA bulletins. The Canadian loggings were from several fairly lo-power UHF relays in Nova Scotia. They came in several times that week, and there was speculation that these might not be uncommon loggings there. (No one, to my knowledge, has ever DXed full-time from the Outer Banks.)

    Nice to see the old Virginia Lottery commercials with Lady Luck there.

    That’s crazy how Philadelphia was closer than Charlotte and how Marlborough, MA was closer than Jacksonville given the fact that this was done in North Carolina

    Surprisingly WNJS comes in more clearly (with minimal fading) than the NY stations further north, given it's distance of 275 mi.

    3:49 EAS tone illegal usage

    • @Windfarmer
      @Windfarmer 5 лет назад +4

      using the sequence at the beginning (and/or end, I think) is illegal, not using the solid tone afterwards

    • @robloxian_yt7221
      @robloxian_yt7221 9 месяцев назад +1

      that is the NWR attention tone (1050 Hz,) not the EAS attention tone (853+960 Hz dual tone.) So it is still illegal (I think) since it is only reserved for NWR stations for alerts.
