My question for the master machinist / master engine builder is why are the 4.3 V6 platforms often overlooked in terms of performance if they are in fact a 3/4 of a SBC 350? The final port injection models ended in 2012, they came with multi point fuel injection and coil on plugs, evidently GM still thinks its a good platform since they have redeveloped it to have direct injection heads. I'm most interested in the multi port injection models. Can't wait to hear your views on it.

There not overlooked in the marine industry... MerCruiser have been using that platform since Jesus was a boy. This engine goes hand in hand with the sbc vortec engine . Takes alot more force to spin a little prop in relation to the size of boat it is commonly found in I was only month ago going through a pair of 4.3 TBI MerCruisers in a 3200 mustang. There stout engines just like the vortec

My question is I'm getting a rear sump pan for my 351 Cleveland cause I'm putting a heidts mustang 2 front end in it and needs rear sump. Also should I put a second tube to the small front part of the pan to get all the oil to the engine

@@MrDanielSoliz I'm going to get a swap pan from moroso to make it a rear sump. They make them for putting a Cleveland in a late 70s to 80s mustang with the mustang 2 front-end. It has a rack and pinion it that makes it a front steer car

What are your thoughts on this engine configuration. 7mge custom made itbs long tube high rise headers stand alone and progressive direct Port nitrous injection . Thats living in a ms45 Toyota crown deluxe I own with 623 miles on the clock with books. I'm getting bad feedback for people coz I keep chopping into it and modifying everything to be as I want so I'm happy
.. which is torture . Took me a week to just be happy with the sump mods . N here's a tip. Itbs U can get 6 for 100 buks over there. And there at every outboard wrecking yard....1999 to 2003 omc 200 and 225 Fichts with the ram air induction. Yes the same ones that sank omc into bankruptcy. They all have a beautiful set of 6 throttle bodies on them and their high build quality. Its wasn't the Itbs that killed em it was the fuel injectors.

@@MrFoozin you know they still make the 1G last time i was checking them out, I encountered a bunch in japan, they arent very sought after; i think they too have gone to direct injection, which what my friend who has run mercedes tells me can actually be burdensome since the technology hasnt matured yet and carbon build up is an issue

@@streetinfamy Im not a fan of it . Your *fuel air charge is not mixed as effectively in the the 1g now before it enters the combustion chamber . I havnt had much to do with newer versions of the 1g so I can't comment any more on that as I do not know lol

@@MrFoozin I just checked wiki and production "ended" in 2008, I think they were more or less the economy engine. Unless we are talking about direct injection I'm not a fan of that either 😅
