I love okra and my mom used to sauté it when I was growing up. I never knew about the slime just the wonderful flavor it had with black pepper and salt. Your meal looked delicious 😊
So so happy to see you Jaël. It's a good thing you are living up on the hill. I am so praying for all the families on the ohter side. May He give them all the strength they need.❤ Thank you for the recipe. I love my okra in a soup. But i am baking if first. Than indeed it is not so slimy.❤
Yummy! I should try this non-slimy version of okro (or okra). Your version looks quick and colorful on rice, with that omelette. Otherwise, SOME people in my neck of the woods are die-hard fanatics of okro soups, complete in full glory with relatively thick viscosity that requires special manual dexterity to eat by hand (the traditional way), usually with a variant of ugali. The okro soup dish is enriched with smoked fish, crab, and/or beef / goatmeat / other meat, etc., depending on what's avaliable, in season, or affordable. Inexperienced eaters of the viscous / slimy version easily end up with multiple trails of 'telephone lines' all over their tables, clothes, and even faces! Most cutlery woefully fail to cut it, when it comes to the execution of that delicate and almost precarious move of okro soup from bowl to mouth. So finger-licking is par for the course. Yummy!
Great video! Thanks for showing us how you plant carrots and the okra recipe. I have always wanted to try planting carrots and this gives me the courage to try
The beauty of the village is unmatched, have loved how you have segmented your garden per crop and kept it weed free. Nice to see you enjoyed the video.
