    2000 ,yeah 👏👏👏 Congratulations M Daddy joined the CCC to support his mother and 3 bothers ,he was sent to the state of Washington. He was born in a cabin very close to where the AT crossed Sam’s Gap ,NC/ Tn state line ,his mother signed papers that lied about his age for him to join.He believed in hard work and did well in life .I love that there is something to honor those who work to improve our country.and to give jobs to those who had no way of making a living. KEEP HEADING NORTH,you are doing GREAT 🍃🌿

      I think the trail has gotten longer because of re-routes. That would be an interesting question to research! Thanks again!!

    Keep charging Bluegrass!! Love watching your channel! you let your camera do most of the “talking”! Some think they have to talk all the time when it’s the scenery that does the talking!

    Detail and me met Kilo at Poplar Ridge Lean-to.. That was the last Lean-to Geraldine Largay Stayed at.. Did you see her photo there? She got off trail and never made it back! That was 2013 She was located in October 2015! That was a very tragic story..
    Sugarloaf and the Crockers are next... That decent is very tough!
    Keep pushing towards Stratton.. The Bigelow's are next on the list.. It was very foggy and windy when we crossed that section! We slack packed it...That was a bad day on trail!!!
    Keep pushing North!!

      I did not stay at that lean to but heard about the tragic story! I knew we were close to the area where she wandered off. Thanks for sharing your info. We hiked the stretch today where you covered 37 miles! That was a crazy tough stretch to do 37. You’re a beast!

    It is entirely possible that I have missed something (although not too likely) but I don’t hear you guys talking about the stars or the moon so much. I realize your high altitude walks are in the daytime typically and your shelters and campgrounds are going to be among the trees, but any ‘oooh’s and ‘aahhhh’s’ on that front?
    How do you know when the moon has had enough to eat?
    When it’s full !!!!🤪
    I suspect you are so good at sleeping you can do it with your eyes closed !!!
    2000 🎉🎉🎉

      I had an amazing star gazing session on top of Old Blue Mountain. We camped on the summit. The wind had oicked up and I had my socks hanging to dry in a bush. I got up to retrieve them and the sky was covered in stars! ✨✨✨🌟🌟🌟

      @@BluegrassonTrail You don’t talk about campfires either. Do you ever do that?

    • @BluegrassonTrail
      @BluegrassonTrail  2 месяца назад

      We have only had a handful of fires. I would say mostly because water is hard to come by to make sure they are out and we are usually very tired by the time the day is over. The ones we have had are either to deter bugs or stay warm. Great question! Thank you.
