What a marvelous evolution. The primer over the entire boat has unified all the bow, stern and doghouse enhancements into single, very cool custom boat! Well done. Can’t wait to see the interior with its primer coat applied.
I was interested to see what the new bow would look like in one color. Totally works. Caught myself smiling when the boat was fully primed, you can see her true figure. 🙌
What a transformation! She's becoming a real beauty. I remember some of the angst over how the bowsprit would look but after painting it looks great. The doghouse looks superb.
What a moment for you. And just like that, all of those components and details you've designed and built...are connected with a first coat of paint...into a reincarnated Duracell. Wow. Congratulations on this huge milestone.
You are so lucky that your boat is equipped with a nuclear power plant ie your mother, the woman has an insane work ethic, I think you should market a soft toy just like her so we can all buy one and give her a huge cuddle. The outcome was fantastic, totally professional as has every other aspect of this remodelling mission.
Your mom is an absolute legend. The silent star of the show. Great videos. This project makes me want to travel into the future. Can’t wait to see Duracell float. 👍🏼👍🏼 (btw, keep that name 😃)
The primer is such a milestone, a consolidation of so many alterations. Very pleased for you that it is looking good. Also, what a great team, from Matt's Mum's huge dedication, to Janneke's work behind the scenes, Matts skills, the inspector's powerful whiskers, and all the contributions by friends, Small's fairers, and the sponsors.
The fact that you are not only continuing to do this, but have increased your capabilities while dealing with a baby. Dude you both (and mom too) deserve all the respect in the world!
I suppose it is a unanimous understanding by now that Judy is a freaking ninja warrior, and no wonder she has a legion of adoring fans. I hope all the filling and glazing from the sanding crew was to your liking, since the footage didn't make it clear, regardless, it was most amazing for us, the audience, to see the entire exterior of the boat primed. What a momentous episode!
I have so many thoughts on this video. First and foremost, WOW. Just Wow! So amazing of a difference, and such a fine job of applying the paint. The boat looks much more real, if you will forgive that usage. Second, I'd like to change my vote for the name... Because, Jeez, Matt, your Mom! I think you should consider naming it after her. Very traditional, and very appropriate. Talk about supportive- rolling up the sleeves and putting in countless hours of hard labor. So, yeah, think on that. Another great video and thanks
Amazing Matt, she looks absolutely brilliant. This is certainly a milestone and a obvious achievement which indicates your ability and dedication in action as before just positive professionalism at a pinnacle point. A Huge shout out to all participant's! Job well done.
So so cool to see it in one color now. To see all your hard work transforming Duracell. Looks awesome you guys. Matt your mom is an extraordinary jewel ! And your vision for Duracell is incredible. Thanks for sharing this journey with us.
After all this time it’s great to be able to finally see the shape of the boat. It was a bit unclear before with all the different colour patches but now it’s great to see how the front and rear have changed shape as well as seeing the dog house in all it’s glory.
I think you are doing a great job and I’m sure you are grateful to your wife and your mom for helping you out and videoing the whole operation. Great job guys.
Congratulations guys. I’ve been watching since episode 1 and it’s amazing to see the boats transformation and how you’ve transformed to being much more comfortable in front of the camera. Awesome stuff
Must have been the most satisfying two days so far. The transition is stunning, you can really get a feel for how beautiful her lines were going to be.
Duracell Gold with a Copper Top along with a copper anti fouling hull would be the most appropriate final choice of colors. As the name of the channel and the boat is what drew us here ! Who knows maybe they will provide you with batteries for life. …..😁👍
Matt and your Mum, Duracell is looking simply stunning in the new primer. Mike Plant would no doubt be delighted if he could see how you are bringing his creation back to life. Best wishes to the entire team. Malcolm (UK)
Gotta keep those sponsors happy. How stoked do you think AwlGrip is knowing this boat is going to be turning heads and stirring conversations wherever it goes for years.
I know that white tends to make objects look bigger but man ! Duracell sure is beast ! This episode reminded me of the reveal of a new car after its been seen in its camouflage for weeks/month We can at long last get a good look at the shape of the boat, so cool !
The shots from the bow after the paint look bad ass. What an absolute rocket ship of a yacht. It looks like 20 knots sitting still. For color scheme I would take a lot of risk and no short cuts. Personal preference would be red white and blue. Other option, lots of longitudinal black and gold. Chances of blending in anywhere are small so mind as well embrace the flavor.
First of all, your mother is amazing! The boat looks totally transformed. It all makes sense now. About the colour , all I can offer is the old saying “there are only two colours to paint a boat, white and black and no one in their right mind would paint a boat black” I’m sure what ever colour you choose, it will be stunning. Well done, folks.
Congratulations on achieving such an important milestone. Duracell looks amazing now that she is one colour. She certainly looks a lot larger than before and I love how the stern and the doghouse really stand out. She is going to be a stunning world cruising yacht, capable of taking you wherever you desire. She will be admired by all. Thank you for continuing to share your journey. 👏
I must have misheard Dave, I thought he said that when you traveled to a warmer climate you’d risk bubbling if you thick primed in your cooler weather.
I love how you guys highlighted the spraying of the last bit, the bow. I totally get how momentous that felt, congratulations on a magnificent milestone you all!
OK Matt, Been following your project from the first vid. A feeling of excitment hit hard when you hit that bow with paint. You made it YOURS!!! Well done!!
Without knowing which way you're leaning on the final paint scheme, I think it would be cool if you could preserve the original scooped transom line in whatever paint scheme you land on. Also, if there are any visible variations in the hull-sides faring, where the addition was made, this might help blend the old and the new by emphasizing the original shape with different paint colors. It's amazing how much the boat grew just being one solid color now!
Wether you choose to name your boat after your mom or not, she will live in every molecule of it. After watching this project “I’m” gonna need a ten year vacation.
Matt, you and your entire team, especially including the videographer and Mom have truly produced a stunning ship of dreams together. So pleasing to see yalls floating home come together. Perfect video evidence displayed in the design and workmanship attitude. I really envy the joy of sailing in that crib yall have made. Sweet sweet sweet. Plus I like the idea of the graduated colors of La Paz draping over its shapely curves. There something very special about your Inspector General. I’d say the colors aught to magnify yalls favorite family colors for gentle excitement outside and peace and tranquility on the inside. Cracker Jacks a good color🥹
And the many tweaks and modifications become one. The Bow Sprit looks awesome and her lines look lovely. Clearly you're going to have to add some paw prints somewhere on the boat.
Your Mom is absolutely awesome! What a help!
That boat... Should be named "Mom❤"
Total legend!
Judy is a gem ❤
She is an amazing person, her skill and endurance are something to be admired.
She should have disposable gloves that fit her hands!
That paint crew that fared the boat killed it and you did excellent laying down the primer
You have two of the most amazing women in your life, your wife and mother. You are sooooooo blessed.❤❤❤
What a marvelous evolution. The primer over the entire boat has unified all the bow, stern and doghouse enhancements into single, very cool custom boat! Well done. Can’t wait to see the interior with its primer coat applied.

