Your backyard looks great as always. I like the diversity of plant life you have. My wife has been drinking hibiscus tee for a while. We have five hibiscus plants (pink and yellow variety) growing in pots (she only uses the pink for her" beverage"). We however have to bring them indoors to an enclosed, heated porch here in the midwest US where we get heavy snow in winter. They flower at different times of the year.
As for HBP, my mother had it throughout her life. She managed it with minimal medication and relied heavily on a strict diet. She eliminated most salt and sugar and greasy foods. She lived until 90 (passed away last year). We drink turmeric/ginger/cardamom tea instead of traditional black tea that has lots of caffeine ( I think Kenyans drink too much of this and the high processed sugar they add to it may be why we see the spiking health conditions we are witnessing in Kenya). I have seen in the literature an increase in cancer rates that are beginning to parallel the out-of-control rates here in the US. I think its mostly unhealthy lifestyles and bad processed foods with a big dose of preservatives.
Jael, I noticed you are still jumping trying to reach the high flowers! Good for exercise but you may want to invest in an extended fruit picker. My basement here is full of all kinds of gadgets for gardening (some of them help a lot with reducing back pain and preventing any unwanted movements that could cause injury to our spine, nerves and muscles). A good back support belt also helps when gardening.
Asante sana for educating people about nature. The best food huko nyumbani is what our parents grew up on. A good diet (as organic as possible) and exercise reduces the amount of medication needed, unless its a debilitating disease.
I've learnt a lot from this comment. Thank you so much for the advice, tips and health information. ❤️
I love hibiscus tea. Very expensive here in the USA. I boil with ginger and cinnamon in a large batch and keep in the refrigerator. I don’t like taking pharmaceutical drugs as well. Thank God at 70 years old I do not need any daily medication except my vitamins and exercise. Blessings Jael and happy you are well. My main meal of the day is around 2-3pm my local time, but I drink a number of cups of tea throughout the day. One Love ❤
You're living a very healthy lifestyle, Carol. Cheers to good health. Live long my friend.
@@jaelofthevillage - yes. Want to live long to visit Kenya and meet with a few of you. Also enjoy some of your good food. 🙏🏼😊❤️
Wow, we learn new things everyday. I am glad to learn that hibiscus flower lowers high blood pressure. Thanks for sharing this information ❤
You're welcome, my friend. How have you been?
Thanks very much for this tip on Hybiscus. I did not know about it! Also, Garlic is great for HBP, Cholesterol, stomach/gut health, and (in the tropics) keeping mosquitos away/from biting one (hence no malaria). Swallow a clove or cut it into pieces the size of a tablet (DO NOT CHEW) every day. You may smell the garlic when you go to the bathroom (#2) but nobody has to be in there with you so no big deal!
Amazing. Thank you for this useful information. Have a blessed weekend.
addicted to your channel..... kindly put all your contents on one channel it will.improve on your viewership hours..just alternate the contents

You're welcome, darling. Use it as your regular tea.
Jael, I love your videos, I learn a lot from village life and your culture, reminds me of Jamaica where my parents are from. I find them calming because of the slower pace of life and your garden. So I like to watch them just before bedtime because of the calming effect. Really enjoyed the visit to the market with your daughter☺️.
Thank you so much. I should do more videos out of my homestead. ❤️
Am in for the new channel,I love cooking.though I love the village life as well

Hello Jael, good to see you again. WowI have been enjoying hibiscus cold tea, just as a refreshment, I never new it is good for some conditions. I felt in love with it in Mali when I visited my supplier, they call it BISSAP DRINK. Since then they send it to me from Mali and I brew a big jug and keep in bottles then store in my fridge and so tefreshing.
So good. Thank you

Hi Jael. Its good to see you. I had missed your videos.❤❤❤
Thanks ,darling. I miss you, too. You're my other family and when we don't interact, I feel like something precious is missing. 😍😍
Most definitely, you are my sister for life. I love all your vlogs and your peaceful gentle nature.❤❤🥰🥰@@jaelofthevillage
Thank you for sharing Jael! You look absolutely beautiful in your gorgeous dress! I had forgotten that Hibiscus tea lowers blood pressure. Wish that I could grow my own tree in my apartment here in Canada! Lol! God willing I’ll be able to visit Kenya some day. Each time I watch your video it keeps beckoning to me………
Thank you,Wendy. Please create time and visit. I'd be glad to host you. ❤️
@@jaelofthevillage Awwww………….. Thank you! That’s so sweet of you!
Beutiful. Glad you took a rest dear. It is very important. Lol I have heard of hibiscus tea and although I have them...i thought it is something else not the plant outside my house. That food is giving me hunger pangs. I need to start dieting. My weight is growing. Big love Jael. We love your channel and will subscribe to the cooking channel too.
Thanks,darling. Have a lovely weekend
I didn't know nice that I learnt this
Awesome
My sister ❤life time

