Tavolini ultimately shut down in December 2011. The location is now occupied by a new restaurant called Bryac Restaurant and Raw Bar, which focuses on seafood and has received positive reviews.

No "I hate my job and all my coworkers" people would take the risk and actions he did, as in, being up-front and honest about the serious issues he's observed/been subject to.

"Your son, not mine". That alone would have been grounds for divorce were it me. He acts like an emotionally immature, insensitive, abusive, inhumane, irresponsible, lazy, controlling bastard. Not a business owner, husband, step parent, boss, or partner. Neither one of them are taking any responsibility for the situation they are in or the state of the restaurant. It blows my mind when Owners/ bosses micro manage theirs staff when they refuse to get stuck in themselves. Even with their attitudes and behavior her children and their staff truly look like they are busting their buts. They wonder why the kids and staff don't respect them. 🤔 Perhaps it's because you have to treat others with respect and empathy if you'd like it yourself. I seriously can't believe the ordered meals, then his in their car, made staff deliver it, have zero issue abandoning their staff while they b*tch, moan, and whine eating in the SUV. Pulling staff away to expedite your food order distracting them from preparing paying customers meals and affecting customer service in order to service their demands is nuts. Did she seriously holler at her son out of the car window to "bring me a fork!". The fact that they did this during a packed dinner service( as word got out Gordon was there), basically spitting in Gordon's face as he traveled there to assist them like they requested is crazy! The kitchen and wait staff are slammed, Gordon is doing a dinner service observation to help figure out what procedures, quality, hygiene, food safety, service, and consistency problems need to be corrected. And those two lazy, dramatic, Bozos can't even be bothered to stay in the restaurant and pretend they are working. I'd have been livid, told them to figure it out themselves, and left. What a waste. Pathetic!

I mean, the reason he’s there is never because the food is amazing, so they know in advance they’re gonna eat like shit, probably wait a while because service/kitchen is slow and/or sucks, etc.
Why in the fuck would people go there besides morbid curiosity and a chance to see Gordon lol

Oh people are perfectly willing to help criticize the food in the first night and they are also equally willing to praise it after Gordon's changes. If I had paid $21 for their lame dish in the past, I'd be willing to take part in the restoration process. Sometimes you just can't polish a turd and Gordon's efforts are lost on the owners. Sometimes? I stand corrected: MOST times. It's usually too little, too late.