Looks amazing!!! The bow looks fantastic in the primer, really shows off the shape. Beautiful😘
I’m in my 60s and have been a paint sprayer my whole working life , you done good !!
That’s a BIG job and what an excellent milestone to reach 👏🏼😎
always great to see a boat being painted
Big props to your mom! You wouldn’t be anywhere near this stage without her. She’s just brilliant! 🤩
You are so lucky that your boat is equipped with a nuclear power plant ie your mother, the woman has an insane work ethic, I think you should market a soft toy just like her so we can all buy one and give her a huge cuddle. I’ve been following for a long time and I can say this is the most satisfying video till now!
The boat looks awesome!
Your mum is a legend, hard working woman ❤❤
Matt, your mom is a rock star! Reminds me of my mom, no job too hard or too dirty or too tedious. Just gear up and "let's go!" You are a lucky man.
Man your Mom is awesome! She is a trooper.
Your mom is an absolute legend. The silent star of the show. Great videos. This project makes me want to travel into the future. Can’t wait to see Duracell float. 👍🏼👍🏼 (btw, keep that name 😃)

01:00 the synchronised back and forth of the polythene on the windows makes it look like it is breathing. You are bringing Duracell back to life 😁
If anyone deserves success it’s you guys, and that includes your Mother. Xx
Grandma, you’re the best! What a huge help you are. And that boat is truly beautiful. Can’t wait to see it finished.
Looks great guys! Congratulations!
Mum is a Superstar!!!
Wow! Now you can actually see what a great job they did with the fairing! The back of Duracell looks babybutt smooth!
The fact that you are not only continuing to do this, but have increased your capabilities while dealing with a baby. Dude you both (and mom too) deserve all the respect in the world!
Getting that first coat on is always the best because you can really see its lines for the first time, she's looking good.

