I just moved to Turkey from Mexico. I tell my family too that I will be here for a year but I know I will live here for a loooonng time. It's sad leaving but I'm so much happier here.
Mexico is depressing
Funny, because I always thought that Mexico and Turkiye are quite similar in culture, mentality and cuisine. So why do you choose a similar country to move? Greets, a curious turk
@@cvnkvn5753 because change is fun sometimes.
I wish you all the best and sooo much good experiences with the land and people !We love u!
Have an amazing time !

You listened to yourself and not others, you followed your desires and your feelings no matter anything. And in the end everything paid off,so it came true. Love to see it and greetings from Bosnia and Herzegovina =)

Thank you Bery for your honest and interesting story. I have been following your videos since I moved to Istanbul. Your story is amazing and somewhat relevant to mine. I have a Turkish spouse as well and because of her I am living here since 5 months. Although it's not my first country that I moved to (I lived in Germany for about 5 years). I have not experienced something bad yet in Istanbul but I definitely have to work on my Turkish to get more comfortable and friends here. On the positive side, the culture, beauty and food in this country is "on numara" :)
Are you from Pakistan 🙂
Harika video olmuş yenge. Size ailenize ömür boyu mutluluklar dileriz.
I loved listening to your story. You are so sweet and artistic. I love listening to your voice and how you narrate your experiences. Keep it up!
Hi Bery loved your story so so happy for u hopefully coming down in the end of June with my sister & son. Your tips and advice is going to help us a lot to travel around Turkey lots of lov from UK
Now that we get to hear your story a little bit more I must say that you have such an inspirational life! Thank you for sharing your videos. I'm finally visiting Turkey in June for a little over two months! Looking forward to it!
Thanks for sharing your story, not everyone has the courage like you to go explore another country alone. Iv'e always wanted to go visit turkey and would love to move there when i am older! Im starting college in the fall and hopefully when i graduate i may be able to go to turkey and experience life there😀 All the best!
I really appreciate this video, it inspired me so much to come to Turkey one day. Looking forward to seeing my friends there 🙏. Thanks for sharing. Just subscribed to your channel. God bless you.
Ay Bery me siento super identificada. Me alegro mucho que todoo funciono perfecto!
It was a frank, honest, open minded, inspiring narrative of your shifting country. Its not just women but men also feel home sick n dramatically decide to go back to their mother country but neighbours, friends colleagues come to your rescue/help n make you feel comfortable. It takes a year to come out of this till you once go home n come back. It was a faithful talk n your videos are latest and informative. Best of luck for your future endeavours.....👌👍🌹☺️
Hi, thanks for the very informative video. Im 25 years old from Philippines and I always wanted to go out from my comfort zone- to move to other country. Thank you for making me realize that I can do many things and explore different culture. I hope I will finally move there next year.
Selam ülkemize taşındığınızmı. .?
Very nice story. I'm glad everything worked out for you. I imagine it's very hard to make a new life in another country but if your will power is strong, then there is no stopping you. Good luck. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks so much Bery. Awesome video and thanks for sharing.
I really enjoy watching your informative videos. You inspire us all to travel.
Thank you, Kevin!! 🎉🎉
Hi . We have been watching you for over a year now. .. you are an amazing lady. Well done 👏. Thankyou for your videos + tips.
Welcome to Islam .
My story about why I moved to Romania from Poland is also pretty long. Some day I will do a video in English about it. Your story is very interesting Bery 😍 That's great you found your place to stay and love of course 😍 greetings
Yes! I tried to make it as short as possible, there were many things I wanted to share but I had to cut them, otherwise it could’ve been a 30 min video 😂
Do you miss Poland?
