    • @DirtyDriveAway
      @DirtyDriveAway  4 года назад

      Although it spins falch doesn't class it as a turbo nozzle. A turbo nozzle uses a single nozzle and is very aggressive. This has 4 nozzle jets and covers a much wider area but isn't as destructive as the single turbo. A regular turbo nozzles is the 0degree jet spins in a chamber to create to spinning motion. The Downside is that they can de layer natural stone and break out cement joints quite easily.

    Nice vid and nice to see you here again. Is there a reason why you wouldn’t use a fsc on that job?

    • @DirtyDriveAway
      @DirtyDriveAway  5 лет назад +3

      FSC's are so over rated, they don't give the level of clean i expect. The biggest downside to an FSC is that the rotor arm is fixed (well you can lift it up and down but not easily adjustable) normally the arm is around 1-1.5" from the surface, this is too close for mortar'd joints. Yes you can lower the power down but then that affects the clean quality. FSC's don't clear as you clean, so you end up with pools of dirty water and usually stripping because you've missed bits. On really heavy moss and weeds they struggle and with extreme moss it will bog the rotor arm down. I find with all the faffing about with an FSC I can do a better and sometimes quicker job just using a lance. Phill

      Dirty Drive-Away have you heard any good things about annovi reverberi pumps?AR RSV 4G40 Triplex specifically, it’s on a Hyundai HYW4000P it’s a bit closer to my price range, although I did look on dual pumps website but no prices were listed

    • @DirtyDriveAway
      @DirtyDriveAway  4 года назад

      @@c0deye1 yeah dual pumps don't show prices, they actually make a lot of the washers. If you go onto lunesdale pumps the site is nearly identical and they have prices. The problem with any machine and pump is that it's only as good as the components. Annovi pumps seem to be used on the more budget machines but a lot of these cheaper machines don't have reduction gearboxes. Pumps without a gearbox run faster and therefore hotter, professional machines run a 3600rpm engine with a 2.2:1 reduction gearbox the pump then runs at a nice 1600 rpm. Remember the cleaning power of a washer is not about the pressure but more about the flow rate. For professional cleaning ideally 16lpm+ is best, you can go lower but jobs can take longer.

    Do you post treat when finished?

    • @DirtyDriveAway
      @DirtyDriveAway  4 года назад

      No, there's no point. Using sodium hypochlorite is wasteful if it's not needed and won't keep the area any cleaner. It can help prolong algae re growth but if it wasn't bad to start with then that won't do much. All this pre and post treat stuff just pumps up the price and adds time to the job. Weedkillers you have to be licensed to use no matter what type or brand it is, even DIY store stuff you have to be licensed to use commercially. I charge a fair price for the best job I can, customers have me back year on year and charging for treatments that not really needed can put customers off calling you back.

    • @gibsonspressurewashing9986
      @gibsonspressurewashing9986 4 года назад

      SH is the way to go. Keeps the area cleaner for longer periods of time. Worth both time and money. Not sure how expensive bleach is over there but it is cheap here.

    • @DirtyDriveAway
      @DirtyDriveAway  4 года назад +1

      @@gibsonspressurewashing9986 I agree with you there, but here in the UK where it's pretty shit weather for about 8 months of the year areas get dirty very quickly. SH will keep the area clear of algae for longer but general dirt can build up pretty quick especially over winter. SH here is around £30 per 20l drum or around $40. You can get it cheaper of you can find a distributor but they a few and far between, what gets you too is the shipping cost as it's a hazardous liquid. Also here customers know that the area gets dirty again quickly so unless it ingrained dirt or has an algae issue they just don't want to pay the extra for an SH clean.

      Hi Phil. If your not getting the full benefit out of your SC, bypass the gun, [keep it on the handle] & use a ball valve. It takes the elbow within the gun out of the equation. You get an unimpeded flow, & check to make sure the nozzles are sized right. Your running 250 @ 21, & I run 200 @ 30LPM. I made a 4 bar arm, 610 mm wide, 25025 nozzles, & its ducks nuts. Admittedly, it wont remove weeds out of deep paving joints, but then, no S/C will. That's where the turbo comes in. Just seems to me, that your making it harder than it needs to be. Just my opinion.
