Thank you so much! I wish I had called you for advice when the little guy was first born. He seemed to be willing to latch on - he even gained a few grams initially but then .... well... sad to say he did not make it.

Yes! Today is Sunday May 12 and the 4 are thriving!! They are one week old tomorrow so I'm reaching out to my waiting list ❤️

Thank you so much! Yes, Dazzle is a great mom. I just got a call from the vet and the little guy has not gained any weight today. He has lost 3 grams. 😒

Jim, sadly he did not make it; he died at Quakertown Vet - we all did the best we could to help him to thrive but sometimes I have to admit to myself that my best can't override mother nature. I still have much to learn about how best to care for puppies that are 3 ounces when they are born. Burberry was 3 ounces and we were able to feed her round the clock but she had the drive to live. These are the sad moments in being a dog breeder - it is real, and hard.
@@svccschnauzers i’m so sorry to hear the very sad and heartbreaking news! 😢😢😓. Everyone that follows you on your channel all know that you (and Jim) do your absolute best and sometimes it still is not sufficient to compensate and override mother nature. I’m sure you and Jim must be heartbroken as I am as well, and many of the readers will be when they see your message.
It’s a comfort to know that your schnauzers have an expert like yourself that is so highly capable and pours their life into this schnauzer breed - giving them all the absolute best possible care and highest percentage of survival, particularly for such a tiny little pup that was only 3 oz’s. So sorry for your loss of the little pup! 😢

What’s the outcome on puppy number five?
I did share in prior comments that the puppy #5 died while at Quakertown Vet Hospital - he was being tube fed every two hours and he wasn't gaining weight.
Does the mama dog when you take the one away like the one at the vets for tube feeding, does she look for it.
We have a saying here that we developed last summer - you will hear us say this alot in in the Penny and Sweet Tee co-parenting videos, "It is a good thing she can't count!" 😂 We said it then when they were co parenting Sweet Tee's 8 puppies and Penny's 4 - they were AMAZING moms willing to nurse each other's puppies and treated all like they were theirs ... Mom dogs can't count. Dazzle is focused on the 4 with her and she is not looking for the other one. If all the puppies were removed she would be crazy looking for them.
