    Thank you so much for this video. I've grown tomatoes for 65 years some of the best in the county. I will definitely use your method on my next crop. I tend to like a lot of the heirloom tomatoes, they tend to grow tall, and have large heavy fruits. This is definitely the best method for staking tomatoes that I've ever seen. The aloe makes perfect sense and I have several of them growing in my greenhouse. Can't wait till spring. Thank you

    During WW" we used a similar system in raised beds on stagings three feet clear of the floor at either side of a large greenhouse and trained up just under the glass to the ridge. We could walk between the two stagings to work on them and produced excellent fruit at 46 degrees North.

      ... aloe dog dookie, both effective and since I have 2 dogs 🐕🐕💩💩 😉 I live in Sonoran desert Buckeye AZ 🌵 I have been building up my landscaping current house last few years, planted aloe next to the pool 👙 ☀️ it can get 119° summertime I planted it for sunburn relief plus they grow like crazy here. I've built 6 - 4x4' garden by the square plots also next to the pool.i have 3 kinds of grapes 🍇 will be growing on 6' wire fencing I'm adding to back southern facing wall of property the raised beds are about 30" tall. Cucumber, squash, some larger melons all need trellis to grow on for effective vertical growth I like the arch design I'm thinking I can do cubes just as easy in the beds w that wire back wall should kick some 🍑 production wise and now the aloe planted 2 years ago starting to spread and become abundant will be employing it for all seed production wow 🤯 mind blown I've been getting a lot of rain will be getting boxes planted soon I'm excited to do so added an Asian pear, pink grapefruit, Mexican lemon and lime tree 2 years ago might get fruit this year they were all sapling or yearlings 🤠🌵☀️🍇☀️🍑 native cactus/succulent/grasses here w basic drip systems also grow very fast here there were 4 trees/shrubs in front yard of 8 years old house HOA min I believe when I bought the house June 2021 person that lived here didn't do boo Diddley squat with the place no added plants 🤷🏻‍♂️

    You don't really have to wait until they turn red. They can be harvested when they start to turn a bit yellow at the tip. Keep them in a cold, dark and dry place. They will get ripen in time without affecting the taste. In this way you are stimulating the plant to produce more fruits. Also I understand, for better looking in the video, you left them.

    I like the trellis idea and will give that a go. However, putting a single seed in a pot is risky by itself and it takes 15 days to just germinate to a seedling. Those were big, healthy starters that had to be close to 2 months old at least.

    • @DIYGardenIdeas
      @DIYGardenIdeas  11 месяцев назад +4

      Thank you for your comment! I'm glad you liked the idea of using the trellis method for growing tomatoes. It can definitely help with getting bigger and juicier fruits. And yes, starting from seeds can be a bit time-consuming, but the end result is totally worth it!
