Love your videos , one quick question, is it ok to put the polyester on top of epoxy ? I was always under the impression that polyester doesn’t stick to well to epoxy ??? Anyway it’s great to see you back on the boat again ,😊

Hi, thanks for the question. So from my understanding.... and now application, its common and recommended for this specific product "Slick Sand" polyester primer surfacer to be applied over an epoxy coat. I too, thought of that rule before considering it. What I learned and was suggested... was that "SlickSands" chemical make up and bonding capabilities are pretty crazy. Of coarse you need to sand and prep/degrease the epoxy coat for a really good mechanical bond. I can say that after spraying, it has bonded and hardened perfectly. I think the polyester over epoxy rule applies best when laminating glass. And when no peelply has been used. I have my part 2 video coming out soon. Ill go over bonding and spraying in it. Much appreciated for watching.

absolutely right. All the prep almost broke me. Lol. But it didn't. More videos coming soon.
