Shane Dorian and Mark Healey paddle into what may be the biggest wave ever caught without a jet ski at Waimea Bay on December 7, the day before the Eddie contest. Luv following you Shane; as well as Jackson. Your blessed dude with a amazing son, and teaching your son what life is all about, and taking advantage of all the outdoor surviving skills while you and him are enjoying life, and that's what life is all about. Truly amazing... Can't wait to see what you do next. Life is full of amazing possibilities 💙😇🤙
that is one hell of a wave to paddle in to.
glad I had the big board for this one !
I've only been on much smaller waves but I know the feeling. These guys are living the dream!
absolutely mental, that was awesome.
Off the charts.
I don't know how to surf, but I think it's one of the most amazing sports in the world.
Amazingly beautiful
Anyone that dislikes this video has a special place in surfer hell reserved for them. Good Work Dane and Mark.
*Shane*
AMAZING. The Perfect Storm.
completely sick!!!
AWESOME!!!!
That's pretty frickin huge!
thats insane
Shane & mark will go
Good old boys!
they're crazy!!!!!!!!
That's insane! And to share that w/ a bro and have footage! Right freaking on!!
I snaked my friend at doheny and we both ate it, and I thought that was cool
I was there wooooooooooooo
Ggs
fascination...inspiration...motivation
Wtf pac sun
still one of the biggest waimea waves ever ridden!
no it's not the biggest, but it's fookin' HUGE anyway! Nice vid, good to see people are still stoked with sharing party waves too, feeling the love there!
it sounded more exciting than it looked lol
brah, so much more epic than tow in, dorian's the man
Spelled it, said wrong-- Haule!
so sickk
good skills boys
Crazy
Looks like fun!! =D
even the rocks under the water were like "oh shit this one is going to clean our asses up"
lol you two are insane.
Friggen AWSOME!
Ive surfed out at the point a few times (8'-12' faces) and I still have to say that wave is the fastest, steepest wave ive ever ridden. The wave comes in and before it breaks it jacks up almost vertical so when you drop your basically falling down the face. These guys are charging almost 3x as big as I was going.
MY BDAY!!
when the mavs contest happened not to long ago it was easily over 30 foot
people always have to pick apart videos. who cares if it is or isnt the biggest wave ever paddled into. cant just soak in the fact that these two dudes PADDLED into this huge fucking wave. amazing. so fucking cool.
It seriously hurts just to watch this lol.
Yeah, I'm sure the Colts' Defensive Line looks pretty small from the Nosebleeds, too. You feel up to taking them on? (I can just about guarantee we'd all fare better against them than a Waimea closeout set)
Struth ‼️
cool
mad men!
Surfing is fun and it does get you in shape I don't know what kind of surfing you have been doing...
UNFUKINBELIEVABLE..
craziest fuckin surf story of ALL TIME
I guess there's some stuff missing in the title...The biggest wave ever caught...by paddling in...at Waimea? Laird Hamilton and his buds had already been riding bigger waves--by tow-in and paddle-in--since the 1990's at places like Jaws. Hamilton's famous ride at Teahupo'o in 2000 might have been bigger than this.
duuuude i go to waimea during the summer !!! i heard the biggest waves are during december tho :/
surf is the best sport because it depends on nature(it can change in any second and the wave can be totally different),not like many other sports that depend on you (skate boarding for example, the skate park is there and remains the same the whole time) thumbs up if you agree
RE - FUCKING - SPECT GUYS !!!!!!
Wow
@feeneythefiend mavericks can get pretty solid but this wave looks around the 30ft+ mark. epic shit
Mark Healey ,
I am not worthy
I am not worthy
Yes a very big wave and well done guys. But bigger waves than this have been paddled into at Waimea. I've seen it myself.
"whoa i haven't seen anything like that!" *thinks* "i should surf right about now"
And I slid, down a much bigger wave-- in Mexico? It isn't the, biggest-- not even close.
