Words have power my friend. To me it's sad that that he walked away from his faith. He was so joyful and lightened when he wrote this songs. I was in a concert of him in Jerusalem in 2015, it was sad. Still love him and hope best for him.
Such a beautiful video. The smile Matisyahu has throughout and the musician’s honest reaction when he realizes it’s him. Just seeing the way they’re vibin throughout and playing off each other. As a performer enjoying having an audience to his craft, not realizing it’s the creator, thanking him for participating, and then seeing the switch to fan coming to realize who it was singing along. Beautiful!
mrnijacatzz Yeah I guess it is made up, not like it can be fact checked. It probably wouldnt show any results if you googled Clint Kekoa Alama. Not like it was pretty big news a few month back. And Matisyahu definitely didnt bring it up when he invited the kid to the LA concert on a two day pass from jail. Totally made up.

i lived in park city, utah for 4 years. matisyahu played at park city live every year. by chance, he ended up coming to my house one night after a show my first year there. from then on, he’d pop in every year. he never told anybody who he was unless they kinda knew. he is genuinely the most gentle, wholesome soul i’ve ever met. i haven’t seen or spoke to him in about 8 years, but he’s a genuinely incredible human.
I feel like it really shows just how much the lyrics meant to Matisyahu that he even had to sing along in a humble way not to outshine the busker. I adore Matisyahu what an absolute delight to have sang this song with. I've seen him do several acoustic sets but this must have been amazing. Bless up🙏🏼☝🏼

I still come back here often, truly one of the greatest moments to be brought and shared to youtube, unfortunately I can't say things are the greatest right now, peace and love to all, be safe out there, everyone everywhere. ❤
This is my ‘go to RUclips clip’-always makes me smile. All the feel good vibes
Me too....
I always find my way back here every year
Me too!!
Mine too.
Same.
that was so cool. you have to admit he doesn't look the same as he did 6 years ago when we all first heard of matisyahu.
I'm listening matisyahu more than 10 years!10 years ago he was not as in 2010 :)
🖖🏻👍🏻
I first saw Matis back in 2007 at 311's Summer Unity Tour. Back when he still looked like a Rabbi!
I
I was waiting for him to show up
6 years??? try 11
An he doesn’t even realize he’s singing with the man himself🤗
I think thats why it was so organic sounding. No pressure at all, just did there thing
Cuz he got rid of his jewish look lol
That was awesome. Matisyahu is so freakin humble tho. Pure Love.
The algorithm steals so much of my life from me, but every now and then it gifts me reminders of videos like this, that I need from time to time to feel a bit better about things.
Wouldn’t that be hilarious if the guy stopped playing for a sec and was “Sir, please. Let me do my thing, k?”
I was just thinking that lmao
"BACK OFF HOBO!"
Thought the same thing hahahaha
@jjmah7 that would be funny but you can tell he was pausing to still show respect that it was his song to sing and not the other way around.
@@frankhernandez6524 That's true. You could tell he was using some restraint, letting the guy do most of it.
It’s Hawaii, they wouldn’t do that
Even in 2021 this song can make my heart smile.
Four years on, still one of the most wholesome videos. He had no idea, and Matisyahu was sooo cool about it! I feel like this song is more relevant than ever with everything that's going on. Much Love All!
This is still my favorite video, so many years later. Two people singing a song and becoming friends, plus a great coincidence.
You know how much that song means to Matisyahu when he took 40 seconds to take a sip from that cup ❤️❤️❤️ he was absolutely into it...that guitar guy touched his soul...nice performance
Putting out that message and seeing how it's spread in the wild clearly makes him a proud Papa, and he should be.
Not a fucking guitar
That is not a guitar.
I know you're just trying to argue just to argue, but a ukulele is indeed a type of guitar.
Back for more in 2023. Absolutely love it when Matt steps in and just goes with harmonic fills to make it perfect!
“Yeah, me and my girl?”