Growing up in nakuru, this plant was ever, didn't know it had such important benefits.
Now you know. Every day is a learning day. ❤️
Hibiscus leaves can be cooked as vegetables. they're slimy like okra ❤
Wow! This is news. Thank you.
I am late today because I did not receive my notifications on time and I don't know why. I missed you sis thank GOD you are back and okay.
Better late than never. Thanks for always showing up. ❤️ ❤️
Great video as usual keep it up! Your home or village for that matter seems to be ripe for Airbnb. The atmosphere looks tranquil.
I know! Every time I see that compound I want to move and live there! Look at that scene with the chicken running across the yard!. She/they are so blessed to have a home that looks like that in the countryside.
Thank you. I've been thinking about home stays.
@@jaelofthevillage Please do it. You will receive a lot of visitors who are affiliated to this channel but are located abroad.
Love your hibiscus 🌺 printed sun dress😜
😅 thank you. I didn't notice I had the flowers on my dress, too. Lol
Hello Jael, just put the food recipe on this channel,it's better to manage it on one channel than two
..thinking about it. Thank you,darling

Thank you,Besh. Abironyisi wach lawni
Waiting ❤❤❤
😍😍
You really don’t need to add additional salt to any of your dishes. And also drink a liter and half of water every day.
Medicamento be serves a purpose. However lifestyle changes help as well. Exercise and reducing weight to a level appropriate for your height. Eliminating sugar and starch from our diet is helpful.
Sure. Thanks for this
I can't agree with you more🤗
Jael, I stay close to your home, I actually did my high school at Ringah boys, kojwach. One day I would love to pay a visit if you don't mind. I want to collect some business and survival tips. I shall appreciate your support and advice. Otherwise, I highly appreciate you, in particular your life courage.
Thank you, Oyier. Karibu jirani
Hi Jael I love your compound.. did you have to get a landscape planner? If so please could you plug me?
Hi,Mabel. Thank you so much. I actually did the landscaping with my brother.
Hello Jael I want to see the progress of your house
Coming very soon.
Aki Jael where did you buy your aluminum pots? I have been wanting such pots for a long long time.
Can't wait to subscribe to your new channel!
Hi Ruth,My new channel is on. I bought them from a hawker. He sells door to door.
Ati hawker😱kumbe there some with genuine items
Jael, kindly be aware you're using the wrong Hibiscus Flower!
Please be careful. You need Hibiscus ROSELLE.
Really? My sister has been using this for over a year. Is it harmful in any way?
Thank you so much for the content, where are, or what part of Kenya are you located, it is so beautiful! Again thank you!
I'm in Homabay county
I just saw the video (from a year ago) where you say termites are eaten with other food. In California, termites are considered a nuisance as they destroy the wooden frame of a house. If left untreated a person will have no house. People have their homes inspected annually and if any termites are found, a pesticide is used to eradicate them.
Wow! Yes,they always destroy wooden structures. Here we don't use wood in building walls. Very rarely
I have just subscribed to your new channel sis. I am here for you until JESUS CHRIST comes back
Thank you my love.
@@jaelofthevillage I will always be here for you my lovely sister always support you in my little way.
Hibiscus tea really good, plus also fasting and keto diet helps alot to reduce Hbp, avoid using seed oils and start using lard, coconut oil or suet...
Yes, I did all of this to control my pressure naturally when I was first diagnosed. I'm not keto anymore but with fasting, exercise, aloe vera, moringa, pear leaves, ACV, and other herbal teas, I have controlled it without medication for three years now.
Wow that sound good,I was also diagnosed with HBp ,I did fast n keto diet,I have stopped medication 6months now..@@garnellwallace5594
Thank you for this namesake and Garnell
Hi.I just love your energy.where can I have seedlings for such different hibiscus.Im in Nairobi.
Thank you,Nyambura. They are sold along Ngong road. Just on the roadside
If you are able to find "rose if Sharon" it's also good; part of the hibiscus family
It is available in garden centres. I will get some
Long time dear
I'm here darling
Very educational vlog thank you. 🥰Did you grind the hibiscus? did you mix it with hot or cold water? Could you show us that in your next video Jael?
Hey dear, check the vlog after this one.
❤❤❤
Please dont forget to update us if the hibiscus tea works, both my parents and my sister are also managing bp. I wish I could taste the meat, it looks yummy.
Hi Caroline, it work my sister has used it for over one year now. Great results

Hi,the compound always clean n well organised, dry the hibscus i will come for some😅

Hello, I have noticed that when the advice was given to use hibiscus for high blood pressure the writers were calling sorrel flowers, hibiscus. So they are saying use sorrel for high blood pressure. Different countries call plants by different names. Scientific name is hibiscus sabdariffa
Thanks for this clarification.
@@jaelofthevillage you are welcome, I am interested in seeing how these hibiscus you picked work out.
Pelau. Is this how you spell it? This dish is special to Caribbean folk! Please share your way of cooking it.
Pilau. I will do that for you on my cooking channel. Thank you
Jael, eat greens
😊 sure
Yummy meat❤
😋
May I ask you how old you are ? I have a smal farm,, too. I am finding it harder to work as I get older.
In my early 40s.
What type of meat is that, looks delicious.
Beef
Which type of hibiscus is this?
I have different types
So coincidental, isn’t that hibiscus patterns on your dress.?
😅😅😅 I didn't notice until you said it. Lol
You're wasting your tomatoes by peeling off the top. Why don't you try spot slicing the black top area
😊 thank you. I'll do better next time.
