Great review, well done. Only suggestion/recommendation I have for any of these types of systems, install a desktop UPS to maintain power to the homebase and WiFi in case of power outage/deliberate power shut off to record any subsequent events and receive notifications. Also as a basic security measure, ensure each camera can see the next as you surround your house so you have no blind spots, so loop your vision in one direction around the home, clock wise or counter clock wise.
Thanks for the review on this product! I need a security camera for my home setup, and this video is pretty detailed. It helped me make my choice on purchasing it :)
I set them up 2 weeks ago and like them so far . My only concern is I have been reading that they are sending all your data to the cloud with facial recognition from your home base without permission . Does anyone know about this and can I refuse the cloud option . Thanks
from what i have read, 3c only works on HB3 but 2c works on both HB2 and HB3 and since HB3 has the AI software you would also get that on your 2c camera
The official Eufy page says that you can set the recording time up to 2 minutes for all EufyCam and EufySolo Cam models, other models such as the wired doorbell etc. cannot, the one in the video is the EufyCam model, which means that you can set it up to 2 minutes.
Biggest issue is the very short detection range and the dumb IR LEDs (would blind itself close to a wall). The app is also a battery hog. Get hikvision for serious stuff.
Thanks for putting the work in making this video

Thanks for the detail Kev, definetely looking to purchase
No problem 👍
My nasty old lady neighbor is jamming my front driveway one. So I just learned bc it was being offline in the front & not the backyard one!

Great video!!! Definitely would purchase for my new house.
Woo hoo
how do you charge the cams? i don't see a port for a charging cable on these
Via micro usb from behind the camera, there's a silicon cover
Will this send me notifications if my smart phone isnt connexted to the wifi? If i am away from home using my mobile data?
Yes it will, as long as the camera remains connected to the wifi at home
Can I set time for it to record and other times just sleep?
I dont believe so
Can you use different cameras in the system?
I dont believe so
Can the 3c still run on the same home base?

Can this system be used without WiFi? I want to view live pictures from my phone when I'm in the house
Nah, it needs internet connection
Hopefully the 20 second recording limit can be changed with updates
It can be changed in the settings, up to 60s

Can it be connected to two cell phones ?
That i know it can, the main user just has to send a link to the other persons phone

Can more than one device be signed in to view and get notifications, ie phone and an android tablet?
