    I used to hate this concept because most people who teach this directly go to “speed ratio is x:y, so time ratio is y:x. … y-x is N units. Equate this to this and that to that.. done! Option so and so is the answer.. this is how we solve it without using a pen and paper”.. Sometimes they even say “if you take more than 30 seconds to solve this, you’re a waste, you’re a loser” lol!
    It makes you feel dumb, as if you can never solve these problems. But this video made me feel at ease. Even the tone and voice modulation of the teacher matters. It makes you feel anxious or comfortable. This teacher’s voice is soothing and his tone is good too. He is also saying things like “see how easy it is?”.. it gives you confidence! Thank you, sir, whoever you are! ❤

    Good Efforts.
    Aside for students :
    Let A and B are two variables such that product is always constant.
    Using the concept of inverse proportions we have --
    1. If A increases by x/y then B will decrease by x/(y + x)
    2. If A decrease by x/y then B will increase by x/(y - x).
    These two relations will solve ANY problem where product of two variables is constant.
    Example 1 : If speed increase from 40 kmph to 50 kmph, it means speed increase by 10 kmph or 10/40 = 1/4th. Here time will decrease by 1/(4 + 1) or 1/5th. If we know the decrease in time, we can find the original time. In this example if we say initially boy reaches school 10 minutes late @ 40kmph but reach 20 minutes early travelling @ 50kmph, then time decreased is 1/5th of original time.
    => 1/5t = 30 or t = 150 minutes.
    d = 40 x 150/60 = 100 kms
    Example 2 : If price of sugar increases by 33 1/3% then how much decrease in consumption to keep expenditure constant.
    33 1/3% means 1/3
    Increase in price by 1/3 will lead to 1/(3 + 1) = 1/4th or 25% decrease in consumption of sugar to keep expenditure constant.
    All examples in this video can be solved using this.

    • @ksnarayanan5281
      @ksnarayanan5281 2 года назад +1

      Yes.
      All problems involving two variables where product is constant can be done using this principle. Further examples could be Area of Rectangular shapes, Volume of cylinders etc where area, volumes remain constant.

    Easy approach for Question 10
    S' = 5s/7 where S' is new speed and s is original speed
    Conv everything into hours
    (1+40/60+48/3600)=42/(5s/7)
    Hence s = 35

    Sir, do you really think a 'student' or even teachers themselves, can solve these sort of questions in a single minute, allotted by the assessment paper. This is only going to frustrate the students no matter they can or cannot solve these questions as the time will keep you bound inside the 60 Seconds mark, this is highly frustrating and deeply distressing.

    For Q no. 5
    50km/hr and 60km/hr
    Take LCM 300km/hr..
    In 60 mins its 300 km
    Then in 40 mins its 200km .. hence proved in 10secs.. similarly u can apply for Q6 and find ans as 18 km... Faster than rocket

      But in 6th question both the timings are late than his usual time may be that s why 20-8

    Excellent explanation...sir can you please explain the logic behind the formula you used in 9th question?

    • @priyankugoswami4442
      @priyankugoswami4442 2 года назад

      The distance that was travelled by person travelling from jammu to delhi in time say t is the same as the person travelling from delhi to jammu in time 289..so Speed(A) *t= Speed(B) * 289...by similar logic we get Speed(B) *t = Speed(A) *361... So by this two equation we get the formula mentioned here mechanically
