Hi everyone, we see there is a lot of discussion regarding the top to bottom washing of this truck. When washing a vehicle using conventional methods you firstly apply soap, wash using a sponge or a broom and then rinse off with water from the top to the bottom. Touchless washing is a bit different. Soap is applied through a high pressure foamer and then high pressure water is used as a “sponge or a broom". The water is worked back into fresh soap, either from the bottom to the top or backwards in the case of trucks and trailers etc. In this way, the soap is used more efficiently. (If you wash from the top down, you would simply wash the soap off the vehicle which defeats the purpose). Then rinse from the top down to finish the cleaning process.
It's better to just rinse from top to bottom first, then apply soap, and then rinse from top to bottom again. You waste less water, time, and money doing it this way
I think the chemical of the soap needs a time to react on the surface so thats why he starts from the bottom to the top. Then rinse from the bottom first so that the soap get enough time at the top to react effectively.
As a semi pro, I get the bottom to top thing and also get that so much has been cut out but the back of the unit and back of the 5th wheel pin block on trailer had been missed on Snow foam and first initial rinse, meaning irrelevant of futher work it was never cleaned properly to start with and is one reason I now clean my own truck rather than pay for a "professional" amateur to mess it up. I can take an extra 2 hours knowing I don't miss a square inch on my truck at 1/3rd of the price to my boss.

As a former supervisor and trainer at Blue Beacon, a couple of things to note: His spray distance when washing is a little far, especially when washing the tires. He's not hitting his front and rear angles well. It's best to physically be next to the truck so those angles are much tighter. When washing the top of the trailer, he's not lifting his arm. This causes an improper wash angle on the top (the bottom edge of the spray is much closer than the top). Lifting your arm helps that spray to be nice and even. Of course, the wash bottom-to-top is cringey as well. Soap application was very good besides the issues with the angles. Soap product seems to work very well.

Oh dear me, this comment section is toxic. Okay, pay attention to fully capitalized words as they're important. I'll only make one attempt at this, here goes: When you do a regular wash, as in with a bucket and sponge/wash mitt, you would do top to bottom. Yes that is correct. BUT! A touchless wash, is done bottom to top. Let me explain why and do try to understand this before you start typing. What a car soap does generally is to LIFT dirt off the surface and ENCAPSULATE as much as it can. The soap is also designed to easily ATTACH itself to water. So when you spray that snow foam onto the vehicle's surface... the soap will try to lift the dirt and encapsulate it (grab onto it). So what happens when you wash top to bottom? As you rinse from the top: dirt, soap, and water will start FLOWING down. This flowing water will then grab the soap down with it. Does this pull the dirt the soap was holding on to? NO. Why? The pull of the water on the soap is stronger than the soap's grab on the dirt. And the dirt is stuck to the vehicle surface STRONGER than the soap's PULL. This is where the pressure washer comes in handy. The strength of water will knock the dirt that has been loosen up by the soap and thus clearing it off the vehicle's surface. You want the soap to still be there lifting and encapsulating the dirt when you knock it with the pressured water. Because a flowing water WILL NOT do the trick. Hence, bottom to top.
I work at blue beacon (a truck wash) and this just hurt the watch. He pretty much just washed it backwards than how you are supposed to. All that dirt is just falling back down to where he cleaned already
