I think after the excitement and novelty wore off...I'd just rather use my computer for most of what the Vision Pro does. During my 'honeymoon phase' (my favorite times with new tech! lol) I imagine I'd LOOOVE and be blown away using it for things like browsing the internet, watching movies/youtube, and checking out all the available vr/ar content on it. But most of the vr/ar content and games seem like they'd get boring pretty quickly. They'd each be exciting and awesome to experience once or twice, but not something to come back to again and again. And I'm lazy. When I just want to sit back and browse the internet and watch youtube, it's just so damn easy to take out my MacBook. There's no gimmicks to it, no set up. It wouldn't be as fun or exciting as the Vision Pro, but most the time I just want to be lazy and use whatever's most convenient. 3d movies/content would be mind blowing with the Vision Pro...and this would actually be a major reason for me to actually justify keeping it, even if I don't use it often. But as far as 2d content? Again...the Vision would be amazing with this. I love the idea of having a huge 80 inch 4k television here with me in my bedroom... But you know what else produces a huge beautiful screen for me here in my room? My MacBook. I often lounge about in bed or on my couch with my Mac plopped up on my chest/belly and at this distance...the screen is HUGE lol. And again, it's all about the ease and convenience. When all the hype and excitement of the purchase has worn off...after the fun 'honeymoon phase' has passed...I'm pretty sure the Vision would just end up collecting a ton of dust...while I continuously just keep reaching for my MacBook, iPad and iPhone. I'm very sad that Apple hasn't pushed this thing harder than they have over the last 6 months. I REALLY want a reason to buy one, but Apple has done a VERY poor job of providing me that reason.

I'm so on the edge. I wish there was 1 killer app/game/use that would push me over into the purchase. I'm really frustrated that 6 months in, and I still can't find that 'thing' I'm looking for. I so badly wish this was geared more towards gaming. Beat Saber is my favorite VR game I've ever played...was SUPER addicted to it for months. Even just this 1 single game...would likely be enough to push me into purchasing the Vision Pro. But no, it can't even run a relatively simple freaking game! I still have a small amount of hope I keep pushed down far in the back of my mind that one day Apple will create a couple of controllers or something and push this thing into gaming...because if they did, the Vision Pro could me mind blowing for gaming... But that hope gets smaller and smaller as the weeks go. 6 months in and I'm just left feeling frustrated. I REALLY wanted to be awed by this thing. And it does awe me in a lot of ways...the tech of the device itself is the stuff of dreams. I'm tempted to buy one just for watching 3d movies. I'm desperate to find a reason to get one! Apple is really dropping the ball here :(

I am soooooo dissapointed that the vision pro spatial personas HAVE to be based on our real faces😭. Seriously, I'm ugly asf and want to be able to fix that by escaping into the VR world and choosing everything about how I look. For me that's honestly the whole point of VR. The Meta Quest 3 for example, allows you to choose everything about how your avatar looks. You can be as hot and pretty of a girl on there as you want, which is literally the whole reason I even bought the Quest in the first place. Ngl, I used to be interested in the vision pro, until I saw how restrictive the spacial personas are. Hopefully in a future update Apple will give us full customization options for avatars just like Meta. But until then, I will never ever put my hands anywhere near the vision pro. And it really pains me to say that because I'm a huge VR enthusiast😥

Ever since I first saw it, I fell in love with it. I've finally got enough saved up to get it, and it's arriving in a few days! Until now, I've had the Markus, but I'm too short, so it's never been really comfy for me. My head doesn't properly reach the headrest, and the seat is too deep for me.

Bought this ring 2nd generation last month. What I didn't realise was you have to take the unit out everytime you need to charge the battery because you cannot just take the battery out to recharge it. I've nearly bought the spare battery but it's going to be useless😢

I’ve had this chair for over two years. It looks very nice but is very uncomfortable. I tried it in store, but at home, the seat base seems to slant forward so I always feel like I’m being pushed off of it. It forces me to slouch, which ends up being painful. I don’t see any adjustment point for this. I’m going to try shimming the rear screws with a couple of washers.

You can remove the armrest! I just got one myself and so far I am loving it!

Biggest issue is the very short detection range and the dumb IR LEDs (would blind itself close to a wall). The app is also a battery hog. Get hikvision for serious stuff.

8:56 is it cleanable? Or will it remain a bit dark? (like when you have used the chair for months/yars)

I purchased the iPad M4 Pro 13 the day it went on sale. I’ve had nothing but problems going to websites. My internet equipment and service was thoroughly checked out and all of my TVs and other devices work great. This iPad on cellular with 4 bars and internet with full strength (5) bars, circles and circles. I’ve spent weeks with support. They sent me another iPad, and same thing. I kept my old cracked screen iPad since they only offered me $25 for it. I find myself putting the new one down and going back to my old iPad or my husband’s really old iPad, and get on websites lightning fast, but I’m $2600 in the hole. It shows it’s on the internet full-strength. Apple had me to take off my VPN and all security apps, because they said they interfere. Don’t we need security? The problem is it is on the internet. The problem is when you try to go to a website through Safari or Google, it loads the URL about one inch and stops. It may eventually load or not. If you are lucky enough to get into a website, it’s even worse trying to go to links inside of the website. My other complaint is that the iPad is real easy to slip off the case. I haven’t dropped it, but when you go to adjust the angle, sometimes it just slips right off the case onto the keyboard. I’ve spent more time in the Apple Store, having it scrubbed and reloaded, and setting up a new one. Now, they just want to do a repair. Repair what? If they can’t make a new one that works, how can they expect to repair it?

I set them up 2 weeks ago and like them so far . My only concern is I have been reading that they are sending all your data to the cloud with facial recognition from your home base without permission . Does anyone know about this and can I refuse the cloud option . Thanks

Something myself and other developers/programmers might be wondering: how does the computer perform when multiprocessing? For example, when I code in Python, I sometimes need programs/scripts that take advantage of most of the cores available on the machine. A good test case would be how long it takes to multiprocess a list of database rows by calling some API and futher enhancing the dataset.
