Low porosity hair is tricky because it seems like no matter how much water or product you apply, it doesn’t penetrate the cuticle scales.
On top of that, the client is so dense, it makes it twice as hard for water and product to absorb into the hair strands.
The cuticle scales on low porosity hair are closed tightly, making the hair shaft resistant to water and products.
I promise you, I thoroughly saturated her hair with shampoo, but it wouldn’t lather.
But I didn’t give up. I continued to cleanse her hair and scalp as usual because I knew the product was on her hair. I saw it with my own two eyes.
Next thing you know, bam! The second shampoo was a breeze, and her hair became fully cleansed and ready to receive moisture.
So all in all, take your time with low porosity hair to make you get the same outcome as I did at the end of this video.
God knows I was fighting for my life to get her hair clean and hydrated.
