Mazda has taken our house by storm. Girlfriend bought the 50, and I liked it so much but wanted a smaller ride, just couldn't find a 3 at a decent price so I went with the 30. Her dad ended up buying a soft top miata. It's just a nice driving experience, and I totally get what you mean by the little memories it creates. Just cars with extreme comforts, while also being uniquely different.
I’ve been really enjoying my Mazda CX50 that I bought back in December! I got it in the soul Red crystal color and it’s a premium plus nonturbo! Beautiful car! The CX 50 almost reminds me of a sport wagon!😁
A couple of things... The paint: as the owner of a spirited green Mazda 2 which gets parked next to a coworker's soul red CX5 at work, I'll agree that Mazda has some great colors. The automation: I haven't driven many modern cars with driving nannies, but Mazda seems to do its best to be non-intrustve. For example, my wife has a Kia. At the slightest hint of wheel spin it cuts power to zero and has left me with my zipper down in traffic many times. The Mazda blinks a little light at you, and if you ignore it, it gently throttles back while still allowing you to get out of the way of oncoming traffic. My little green nugget has won me over as a Mazda devotee.
Very nicely said! I owned a Mazda 6 2014 and I loved that car till the last day, everything about it, how it drove, how it handled, even the power even though it wasn't a fast car, it was a sport model so the only option on it was a back up camera. I bought a cx50 in turbo premium plus and i was driving it home and i thought it was just my Mazda 6! The way it drives, how it handles but it has everything i wanted in my Mazda 6! It has all the good stuff of my old Mazda 6 and a lot more options, it was like a dream, i couldn't be happier. I truly believe in Mazda as a brand and their products. Hope they can gain more attention and grow bigger, they deserve it. In the 9 years that i had my Mazda 6 it did not give me any troubles not once, and i hope I'll have the same experience with the cx50.
I'm a Mazda 6 owner and want the CX-50 but the market is crappy right now. I test drove it and it feels much more like a sedan even though it's technically a compact SUV. Yes I'm sold as a Mazda owner because of the drive feel. Imo you can't get that feel from the other economy makers...gotta go Luxury for anything similar or better
@@grandpa203 yea exactly it drives just like a sedan, i had to remind myself that it's a different car than my mazda6 for the first few days 😄 i hope the market prices go lower so you'll have your own. You won't be disappointed, you already test drove one so you know what I'm talking about. I'd suggest you get the highest trim so you'll enjoy it the most, honestly i think it's worth the price. I hope it'll last as trouble free as the mazda 6. My hopes are high.
test drove a couple 3's and i loved having the control knob right in front of the arm rest. Its a big loss for me when looking at other cars without it
Overall, it seems pretty nice. However, from inside it looks like looking out the rear window while driving seems really narrow and small to see out of. Kind of deceiving because from the outside it looks bigger, but inside way too small. Any thoughts on this Zack?
@@Low760 Probably a dealbreaker then. I would've hoped to have a decent look straight back instead having to rely on side mirrors as if I was driving a tractor trailer.
We have a CX-50 TPP like this one (though Ingot Blue Mica). It's fine. It belongs to my wife but I've driven it plenty. Rearward visibility is quite good (in videos that length between the dash and the glass on the hatch seems to distort and tunnel a bit) from the drivers seat. Over the shoulder visibility is very good as well. We also have a CX-30 and it has a bit of over the shoulder claustrophobia and a somewhat less generous rearward visibility despite being smaller and shorter in length. One real world example...my wife never once parked her Honda Accord smoothly in the years she drove it. On the first test drive in this thing she whipped it into a constricted dealer space at the end of a row with a blind entry and pinged it smack dab in the middle of the space. Hasn't had one single visibility issue or maneuvering problem. Fuel economy is not the reason to purchase this thing. But everything else....top of class.
Wireless Car Play! Can you confirm if the Car Play touch screen works while moving, too? My KIA allows me to use the touch screen while moving and it would be disappointing to me if Car Play touch is disabled while driving.
It’s a Insta 360 oneX2 360 camera on a stick! You can see the suction cups on the windows, those are attached to the stick the camera is on, and the stick is edited out!
I really would like to try a Mazda. But their paints lack of durability is a turn off and I don't trust their older models. Gonna have to wait for a while.
I'm not a huge fan of the fake vents but otherwise this is a good looking SUV. The fake vents give it character and give the big fenders some definition but it's a family SUV, not a performance car. It's impressive how Mazda has come from being mostly rebadged Fords to making their own premium products. They've found this weird niche in the market that works. It's interesting that they're bucking the trend of going with a massive screen but it's working. The 6-speed is fine but it would have been the perfect opportunity to introduce an 8 or 9-speed. Mazda has some of the best colors and the fading LED turn signals are unique. We've gone from incandescent turn signals fading on and off to LED turn signals blinking instantly all the way around to fading turn signals again. What's old is new again. My Subaru almost never shuts off. I'm more surprised when it does shut off. I'm not blasting the A/C or using the seat heaters either, I can turn the climate control off and the radio down low and it will almost never shut off.
Hey do you know how the memory seats work on these cars? I've got one and set #1 to my seat position but when someone moves my seat and I go to push #1...nothing happens
Set your seat, HUD and mirrors to your comfortable driving position, then press and hold "set" it'll make a sound (the "set" button you can find in the lower left of the steering wheel) then you'll have 5 seconds to either press button #1 or #2.
@@Vinito that's exactly what I did and what happened. I've set it at least 5 times. However if my seat gets moved and I go to press the memory seat position...nothing happens.
@@A_guan this is probably going to sound silly....but is the person moving your seat and then saving it over your #1 position? Not trying to ask one of those "duh" questions. Just thinking about it and trying to help. Hope everything else is going well.
You don't just throw your money on something just because of the brand name, there has to be something about the brand that'll make you biased about it, and rightly so, these cars not only look good and well made but can last long without issues of many other even luxury brands. Mazda is not Mercedes, bmw or range rover, and it has its own customers and following.

Ours too! There have been 6 Mazdas in our driveway in the last 4 years. 2 RX-7s, a Miata, 2 CX-5s and my Mazda 3!

My apartment complex has a CX-50 in that color and I park next to it every day. It looks so amazing
Great review, and wonderfully spoken on comparing your experience with the 50 and your 3, and a taste of home.
9:20 there is also a hidden Tow Mode which becomes visible when power is connected to trailer electrics which is a nice feature
Just bought a NA version of the cx50 in white. What a car! Absolutely love it.
What is NA?

Sharp design. I like the “shoulders” and the more truck like look. Zoom zoom!

Very nice! And the Cinemark is the one on 53!
My favorite suv by far
I love my 6.. the 50 is my next purchase for sure! Hopefully soon!
I too have a 6GT and I love it but it is getting old. I'm going to trade it in for a 50 as well.
15:31 in other cars when the turn signal is flashing its BAP BAP BAP! that made me laugh
I know it is all wheel drive and I see snow in some of the video. How does it do in the snow?
Love the reference about memories!! Was great!

hello love the channel and your videos
It would be interesting if Mazda makes a Ute style crossover to compete with the likes of the Ford maverick and the Hyundai Santa Cruz.😃
They do. It's called the bt-50

I’d buy it in a second if it had an option for a manual transmission.
