    Thanks for these steps. Spot on as always! There are so many places to stay in Istanbul and there are many incredible neighborhoods. We have stayed in both AirBnbs and hotels. We took a bus from Istanbul to Cappadocia. It was a long bus ride, but the seats were pretty comfortable and they had really good wifi on board plus snacks! We continued to take the buses to Pamukkale and Selcuk, but would love to do the train through Turkey one day!

    Superb video! Lots of great information! And lovely footages! Pamukkale is so awesome!
    For covid times as of july - The HES code comes only after filling the registration form for Turkey. So basically only 72 hours before the journey. So nowadays booking inter city buses are a bit tough online without the code and ahead of time. Have to wait till the 72 hour mark to get the code and then book a bus ticket.

    • @levinawalsh2015
      @levinawalsh2015 3 года назад

      Turkey as far as I am aware is the only country requiring the HES code. Without it you cannot take any public transport. So if I arrive at Istanbul airport I will need it to take a bus or even a taxi.

      what do you need?
      your preference is nature, travel is the black sea region
      If your choice is sea, sand and sun, the Mediterranean region
      Aegean region if your preference is sea, sand, sun and history
      If your preference is food, history and culture, it is Central Anatolia or Southeast Anatolia.

    I am living in istanbul Golden Horn. if you wanna come to here ı have to say the best season; April, May, September and October.
    Unbelievably crowded and noisy in the summer.
    If you are considering a historical trip, it is best to stay in Balat.
    You can easily reach the city center by transportation.
    If you are not going to rent a private car, it will be in your business to get the cards sold for transportation.
    you feel like a part of it.
    the names of the places you will stay;
    European side: Balat, Ortakoy
    Anatolian side; Kadikoy.

      SUMMER HOLIDAY IN TURKEY
      ruclips.net/p/PL6m02U8LbZte7kBlJjkMVI8BzFO5TZQdk
      I wouldn’t suggest at all coming to Istanbul just for a day. The city has so many places that even 1 day isn’t enough. Also take into consideration that the airports are not close at all to the main attractions, it takes 1.5-2 hrs by bus just one way, that means that you need at least 3 hours roundtrip (without traffic) airport/main area/airport.

    I am sorry but i have been living in Australia for the past 51 years and i am initially from Black sea coastal city of Samsun and i have driven all around the black sea area bare in mind that cars in Australia are right hand drive, i found that the roads are very good and well maintained, the only possible problem lies is if you are going to a village that's on top of a mountain, even then, most of these roads are sealed but they are narrow and hence do present a challenge to say the least but nothing that raises serious issues. Since no tourist is going to go visit a village way on top of a mountain i really don't see any issues, the only reason i drive up to the village is because its my wife's village.
