I lived in Istanbul for 3 months last summer and loved every day of my stay except the traffic. Loved the markets, every other Tuesday I took a ferry to Kadikoy and went to Sali Pazari. Love the foods and kehvalteh which I became a pro to make myself later. Loved the pigeons everywhere. Loved seeing the stray cats are well taken care of and are super friendly. Loved Turkish hospitality. Loved the music, night life and many many things. Hope to be back again

Another great video Beri, with lots of good information. Our son lives in Istanbul, and we have visited him there and we absolutely love it. We can’t agree more with all of your favorites! The culture and the people are so warm and friendly, and we found they love chatting and practicing their English with us, asking about life in California. I noticed you didn’t add your dislikes. We have only one and that is the road traffic and how crazy the drivers are 😱but all in all we LOVE Turkey and especially Istanbul. We love watching your channel, so keep them coming!

My wife is Turkish... born in Hopa and moved to Istanbul. We lived in Kucuk Bebek (95-97) on the Asian side for 2 years while I was teaching,. I love the vapor rides, foods and I'm a photographer. We have traveled to many parts of Turkey. My wife first saw other parts of Turkey when I insisted that we travel. I am an adventurer! We hope to go back this summer. Our daughter is getting a minor in Turkish. She has been traveling to Turkey since she was 6 months old. 🙂

Istanbul is a mixture of Europe and Asia while Mexico City is a mixture of North America and Latin America. Both are very nice.

Hi, I came back from IS yesterday (my second visit), it was snow unremembered but it didn't spoil the visit. Guide tour is too much for you after twice time visit (expensive and unnecessary)....only for airplane transport and hotel resevation. Its too easy to go around of city with public transport. You just have to have good organization and strength to walk (I had 23,000 steps a day and I used max public transport) to buy and tour the things you want. Because for Istanbul there is always little time to get everything. Good luck

Mexico has a very serious crime problem. The cartels are too powerful. I guess there are some very quiet areas in Mexico. In Turkey, they are very friendly towards Indians (I'm assuming you have Indian heritage). They grow up watching Bollywood films. I think culturally, you'll feel closer to Turks. If you mean for the residence permit, yes, we apply for the first time according to your purpose of stay (touristic, health, education, research, family, etc) the most common ones are touristic, education and family.
Depending on the type, then you need to get some documents to support that reason of stay and then they’ll approve it or deny it, before it expires, we need to apply for the residence permit renewal by following the same steps.
