Something tells me you're only gonna review products you were already interested in, so the research time flies by, but becoming educated in new topics always eats time.
Thanks, Karl, for the in-depth review and honest appraisal of strengths and weaknesses. In some ways (e.g. effective solar recharging) these wireless camera systems have come so far, but in others you identify (e.g. the compression that limits ability to identify people, and the reliability issues), they're still disappointing. I'm also seeing complaints in Most Recent reviews in the Apple App Store about pop-up ads in the Eufy Security app, ads which can't be blocked in app settings, when you're trying to watch video. I know you're UK/Android, but are you seeing ads in the Eufy app?
Here from ya main channel. Yip I have the eufy 330 3c set up. Its great, already chased a Maori up the road with a fishing spike haha, and he got found really quick, in Te Puke NZ lol..... the Taniwha couldnt read the security under serveilance sign lol.
The video compression was enough to put me off. and the other concerns that you stated at the end of the video makes it a firm no for me. Seems to me that most of the issues are software based and if those get addressed I might consider them. I have some cheap Tapo IP cameras from amazon and I think they seem to be better than this system.
I wasn t sure about another review of the s340 but I m glad I watched yours. Thanks for your honest review. The homebase 3 is indeed not a great product because all your camera s have to be in range and that s not always possible. It was better that the homebase uses the wifi setting in house to communicate with the camera s.

I can hear my gd neighbors talking on mine and there a couple hundred feet away from my house and there crystal cleaner and they load up super fast Eufy Cameras are pretty much perfect just make sure u got some fast ass WiFi and good steady Super strong signal
A friend and I were looking for sub free alts to the tech giant stuff and i think the door bells seem good enough, I was also liking the cameras but they need to allow for high res file storage, whats the point of having gigbytes of storage when the files are so small and poor quality

I agree the mic's are sensitive but the product is far from perfect, just look at the video quality on anything but your phone (audio is also massively compressed). A good WiFi signal is very important for sure, either from the Homebase (if you have one) or the devices themselves.

Now this is what we needed, we're in the market for some cameras and I think because of you we're going to go with Eufy instead of Ring.
I installed some yesterday, after getting the doorbell last year. Got a deal in the black Friday sales. Really happy with them

Agreed mate, the solar is working well but video quality is poor.
No ads in the Android version so far.

Yeah I agree mate, using both your home WiFi and the Homebase would be much better... as would less compression on the video footage!

Sadly no, it's all designed to be wireless.

They are not supposed to, but badgers seem to trigger it even though I have it set to humans and vehicles only.
