its just unfortunate that the episodes are re-uploads. Small channels get closed for doing re-uploads of their old content but big channels get away with it.

      so yeah, good for him

    • @idiot_RC
      @idiot_RC 2 часа назад

@@sixslinger9951 the local community never accepted the new menu, more specifically, the price of the new menu. Unfortunately, it was one of those instances where the revamp priced the restaurant out of the area it was in...the damage to the restaurants reputation was hard to overcome, and the locals who had still frequented the place whined about the prices, so it wasn't getting any traction with the new menu and higher operating costs. Mike runs an extremely successful high-end catering company now called Blue Basil. I think his true passion was on the grill, not running a restaurant, and the catering company allows him to focus more on what he loves to do.

To all intents and purposes, Mike was still in a form of grief for his father. It is sad, but not that unusual, to see a second generation struggle after the loss of the patriarch or matriarch of a business. It is very sad to see someone as capable as Mike go downhill in this way. More so for his family of course. Gordon Ramsey's intervention (by invitation) is the kind of thing that people like Mike absolutely need to to help to move forward. In a perverse way, Mike's lack of caring is ironically a display of immense love for his late father.

If you think that is "dealing with a lot", SMH. I'm sure that was difficult, but I've been through more (by the time I was 35), than most people go through their entire lives. And I'm sick of it! Not things I caused either.
      - parents divorced
      - 3 of us living under the poverty line for two people.
      - house burned down
      - step father and parents died by the time I was 25. (Step-father at 17, mother at 21 yrs old, father when I was 25)
      - severe car accident by a drunk driver at 19 that left me in constant pain via 2 slipped discs in my neck (and I couldn't even sue because of the strict version of no-fault insurance in Ontario, repealed months later, but not retroactive).
      - All grandparents dead.
      - inheritance stolen by family members multiple times (at least 3 times; different family members)
      - kidney failure (starting around age 28)
      - my brother (6 years older) having a major stroke; now in an old age home
      - my younger half brothers addicted to drugs, in & out of jail.
      - I was attacked by a new psycho neighbor, who BROKE in my door (recorded on the 911 call), yet I was arrested for defending my life with a small pocket knife, because the cop was too lazy to do his job, and police in Canada routinely abuse their arresting power to teach people a lesson (not using weapons, even though it was NOT ILLEGAL)- TYPICAL Canada! The stress of the case shredded what remained of my kidneys (what I was TRYING to protect), so I'm now on dialysis (at 48 yrs old!). That lazy, garbage cop, Constable Ian Clarke, Port Elgin, Ontario, Canada, didn't do ANY investigating. Just believed the liar. Didn't even ask me what happened, and REFUSED to look at the evidence. The charges were dropped 2 years later - won't bring my kidneys back!!!!!
And more and more and more! I wonder why I haven't killed myself yet.

I’m a seasoned line cook with ambitions of being a chef, I watch these a lot and it helps to keep my focus on what I’m doing, I’d kill to see him cook in person. I truly believe and know he’s a good person who is down to earth and kind, he works his ass off, and isn’t above any work in the kitchen . One thing I always notice in these shows is the respect any decent cook or chef has for him, I watched one where and Hispanic cook in LA quits on a busy night, drives away and then turns around because he didn’t want to come off as a quitter in front of Ramsay, he didn’t vibe with the owner, and was fed up, but he didn’t want to be that guy to Ramsay. He’s a great chef and I hope to meet him one day. I will be a chef one day and I appreciate under one I respect and one that treats me right. It’s real work, but it’s a work of passion and dedication. Any one can learn the art if their heart is in it

These are always the best episodes of any Ramsey show. This isn't a case of Ego, Denial, Arrogance, Greed, this is Pain. What GR had to deal with in his childhood with his own father has made him an incredible mentor for families dealing with issues like Mike and his daughters are here. The way he looks Mike in his eyes as he tries to walk him from the edge, and the way he talks to his daughters about needing to save him and show him he is loved, you can see that isn't just for TV.
