The image of you alone in a cinema is haunting Gavin

Ooh just got back from this. After the fourth episode, (spoilers) they played a “knowing is half the battle” segment with bumblebee stopping someone from running away from home. Then it all sound cut out as it starkly cut to in an in memoriam for actors who’ve passed. That was very shoddy, then the lights just turned on and that was it. Kinda thing you’d see as a joke in a parody film

It's downright incredible that this is where the Transformers ended. Just the one episode, but a lot of potential. Imagine what could have been.

  • @HellCat86

My showing was me surrounded by scarcely a handful of balding middle aged men and someone closer to my age who got up in a huff mid first episode and didn’t come back.

  • @Jamesotronart

It's all a bit David Lynch with that empty hall with the mood lighting.

  • @TehBellcarl

Far be it from me. But I’m starting to get the vibe this Transformers brand thing isn’t the juggernaut it once was.

  • @windsweeper8002

It was interesting but I was glad they reverted to the original voice track after episode 1. Soundwave and Starscream in the new dub just didn't compare to the originals for me. Starscream wasn't too bad but I think they needed to give him that slight metallic edge that the original had. I think that's why I couldn't quite take to his voice in the Netflix series which unlike most fans, I actually enjoyed.

Simply FANTASTIC! You are amazing! I loved your little nods to the "problems" of the first G1 episode. Even my wife was laughing. Thank you for a few short minutes of joy.

Air dried? I don't know, looked pretty damp to me 😉 I'll have to knock you up some day when I visit the village that bears my family name, & where I also presume there's a castle waiting for me to reclaim my birthright. Just be sure to find us a pub where the seats are nice & cushioney ✌😄

  • @glory2cybertron

Our local screening had a decent amount of viewers between 20 and 40. No kids though because it was at 8 pm.

  • @HappyBirthdayRoboto

Gavin, Gavin, Gavin, I went to my screening of the exact same show today and I too was the only person in the audience, weird coincidence or perhaps it was to be expected! TBH I'm glad I was alone as it was awkward seeing three episodes of a forty year old cartoon on the big screen, if I had bumped into another soul I'd have just had to nod respectfully and move on. Mind you I paid close to £13 and that was off peak, prices were high because I live near London, you're lucky everything must be dirt cheap over there in Middle Earth.

    @FREKKI  +1

Probably the best meeting one could hope to have in a town hall though.

  • @thedeadpoolwhochuckles.6852

seems like the kind of thing that would put you on a watch list.

  • @RobDeMann

So many seats to choose from!

  • @talljoke

Scotland looks exactly how I imagine it.

  • @harrisonwhaley7872

I’m going to see it at a movie theater near me on Saturday, I’m really excited

  • @rolon-will3362

Just been to this event in central Brighton with my friend and his kid. Pretty empty, about 10 folks. Plenty more waiting to see the next showing. I enjoyed it.

  • @ae_double

    Now there's a segue.

  • @josephmcgivern2735

Just got back from a showing at the cinema a. We had about a dozen folk there so less awkward. Had a good time and really enjoyed the script reading. Mostly because Frank Welker was clearly just having a lovely day with his friends.

I know G1 always had spotty animation at the best of times but
