- A low effort, not technical at all "comparison" of the Coho 55 qt cooler purchased from Costco, to the Yeti 65 qt. Mostly a video of me opening the lid a bunch of times and poking the ice. The cooler test was probably ruined by adding 10lbs fresh ice along the way as a precaution while we were in the town (we started with 20lb and were adding additional room temp beers constantly), but it performed really well. Conditions were mild for Death Valley in spring, and as you'll see a quick peak of, it even snowed on our first day! After that temps were mid 70s. I'm really happy with my purchase. I paid $139+ tax online, less than half of the Yeti, and ordered the basket separately form the manufacturer. Hope you enjoy!
My coho keeps ice way longer than my yeti. When I go to the mountains I have to decompress my coho because the gasket is so air tight. Definitely get a coho not a yeti.
that is awesome! thank you for sharing. I'm super happy with it!
Thank you! (: your review led me to purchase this cooler at Costco today. Your trip looked like a blast!
So glad! I just took it for a weekend away and it kept ice for 5 days, even with reloading and people forgetting to latch it. I’m so impressed! Enjoy!!
I love when stupendously overpriced brands get shown up by something 1/4th the price!
But agreed, the handles are brutal. I think I'm going to go with the Lifetime 55qt
Hows the yeti holding up? Have you experienced any warping on the lid?
Thanks for posting this. Gonna try to pick one up today.
I just bought a coho but this is a bizarre “comparison” . There is no consistency to anything you did
Sure but to me this is the only type of comparison that matters to me. It’s it being practically used.
Wich one you recommend???
Now that summer is almost over, do you have any additional comments about the cooler? I just bought one today and your review is one of the only ones online! Thanks you for posting. Dont listen to all the haters lol.
My only gripe remains with the handles being hard to pull. Otherwise I really love it! I took it out again for some hot 4th of July camping and it was great. For the price, I think it is hard to beat. I do the yeti style "pre-cooling" beforehand so I'm not sure how much that helps.
Funny a lot of the Yetians getting offended over the inconsistency of the comparisons. Fact of the matter the Coho (cheaper cooler) does the job as well. It just comes down to how much you want to pay and if you want to pay a couple extra hundred bucks for the brand.
Are the baskets the same size? Can you use the yeti basket on the coho ?
Good to know! Either of those coolers are overkill for me. I have the thinner, lighter, and cheaper coolers (Coleman, Engel). That said, if I start taking longer trips, I might add a Coho to the three I already have.
Great video!
Sweet Rebel!
How to get basket
1:37 lmao
HAHAHAHAHAHAA thank you for the laugh Cody
almost like a twin with different color..LOL
Excelete
Glizzy water 🥴
There is no comparison here... Science must not have been your strong subject lol
you're right, it's a sad "comparison". I just put this up because at the time I bought the cooler there were no videos of the Coho at all. that may have changed by now.