Without batting an eyelid. This is a good guy
He's a convicted felon serving 5 years in prison btw. lol
yeah, just before he said parking lot pimping, then "yeah, me and my girl" , um no I don't think so. he was trying to pimp on girls and then said he will bring his girl. funny though
@@jasonscorner8747 I don’t think that’s what he meant.. he said I’m gonna go to the parking lot and “pimp it”.That could mean almost anything
@@rikky383 I've heard people use it in much the same way you would use "chillin" it's just one of those things where words evolve with time. Does seem a little off-putting though 😂
Beautiful!
Dudes so humble, you could see he was flattered by him playing his song.
In a cold, cruel world, this really took the chill off and warmed my heart.
GraceFaded why is this a cold cruel world
Same, I love Matisyahu! 🙏🏼🎄
@GraceFaded boto is the go to g
That young guy has a cool vibe. So Hawaiian and chill.
big Mac Right now hes chill, but hes a felon with anger issues apparently
I like to make stuff up too.
mrnijacatzz Yeah I guess it is made up, not like it can be fact checked. It probably wouldnt show any results if you googled Clint Kekoa Alama. Not like it was pretty big news a few month back. And Matisyahu definitely didnt bring it up when he invited the kid to the LA concert on a two day pass from jail. Totally made up.
Not much detail here, but apparently there's some truth to it. Hope he gets his life on track. I appreciate his sound. www.staradvertiser.com/2016/08/15/breaking-news/maui-ukulele-player-back-in-jail-after-matisyahu-show-in-l-a/
IDiggPattyMayonnaise thanks, Cletus
Best video on RUclips. Whenever it's a tough day this song always brings a smile to my face. The vibe the connection between them and the sound is what music and life is all about
brb crying. I met Matisyahu once at a Shabbat dinner at my university. He was the guest Rabbi for the night and meeting such a wonderful beautiful soul meant so much to me.
Went to his Channukah gig back in 06. He came out into the crowd.
Who is listening to this awesome video in 2020?
I'm back for more. I can't help it.
Yeet, one day.
I am listening to it in 2020.
Juanchi B This guy is🤙🏻
At least once a month for the rest of my life prolly lol
Sang in a coffee shop, blessed the writer, unknown, guest listed, then sang on the man's stage.. this is a great story.
In the world that we live in today; this song resonates even more! Respect!
I can't get enough of this video!! I must have seen it a thousand times!! You guys (Matisyahu, Kekoa and Stu) rock! 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
Me too! This video makes me happy for some reason I seem to be addicted
Tammy Hesler same here!! And I don't normally listen to reggae but, this video just makes me want to sing along!! Peace and love! :)
Little Susie SAME!!
Same here LOL
same here
It must be such a trip to be on vacation and walk into a coffee shop and hear someone playing your song. He's awesome for doing this!
Steve Rivera he was doing a show there later that night. The kid already had plans to go
this video is making me feel a lot better and i didnt even know that i needed to feel better.
Clint is currently in jail (5 years for violating probation). Sorry... www.mauinews.com/news/local-news/2016/12/maui-musician-given-hollywood-break-is-headed-back-to-prison/
Stay in school. And if you want to go to law school, don't, unless it's a top ten program. Even then, it's not always worth it. Some of us would rather be playing coffee shops.
And please enlighten us, what do you do for a living?
So, what I just read in this article, is that he has substance abuse problems, if you think putting someone in prison for that, instead of rehab. You're a special kind of stupid.
Themistocles Poor chap looks like he's being put through the ringer. I think we can all agree the justice system is far from perfect and as such a sentence doesn't mean much as to whether he's a good guy or not.
One of the best songs ever written. This video never gets old for me.
Agreed it still makes me smile
“You look diffrent”..
“Yeah I shaved”
😂😂😂😂
lol
“You look a little bit different ‘Kid’ “ 😂haha
jhon smith why do people like you always have to correct someone ? Just let the man be.
@@TheGuitarplaya13 I took it that he was just helping, showing that it's even funnier still. He reminded me of it and I laughed.
That shet made me laugh xD
RUclips's algorithm paying off again. This genuinely happy interaction is what life is about.
It is❣❣❣
It really isn't, but it's a nice break from the crap!
No matter how many times I see this video it brings me joy and a smile to my face. I find myself regularly coming back to watch it again and again. Thank you to who posted it.
Same
i lived in park city, utah for 4 years. matisyahu played at park city live every year.
by chance, he ended up coming to my house one night after a show my first year there. from then on, he’d pop in every year.
he never told anybody who he was unless they kinda knew. he is genuinely the most gentle, wholesome soul i’ve ever met. i haven’t seen or spoke to him in about 8 years, but he’s a genuinely incredible human.
I'm pretty sure that this is THE ONLY RUclips video that I've ever smiled all the way through as I watched it...Thank You for sharing this!
I feel like it really shows just how much the lyrics meant to Matisyahu that he even had to sing along in a humble way not to outshine the busker. I adore Matisyahu what an absolute delight to have sang this song with. I've seen him do several acoustic sets but this must have been amazing. Bless up🙏🏼☝🏼
The lyrics probably mean a lot to him, but the song was actually written by bruno mars. Crazy, right.
This video is amazing because you can see him harmonize with the dudes vocals and not overdo him brilliant talent from both
This gives me goosebumps every time I watch this video. I love Matisyahu, and I'm so grateful he's taken us along on the journey of his life, expressed so beautifully through his music. He is a national treasure.
I’ve probably seen this video over 30 times over the past year, and EVERY SINGLE TIME I watch it, it brings a huge smile to my face. Man this is something special. So glad it was caught on camera.
I come to this all the time. I've heard him live and this is still the best Version so chilled and relaxed love it.
I never really liked this dudes music much. But saw this video and then learned more about him and now I find myself searching to watch this moment probably every month or so. Such a great moment.
But the song is REALLY good.
This song absolutely speaks to my spirit!! And these type of moments just makes my heart smile hard af lol❤️💪🏽😎
Can't help but smile throughout the video!! So amazing to watch every time!!
I had to come here to smile! I just watched a video where a feminist told a guy “if you don’t have ovaries you can’t talk about them!” And proceeded to be toxic.
I've watched this like 30 times. Great moment. Didn't know who Matisyahu was before, but been listening to a lot of his music the past few days. Great stuff.
2019: still come back and watch this on occasion. Just such a magical moment.
I still come back to watch this absolutely wonderful video. Some might say it was fate. They both sing beautifully 😊😊
One of my favorite videos on the internet. Anytime I'm having a bad day I play this video and it immediately puts a smile on my face. Matisyahu is such a humble guy with a huge heart. Bless your soul.
Was nice how he played backup .Buddy was just killing it . Sang just as good as the o.g. He payed him due respect.
I suffer from severe PTSD and am so incredibly happy I found this on RUclips. I watch this video now and it helps. I can't believe how much this helps. Thank you.
Same here. Hang in there brother.
Me too brothers, same same. 💚
Same here man. I got PTSD too. I hope you're keeping up.
This video will always hit you right in the feels no matter this situation..
Randomly popped into my recommended videos and I had no idea who either of these dudes were. Long story short, I’ve watched this probably 20 times. In a time like we are in right now with so much hatred and negativity, this is exactly what I didn’t know I needed. Then I watched the video of Matisyahu sharing the stage with this guy at his concert. Mad respect for the love of music and how it brings people together.
Such a PURE moment in time... when the stars aligned for this young talented man.
Why would anyone thumbs down this kind of love.. you are sad inside. ☝️❤️
After all these years- this video/ song still brings me too tears ❤
I come back to this every once in a while when I feel down and this really lifts me up!!
He actually helped this kid out brought him to sing with him at show and everything bad ass! 🤘
Kyle Carter is there a video
Choaf Takuya yes there is. I’ll put a link under this
This is bad ass
Oh hell yeah!
The kid was wanted by the cops
I like at the end hes like you want on the guest list and the ukelele guy is like... and my girl? Boss move lol
He wasn’t trying to hear that if his girl didn’t get to go lol
@@spinblackcircles No maybe because he wanted his girl to go with him? "Hey I sang with someone famous and we are on the guest list" is a good surprise
@@joshpd8090 I think you misinterpreted the comment you replied to...
@@SylasTheGreat yea idk why I replied to him like that ngl
One of my favorite videos of all time not just of a musician but in general. The wholesomeness is so awesome
