  • Architecture has lost its agency and authority in defining Modern Day Myanmar’s Culture and its Built Environment. It has been frozen in time and space where it hasn’t been innovated to become a New Typology that defines us who we are as a culture and a society today. Aung Tun Lin is the founder and principal architect of LIN INNOVATIVE NETWORKS, a multi-disciplinary architecture and design firm which focuses on providing culturally and environmentally conscious design solutions with innovative approaches since 2018. He is also a licensed architect under Myanmar Architect Council. He earned his BSD Architecture degree from Arizona State University and MArch degree from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. As an entrepreneur and a passionate educator he has extended his reach in education by establishing a college admissions support service - Capstone Education Consulting. He and his team has helped Myanmar students gain admissions into world’s prestigious universities since 2018. With his passion in architecture and education, he is now serving as the admissions advancement officer and one of the lead masterplan architects for Myanmar’s First Non-Profit Liberal Arts & Sciences University - Parami University. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx
