The last time we encountered the abyss order in the main story was in Genshin version 2.6, specifically in Archon Quest, Chapter 2 Act 4: Requiem of the Echoing Depths in the Chasm.
So, where is the Abyss order now? Have they already abandoned their plan? What are they looking for now?

Between Dainsleif stating that he has a more immediate agenda than stopping the Abyss order in 2.6. Pierro wanting to "seize authority from the Gods", kaeya seemingly oberserving on standby, and the Abyss's LOF operation and restoration of the homeland.
The Abyss, Fatui, kaeya, and Dain could either come together for their Goal against celestia.
Or go against each other for their own personal goals.
It would be cool if there was a Khaenri'an envoy or double spy on celestia.
We still have yet to see more Ruin automations, Abyss troops and monsters.
And we have yet to meet Skirk and Rhinedottir.

To me the Mondstadt quests look like AO and Fatui were working together. I don't think you can rule that out. It could be the Sibling is hesitating now that they know their kin is alive. I think the Fatui have not quite made the connection yet. Piero lived with the Sibling for a time - they are at least acquainted.

I vaguely remember or don't remember but I am pretty sure in a archon quest some enemy said paimon will betray the traveller or something similar

Ah you mean Enjou? Enjou ever said that in Enkanomiya. There was conversation where Enjou said like this:
Enjou: "Take that little fellow by your side (Paimon). Perhaps you shall someday face betrayal from that corner too. Who knows?"

I agree with was you said at the end, abyss related quest are kinda underwhelming so far. Thing is they only have 1 or 2 quest per region but also the fatui had 11 prominent members at the beginning while the only real character for the abyss is the sibling. It would have been better if th abyss had a similar group (no need to have 11 of them but 4 or 5 would have been enought) and that during the archons quest the 2 groups kind of try to outsmart the other. I really hope the abyss will have real characters aside the abyss herald and such
I said it before but I'm a bit sick of dealing with fatui, they're cool don't get my wrong but the abyss is related to the cataclysm which is one of the biggest known disater in Teyvat and after 4 region they barely had 2 operations who failed miserably as far as we know.
Kahenri'ah was dangerous enough to trigger the Heavenly principle and need all archons to be mobilized and they are humiliated (operationwise) by a group barely 500 years old
sorry if that seem like complaining but that just ideas who could have been interesting, I really hope they will act a bit more from now on. Cool video as always 🍡

Abyss order probably gonna have member too like fatui, im pretty sure of it. They are another antagonist of the story. Mihoyo not gonna shove it all at once since we still focus on fatui as antagonist. Same with honkai, first it's the herscherr, otto and now kevin.