Turkey is beautiful♥
Wow ,on first moment I was thinking you are Turkish, but watching this video I realized I was wrong 😀
Nice to meet you and to listen your story and your experience to start new life in different country,
I never been there but soon will visit,it’s in my bucket list, maybe next year,,we have similar culture like Turkish people,,it’s not easy to start life in different countries and cultures but need a little time for everything,
We came here to Canada from Balkan ( 22 years ago)and still wants to move somewhere back ,also Turkey is on the list,,,,no doubt it’s beautiful country,,,,
I am so glad I find your channel and I can learn more about country and prepare myself for next adventure,
Wishing you all the best, stay connected my friend 👍❤️🙏🏽
Greetings 🫂
Hi Bery,
Although, I have been following you for a while. This is my first time ever commenting on your video. Thank you for sharing your experience. I couldn't help but smiling throughout the whole video. I love how you followed your dreams and didn't care what anyone else said.❤️ I am currently saving money to move over there. Do you know how difficult or easy it might be to find a job as an English teacher ?
Hi Nihan, thank you for your comment. 💜 If you are a native speaker it is not really difficult to find a teaching job here. For non native speakers it might be more difficult.
Okay thank you Bery 💕
@@BeryIstanbulTips I'm a native English speaking woman. I'm 68. Are there restrictions on the senior age groups?. I'd like to teach English in Turkey. Do I need a teaching certificate or degree? I think you did well for yourself 😉
I always here to watch your videos...I will never miss 💕
Thank you so so much! 🙏🎉
Really enjoyed your story Bery!
💓💓💓🥰🥰🥰 I find Turkish people the most hospitable and warmest people ever🤗
Your manners , gestures are so natural , you also said you have got a free spirit , I wonder your horoscope , let me guess , could be Taurus , as a Turk , I do believe that most of the foreign people , first of all could have some reservations , prejudices against Turks but when they live in Turkey , when they experience daily life with local people , they mostly become a Turkish lover , it was also nice to listen your story.
Thank you for watching! Im Aries (Koç) and in Chinese horoscope I’m a dragon 🐉🐲, I could never seen myself trapped in an officr more than 10 hours sitting behind a desk 😀
I really like Turkish people, and somehow Mexicans and Turks are very similar, warm and welcoming people, that’s why I feel like at home here 😍
Same here, the people are so lovely
I agree !
Thank you for yet another inspiring video 🤗 Keep safe 🥰🙏
My family too and friends were upset that I left my country and moved to Egypt, I was intending to move to Turkey but ended up in Egypt. They were upset that I was leaving my career and money opportunities even to the point they stopped talking to me. But in my heart I knew I wasn't happy and needed to leave. I don't regret it and now it is almost 6 years.
Buena experiencia….gracias to share tu experencia .q deos te bendigas
Wonderful review, a brave story Bery! Thanks for sharing!
Please share any Indian/Vegetarian restaurants or hotels we can try in Istanbul.
Love the crisp audio 🔉
Wow. :D Hey i'm Turkish guy living in Bursa city in Turkey but admit that even i can't live in Ordu for 1 year. :D Kudos for you :)
I enjoy ALL your videos!
Vamos iam here😉

Hi berry
I n my wife appreciate your experience n your description of live in turkey is so detailed
After seeing all your RUclips on turkey we have decided to emigrate to turkey as we found is a beautiful place to live n not so expensive
We come from Singapore n a very small country
Hoping we might meet up with you if we travel to turkey maybe sometime this year or early next year
Wow MashaAllah
Muchas gracias por compartir tu historia, justo lo veo en el momento indicado!
My comment is far from the video content but I have always thought you are 20 or 21 .. you look soooo young maşallah ❤
Wish you a long happy life ❤💛💕
Your delightful
Very nice channel
i always wanted to move to turkey but i think it's too late...should've moved when i was young...
Never too late…
Did you move by yourself? Living alone? Is it safe for women in Istanbul to live alone?
I had been waiting in this whole video that u would show ur husband and tell us something about how u met him in turkey and get married. I think this is ur very significant part of life of turkey but u missed to share with your viewers.
