Everybody who does this type of job knows that when you start pressure washing, you tend to start from the top and move towards the bottom. If you start from the bottom then all the dirt from the top is gonna cover the clean areas again which does require, as in your video to wash a surface twice or even 3 times. Point is, you have to use as much as less water as possible and still do an amazing job.
I thought it was sensible logic to wash top to bottom, and use a hydraulic ladder to wash the roof and top section of the sides. I've never washed a big truck before, but figure it doesn't take a degree to do it.
I also love how much name-calling and hatred there is over "top to bottom" "bottom to top" Who cares. Do it the way you want. I wash my car with peanut butter. Now you can all come together and attack me....I'm a unifier. LMAO

Most important is to be methodical when rinsing. If you miss a spot it will show when it dries. But as mentioned, if you rinse thoroughly and methodically the result is amazing. I haven't hand washed our family car since last summer. A foam cannon, a pressure washer and the right kind of foam soap is all it takes. Cheers!

It leaves a thin dirt coat no matter what soap I use. Unfortunately you have to hand wash your car after you've pre-foamed and rinsed it, if you don't have a pressure washer with pre-heated water. But you can apply a coat of your hand wash soap with your foam gun. It's both fun and quicker than applying the soap from a bucket by hand. With the car pre washed you don't need the two bucket method.
washing large machines, buildings etc better to wash bottom to top then final rinse top to bottom. prevents streaks and large build up of dirt at the bottom because you would be washing dirt onto dirt. When ever you see large items being washed you will always see it being done bottom to top.

Wouldn't it be smarter to spray top - bottom when using the jet washer? Sorry for being picky but it makes more sense than having to re spray over bits you've cleared off holding the dirt. Work smarter saves working harder I always got taught.

I remember when I would wash cement tankers I would spray an acid on them that would foam when in contact with dirt. It was corrosive as well and it would eat through your clothes lol it was pretty strong stuff. When they were rinsing the foam off, they did it backwards. It's best to go from top to bottom, not bottom to top ... you work harder that way

Probably because if you rince from bottom to top the product will stay on longer instead of being diluted. But that's just my opinion.

The entire truck seems to have been at least partly washed from the bottom up. I dont get it either.
AMG-ADVENTURES C63 the longer the soap sits the less affective it is wheels are almost always the dirtiest part so the stronger the soap is the easier it is to clean
Dirtiest part first, same with car detailing although they usually won't foam the rest before finishing the wheels.
It’s all about how it looks when it dries.. anything looks clean when it’s still wet. And yes I detailed cars for 5 years.
Ahh, takes me back to my Apprentice days for Iveco. Man, tractor units get shitty. And, for the people wondering, they do it bottom to top because the underneath needs to be pristine if its for MOT in the UK and the grease etc underneath is so caked, you have to get it first

Mastbroonx The proper distance is determined by the amount of “High Pressure”. Did you read somewhere how many bar their washer puts out? If not, how can you judge about their washing distance?

You always work from the bottom up, it prevents the dirt and gunk from drying to fast and leaving streaks. Same for power washing houses.