You didn't slide, out there, only Hawaiians did. You already, is known as-- Satanist from Sweden.
Were these the days of no jetskies..no inflatable vests
I dont give a fuck what anybody says. That wave was fuckin huge, and 90 % of surfers would be shitting bricks out there. Props to healey and Shane
That is a monstrous wave but its hard to say if its bigger then Brock Littles wave at Waimea or bigger then Greg Knolls at Makaha. I would say its definately in the top 5 biggest waves ever paddled into.
holy shit
My name is Dorian. Hurrricane Dorian
TEAHUPOO!!!!!!!!
@TheJameslake12 yeah but they meant the biggest wave paddled into...not towed into
If by pitted you mean, "mowed down by a gazillion gallons of whitewater," then yeah, that was the best pit of the year.
man wasnt that a vicious wipeout . . . he had enough time freefalling to write his own eulogy :D . . .
Sick shit
Balls bro, huge balls.
How do they walk let alone surf with such huge balls?
i wanna see this at regular speed
if you fell on that....
Thats a lot of water moving
LOL
that's what she said xD
I think biggest wave ever paddle in at Waimea Bay.
In my sleep I was having nightmares that there was barbwire in a surfing spot in the ocean and I got stuck in the barb wire whilst my friends where watching me do areal manouvers out surfing!!! I woke up thinking of how I think obviously that everywhere in Australia and the world is intensity landscaped into a seemingly safe place for humans, but since doing surf Life saving training as a child regularly I allwase know the ocean conditions can change completely and my like mind allwase gets visions and memories thinking of how different and more full of giant crevasses and underground caves that everywhere including the coast would be if it wasn't all completely sculpted by humans!
This was not biggest wave ever caught but it was the biggest wave ever paddled into. In this video: Struck in Tsunami the wave is bigger but he didn't paddle.
@tatencortes LOL
thats the day that we will live in infamy
My brother surfs ever day in Hawaii... he was on the phone with me explaining what he was seeing... I asked if he's going out.... "FUCK NO... I have wife and kid!"
yer people, i agree, it's not the biggest wave ever caught but who bloody cares? it's still a monster!! I wouldn't even consider going out in that let alone paddling for a wave that big, and the best thing about this clip is the stoke they got from it, after all they say the best surfer is the one having the most fun :)
surfers are nutz...
i was there chee hee
@prettiwiki how is he mocking them?
they got sooo pitted
i feel like surfing is so dangerous. If you fall in a wave like that your dead.
Hardly.
Laird would water ski that soup.
some of the waves he caught at mavericks looked bigger
You can compete in surfing actually..
@ravkes actually a tsunami is a series of water waves that is caused by the displacement...Nah, j/k. Don't you hate it when someone replies to you with some junk they read off wikipedia and play like they're experts in the field? Ugghh. We need a youtube marshall.
are you kidding me? this isnt the biggest wave ever caught!! two weeks ago i was surfing, having a good time with some friends, when a monster grew up and i simply take it, it isnt so difficult dude, i even made a handstand on my surfboard!! ;)
11 people can't appreciate surf
you probably don't surf since you made a comment that it was nothing.
Not even close. That's what I used to see in surf films when I was in High School. Waimea, Makaha, and the Pipeline was all there was. Nobody had even discovered Jaws. Or Nazare.
INCREDIBLE GAYS!!
haha a conversation right? with who? yourself?
but they did just surfed it, right?
is not soooo big, but a good picture anyway
In Texas we call that a ripple on the water.
Dont think its the biggest ever caught but good size
and i pu myselfg
Nope Not the Biggest wave No way
I agree with you. I've been watching surf movies since the late 60's and I've never seen Waimea over 30 feet. But apparently this video was taken in 2010 (?). It's 2019 now. This video was way before they discovered Nazare.
That was 30 foot back easy
Not even close
think mavs was bigger.....?