I was waiting for this storytime too :)
I would move to Turkey or Canada ! I really wish to move to Istanbul but I am a bit afraid and I would be alone because my bf is not comfortable enough to do this lol. But I would. Maybe some day, who knows. I enjoyed your video
Canada would be a great choice too! Remember something, our only limitation is ourselves, we are capable of doing many things that we didn’t believe we could, and the best part, is that it makes us stronger. I hope one day you can also experience living in another country.
That is a great video idea! I’ll write it in my list! ❤️🙏
No encuentro tu libro en internet. Quiero comprar la guía de Estambul de 3 días.
Hola! Ya están de nuevo en el sistema 🙏
Very nice story you have ? I follow you
Hi Bery, I am very seriously considering a move to Ordu in July or August, but I speak only a few words of Turkish. (I am from the USA.) I would like to hire an English-speaking translator in Ordu to help me out for the first week or so of getting set up (renting an apartment, registering my cell phone, etc) but I can't figure out how to go about finding someone to hire. Would you have any suggestions for me on where I could start? I would love to hire a college student who is studying English or something like that.... I would be grateful for any suggestions on how to find such a person!! Thank you so much. Your story is very inspirational!!

Hello Bery, I want to visit Ordu. Can you recommend some must-see places to visit?:)
Dear lady we want to move within a few days to Turkey after our bad experience in a other country for 5 years were we aren't welcome even after we invested a huge amount of money in their country. We belief that Turkey is a much better choise! The only questions we have on the moment are the following, do they have in Urdu also international schools for our children and in case we register in Esenyurt IST is it easy to obtain Residence Permit for Touristical purpose. So that we can search the property market for a suitable appartment for a good price! Best Regards, Johan and family.
How many years or month tack you to learn turkish and how much is to buy house in turkish especially istanbul...can you be my guide when ever i came please
Beside your family You have missed nachos boritos papusas but I am really happy for you i am planing to buy property in Istanbul love the city
Oh yeah! Food is in the top 3 things I missed from my country 😂
@@BeryIstanbulTips I was in Yucatan and visit chichenitza piramids took a picture with kukulkan head and swim in cenotes you country is awesome!
Hi berry
I am planning to move to turkey for three months starting November. I try to look for Airbnb but it is not matching my budget to the area I need to live
How did you find a job ? You found it in turkey? Can you pls tell a suggestion about that?
Once you are in 🇹🇷, you can look for job opportunities on LinkedIn, kariyer.net, yenibiris.com, those are the biggest platforms for jobs used here 🙏
I am watching form Pakistan ? I like turkey so much ? Special Antalya ?
Ok so you moved to Turkyie and you had a job already, how did you manage to find the accomodation ?
The first city I lived in, the school I worked with arranged everything for me, so basically I didn’t have to worry about that, they also paid for my accommodation since was part of the job offer.
How do you look for jobs in Istanbul ? Thanks for the video, I really like you 🌹🌹
Before coming here, I applied for a practice through AIESEC, but that is only for people with a college degree and younger than 30 yo. Once in Turkey, you can look either on LinkedIn, yenibiris.com, kariyer.net.
@@BeryIstanbulTips Thank you, It was just for my info, I have a remote Job with high salary and I am in Istanbul for 6 months now, the country is amazing on every aspect
Make video on Spanish language for basic learners
Hi 🙂
How do you manage long distance?
I'm italian and I hate the city where I live.. I wouls love to go to Turkey one day, but I would also love to go away from thisncity with my boyfriend, but I am not able to manage the distance from my family and little nephews, even just to a city that is 3 hours away from here 😢
I hate the city where I live, but I can not imagine to not see my nephews 2/3 times a week, and my parents etc.. I don't know how to do.. Suggestions are welcome 🙂💕
Is not easy especially the first months.
One just needs to be strong, I remember crying often and almost every night after coming back from work to my empty flat. That was my routine probably my very 6 months in Türkiye.
