    Mr Mike is absolutely right about the 256/278 hulls being the most popular.. I love my 94 256 center console!! I've fished my Dusky in seas that 34' Venture and Jupiter boats turned back from! Here in Abaco, Bahamas.. the Dusky hulls are the most popular rental boats as well.. even more popular than the locally built Albury Brothers boats!! Thank You for sharing this tour.. I've been wanting to visit Dusky Marine for awhile now and it never seems to work out on my trips to Florida.. hopefully this year!?!

    Great video bro. Lots of good info. We can always use more info while we build our dream boats. I've went through the Regal factory up but Tampa and it was great. May want to add that to your list. Great folks. 👍👍👍👍👍🍻🍻 Thanks for taking us along.

      Exactly Fred! I got so many ideas for my build while looking at how they do stuff at the factory! I’d love to check out regal! Maybe I’ll talk to them at the boat show. Thanks for watching brother 🤙🛥️🌊

    Really Really great video buddy speaking of pricing i remember back in the early 60's a boat company calked National had a chop gun 16 ft skiff with a 35 horse power Chrysler and trailer for $995.00
    Wasn't much of a boat but remember fiberglass was still fairly new.

    • @perfectfitboating
      @perfectfitboating  18 дней назад

      Wow Dave! A whole boat,motor and trailer for under $1k 😳? Insane! 🤙🌊🛥️

    Great channel! Question, i am rehabing an older skiff and am getting ready to glass. I am adding 4 hatches. Is it better to cut the hatch access before or after fiberglassing? If after i was planning on adding some chop strand over the exposed edge of the raw ply of the hatch opening. I am using polyester resin. Thanks for any advice!

    • @perfectfitboating
      @perfectfitboating  17 дней назад +1

      If you’re adding these hatches to like a floor let’s say, I’d lay down the floor first and then cut the hatches so nothing is offset. If the piece you’re cutting is already in place then it doesn’t really matter if you glass before or after. Either way you’ll have to glass the edges you cut. I hope I understood your question. Thanks for commenting🤙🛥️🌊

      I’ve only seen one at a show and I reviewed it a few videos back. I believe it what a 22. A little funky with the Livewell, but overall seemed ok. I don’t know much about aluminum boats though. 🤙🌊🛥️

    Dude, I would love to know more about that 16 foot tri-hull. I’m rebuilding a Happy Traveler tri-hull right now that looks identical to that. I just got the transom put in and have been trying to figure out forever if I it had 3 stringers or just the center (I got the hull already completely stripped)

      There's nothing wrong with chopped glass. It provides a smooth outer surface without print through and better adhesion to the structural glass underneath. Nearly everyone who builds a quality boat foams and glasses the fuel tanks in. Don't criticize if you don't know what you're talking about.