Absolutely awesome, following this rebirth with great appreciation.
Congratulations!🥰
Man is it good to Duracell back in one color❤ one step closer to being back in the water where she belongs!
Thank you for saving this glorious boat!🎉🎉

Wow the boat is now becoming a boat, it's looking fantastic guy's. Good job to EVEYONE who is working on it.
That was the most fun I've ever had painting.
good work ;)
Fantastic 🎉 Professional Plan, Prep and Paint. Congratulations to suppliers and crews 😅

Yes can’t help saying again what an amazing mom you have, she’s a blessing to this build.
Big job!
Well done!
Mom better get extended vacations on board with nice meals once complete. 😉👍
And I also hope for some correctly sized glove before it's complete
WOW!! The Boat looks so much bigger now that its all one color!! Beautiful work. 🥰🥰 Im so excited for y'all!
What a difference two days make. And as allways mom is there. Congratulations.
Matt and your Mum, Duracell is looking simply stunning in the new primer. Mike Plant would no doubt be delighted if he could see how you are bringing his creation back to life. Best wishes to the entire team. Malcolm (UK)
Wow!The boat looks awesome. The preparation and dedication of producing a high quality end result is truly evident. This is a great milestone.
Gotta keep those sponsors happy. How stoked do you think AwlGrip is knowing this boat is going to be turning heads and stirring conversations wherever it goes for years.
Looks amazing, I'm loving watching Duracell take shape!
That was intensely satisfying to watch and what a result!! The boat looks amazing 😀. You must all be very proud of getting to this stage.
I know that white tends to make objects look bigger but man ! Duracell sure is beast !
This episode reminded me of the reveal of a new car after its been seen in its camouflage for weeks/month
We can at long last get a good look at the shape of the boat, so cool !
You got this done in secret ---- not letting the " INSPECTOR " know ;)
Thanks again
she was napping. Had she known, she would have brought the priming to a grinding stop.
I love the color she is now! It reminds me of the boat my parents had when I was a kid, we always painted it a creamy white like this.
I do to
4:28 “it’s time to prime”
What a missed opportunity to say “It’s prime time!”
Good job Matt & Mum! That must have been tough going with only one person painting and using a gravity fed gun.
Awesome. That's going to be a speed demon. Wet the floor which will settle the dust while painting.
The new appearance is terrific. What a great motivator.
Here's to milestones.Grats. Hopefully your mom gets to sail to beautiful places with you.
Love you Guys!! ❤

Your sanding crew is to be commended.
New boat feeling awesome and you’ll get that again and again
The fairing job came out great, clean lines. Looks great mate. My favorite channel and boat project
What a transformation. She's looking amazing Matt. You must be so proud of the work you have done.
Bravo to the sanders, magnificent job, a real milestone week in the project, well done everyone.
Congratulations on achieving such an important milestone. Duracell looks amazing now that she is one colour. what a very satisfying transformation
I love how you guys highlighted the spraying of the last bit, the bow. I totally get how momentous that felt, congratulations on a magnificent milestone you all!
Spraying/painting is the most satisfying part 👍 but preparation is the key to it. And that takes long 😩. Looks REALLY good 👍👏
Boat looks amazing and it was only the sacrificial primer!
She looks so amazing in one color! Kind of hard to see the details now though, definitely needs some contrast to show things off.
Fantastic effort from everyone! The boat looks amazing!!!
Telly Tubby paints a boat. Who Knew? Awesome job as ever.
Wow! What a difference. You're doing a great job. Happy for u.
Wow what a difference the primer has made, almost looks finished from the video.
Thanks!
Thanks!!
An emotional as well as practical milestone! I can feel your satisfaction coming thru the video and it's delightful.
OK Matt, Been following your project from the first vid. A feeling of excitment hit hard when you hit that bow with paint. You made it YOURS!!! Well done!!
Looking great. Huge transformation and a step closer. Your mom is awesome.

Wow! The transformation is beautiful! Your Mom is wonderful! Great job!
It's amazing how quickly it's changed, to be extremely magnificent.
Congratulations Matt and Janni, That is looking amazing! Good luck picking the correct color!!
Thanks Jon!
I'm not keen on watching paint dry but it's always nice to watch it being sprayed on thanks.
thanks, Greg. Hope you're well!
holy smokes, duracell is looking good!!! Pretty much ready for the water now!
cant believe we weren't subscribed!!!! watch you guys every week and are a big inspiration for our own.. slightly different build
Wether you choose to name your boat after your mom or not, she will live in every molecule of it.
After watching this project “I’m” gonna need a ten year vacation.
the primer sure adds a refreshing feel to years of hard work, good job.
I also look how the bow and the bow spread looks
What a milestone! Congratulations to the whole team!

It is a huge step! Congratulations it starts looking like your new boat!!
Really starting to look like a boat!
And the many tweaks and modifications become one. The Bow Sprit looks awesome and her lines look lovely.
Clearly you're going to have to add some paw prints somewhere on the boat.
Matt so happy to see your air cooler installed!!!!!
Well done thus far. That bowsprit definitely needs a figure head, maybe that’s where an image of the inspector can go…