Knowing that I was missing important moments with my family was also a struggle but somehow we need to overcome them, the positive thing is that your country is just a couple of hours by plane from 🇹🇷 is not the same as my country that is very difficult to go even just for a weekend, I can’t do that, because just 4 days are gone in going there and coming back.
Yes, you’re going to miss everybody and living in another country isn’t easy but if you really want that experience and fight for it, you’ll always find the strength to do so.
Humans are amazing because we have an incredible way of adapting to things, places and situations, just believe in yourself and get mentally prepared for that step, and remember, crying and missing our family once we are away doesn’t make us weak, it makes us stronger! The great advantage we have now is technology, just with one click we can see and speak to our beloved ones!
Just believe in yourself ❤️
@@BeryIstanbulTips thank you so much for sharing your experience and points of view!
I thought you girls travelling the world had not those moments of sadness the first months 😂 , I thought that yes, of course you missed them, but that it was different, like you were some kind of warrior 😂.. So thank you, this is comforting in some way 🙂
I will think about what you said, thank you 🙂💕
Hola Amiga, I wrote you a couple of weeks ago to help me and tell me if you can, what bus can I take from the airport to the Asian side of Istanbul ,you never answered. Thank you.
Will you do a video about how to get a recidence permit and how much it cost for one year? And you once said we need work permit to work in turkey so i come to turkey and I didn't get job my visa is expiring so I want residence how can I take that is that possible? What are the requirements? Pls Tell me 🙏🙏
We already have one where we even shared the official website where you can check for the updated information and documents needed, also the official website where one can apply for first time and renewal.

No, I thought you are turkish- How to meet you ? and use your services ?
Retired in Mexico and enjoy the magnificent weather south of CDMX
I don't know how you live without torta ahogadas! Wet hamburgers are not the same! LoL. At least in Türkiye you can find the ingredients to make Méxican food (well, maybe not the variety of chilis) - in México I still have trouble locating ingredients that are common in the USA. Occasionally I would just like some cheddar cheese instead of that plastic 'American' cheese!
You said is easy to find ingredients to make Mexican food? Hahahahahah sorry but that was funny and sad 😄
Nop, I wish we could but is so hard finding ingredients, are mostly non existent here. We can only get some when another Mexican comes to Istanbul and brings stuff to sell to us here but that’s probably once a year when we get lucky when someone offers us that.
But you’re so right, I don’t know either how I can live this long without my Mexican flavors 🥹
@@BeryIstanbulTips I guess I was thinking more of spices - almost everything is available in Istanbul. Herbs too (well, maybe not epazote, but I have trouble finding that in Mazatlán). I haven't seen masa, so that's a big one missing. If you close your eyes though, lavash could almost be a flour tortilla :)
Senin gösterdiğin cesareti hep taktir ettim. Videoyu izlerken o Türkiye'ye yeni geldiğin günler gözümün önünden geçti. İyi ki geldin , iyi ki hayatımızdasın güçlü kızım😘
Besides Turkey being a beautiful country, it's a good place to live if you enjoy traveling internationally-- as it's a short flight distance away from many other interesting countries.
Amazing video as always! I'm moving to Turkiye soon as well (from Portugal). Keep going Bery! We love you

When you come, why not! ❤️
Yes you are perfect Turkish than ther Turkish people
🙏🙏🙏
I'm trying to figure out where I want to be (not here in Canada) and I realised that if I went to Turkey I would have no desire to bring anything with me, other than my cat. Never been, but I love the food, and have met some lovely Turkish people. I'm older so it's soon or never, but the war is very concerning, and I've heard housing prices are going up. I've never lived in a city or town, and not entirely sure about how it would be in a rural area.
there will always be absolutely reasonable and logical reasons for not following your dreams heather, that doesn't mean doing so will do you any good - because for every reasonable "not to" - there's several "why you should"-s.
Go for a little trip and go with an open mind. It’s very overwhelming the first couple of days, but after that, you’ll feel part of the scenery. I’ve been 13 times and still can’t get enough of it.
