Current CX30 driver and wishing I had waited for the CX50 because I could use the space and IMHO it is a much nicer looking car. Either way, I am very impressed with Mazda from the sales experience to the service people and the very enjoyable driving experience. Mazda seems to really be doing things right lately!
I didn't like the sales experience and the dealerships, with the exception of the one by where I used to live, weren't particularly nice. If they had cut down on the cladding for the CX-30 it would've made a world of difference
My gripe is I bought a CX30 a month before they announced the turbo model 😅 But I am def replacing this old equinox commuter I have (which I hate) for a cx50 or cx70.
One of my favourite designs for Mazda's lineup, I really like what they did with the new CX-90 with the turbo inline 6 with their new 8 speed. Also the Mi-Drive also has a hidden Tow Mode, but it only presents itself when a trailer is detected with the 4-pin/7-pin connector plugged in.
Did you notice Mazda put the timing chain in rear of motor like Audi? Engine out for timing chain, manifold etc, by facing the turbo backwards with compressor side facing the fire wall and liquid intercooler on the left side, will make it difficult to upgrade turbo and intercooler?

The brake pedal feels significantly different on the CX-50. It's a hard press and takes more travel to bite. The CX-5 brakes are very touchy by comparison.
Great review and well done Mazda! The CX9 was always a homerun which made it hard to get excited about the Cx5. Having seen a few on the road this is a wonderful evolution.
