Thank you for sharing and for teaching people about some of the wonderful things of the past that were not only useful and necessary, but were also a joy in making and utilizing!
Marion, you are a very talented Lady! I really enjoyed watching you make your little thread box and scissor holder. I have got to try and make the scissor holder to go around my neck. That was just precious. Now I know how to make my own wooden buttons. I am going tomorrow to baby sit my 3.5 month old grandson for my son to work and before I leave I'm going to go in the woods and cut myself some branches to make buttons. You are so full of ideas! Thank you so much for your tutorials. I just love watching you make things. Many Blessings. 🥰

I just love your 'take it on' attitude, Marion. Love how you just decide to try something and have a go at it, all the while not being overly self critical or perfectionistic about what you're doing, but just enjoying the process. This is something we all are resonating with because we all aspire to be more like this with our creative process I'm thinking. You are so sweet to share all of yourself in this way and you probably have no idea how many people you are encouraging and inspiring. Your needle case is lovely, but your soul is even lovelier and it comes shining through in every generous video. xoxo
That was lovely to read thank you. I do hope I show that you don't need much to start being creative with something. These days there's so much to buy it can be off putting for someone who thinks they need lots of stuff before they start.

I am rediscovering embroidery in my retirement and you are do creative, educational, and overall lovely and relaxing to listen to. Thanks do much for making this videos. They are very inspirational. I feel like I have visited with you personally after watching each one.
Congratulations on surpassing the 15K subscribers Marion! Your hussif is beautiful! The origami box reminded me of something similar I saw eons ago, and I think it was used to carry coins in your pocket. Yours is so much nicer! Thanks for teaching us so many techniques. ❤
I love Marion how you can think outside the box and see what can be made from things that I couldn't possibly see the value in. You are so inspirational and I thank you for another video that gets my imagination going. xx
Lovely to watch you this morning with my morning coffee. I’m off now to make papier-mâché boats with my grandson, and we will be using stuff from my collections for that in ‘Marion’ style. ❤
Lovely to catch up with your hussif making…I ve missed the earlier ones but will watch them. This brought back some lovely memories of my mum’s very simple hussif which now lives with a family friend and it got me polishing up my little vintage leather sewing case and thinking whether to make a hussif with pouches to put it in. Always enjoy watching your films Marion. They are inspiring and warm. Thank you 🧡
I love your new scissor case. It’s great you received the indigo fabric in the swap. How lucky for because it’s lovely and it’s something you haven’t done.
Lovely tutorial Marion .I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it Your ideas are so original don't know how you come with them. I'm eagerly awaiting your next tutorial.
Marion I'm amazed at your hand sewing. I have sewn everything from undergarments to coats and knit my own socks etc. Yet I cannot even sew a button on by hand. No one ever taught me to sew by hand. The weird thing is that I can embroider. You've given me inspiration to try to sew a button by hand. Who knows what I can do after that!
Beautiful as always Marion - what a smart idea I’m always putting my scissors down without thinking and losing them, will be making this definitely. The Japanese box is delightful and a good project for us older ladies who need to challenge our minds 😃 I am truly happy to hear you find solace in your stitching and garden, thank you Marion xx
Beautiful little pieces, Marion - just perfect for your hussif. That tiny fabric thread box is so cute yet eminently practical😍 Can't wait to see what you make next and how your garden comes on this year. God bless❤

@@marionsworld24 Oh thank you Marion, like you it started from necessity, I cut my 4 children's hair , made their clothes and sheets and made food stretch for miles lol.. Thank you for sharing your Maid Marion/bow and arrow story. 💖 I really appreciate you showing how to make a scissor cover to fit my specific scissors….and make it beautiful as well. 💖💖💖
Thrifting for materials and ideas lol. Don't know what I'll use it for and no, it's not my size but check out the hand, see the color, the possibilities get the creativity working and I'll do something with it. All sections of the store are filled with possibilities. Thanks for tutorials and the ideas.
Marion you are such a brave woman to paint over that fabric but I totally get that. Make do and use what you have is mostly my motto too. Your Scissor keeper is truly gorgeous! I do Love your Maid Marion story too how lovely your story is. I have often wondered what the significance of your arrow was as I always admired it too. Thank You for sharing with us.
Congratulations on 15k subscribers. I laughed with you when you placed the pink paint directly on the fabric. How lovely to go to Paris. You have such talent and obviously are full of ideas.
Oh Marion I just appreciate you & your videos so much! You make everything so interesting and so simple… but it’s not that simple for me! The scissors case turned out beautiful & I can’t believe you made the Chinese box work .. but it worked & turned out lovely! I wish I could come & spend a week with you to learn first hand! Thank you so much for sharing your talents! Just loved the story about your “signature “ & how it came about!!❤
Now I know what a "Hussif" is, thank you, Marion. This entire project is such a lovely heirloom - invaluable. I think I might add a square of card into the bottom of the little box, anticipating that I'll never get mine perfectly square.
I love paper gadgets. I'm going to try to make mine bigger, maybe 4 inch square using a sturdy cloth, maybe denim. The quilt club is going to like this for retreats.
Marion, fabulous video, how lovely your scissor holder is and I lOVE the little thread box, well done for working that out. Glad to hear you had a nice break with Naomi and her partner
The work you have carried out on your husif truly makes it a little treasure. Enjoy using it - and creating more wonderful things for us to watch and attempt. As always, I hope you have a great week and look forward to your next video.
Thank you Marion for your video . I managed to get the book, thankfully not at the price that some vendors were asking so my journey on the sewing accessories can get going. The little origami ORT bag ,inspired and such a lovely neat size. So glad you had a lovely time in France with your daughter and your thrifted fabric is beautiful. That silk shirt, what a colour. Maid Marion and a bow and arrow, I could just imagine you wanting something like Mouseman for a logo. Looking forward to future projects, see you next time in your world.
You are amazing Marion and i always enjoy watching a video from you! ❤ What a great little fabric box you made and the scissors case! 😊👍Now I've got my sewingroom back after it was a guestroom over Easter and I've sewn the pieces of fabric on the last Wednesday project. Time to embroider on it. Today it has been warm and sunny here. I have replanted some small lettuce plants on the balcony. Has a large plastic box as a "greenhouse". Thay have to live in it for a while because tomorrow there will come a lot of snow again 😕 and minus degrees for some days. Hope you have a good time Marion! ❤🌿🌸🌱🐝🌷🦋
Love your scissor case and thread box. Something new for me to try and copy. Thank you. I had to smile at your story of your name. My mum went to the 'pictires' just before I was born. It was a Barbara Stanwick film (shows how old I am!) so I became Barbara. Not sure I ever really forgave mum for that!
She was such a great actress though... I've always thought I had quite an old fashioned name for my age group ..but I've always liked it.... probably the romantic association with Robin Hood no doubt ☺️
Thank you for another lovely video. I love the idea of making do with what I have… I like simplicity yet complexity you bring to your work. Your ideas are just amazing. I am drawn to your channel and absolutely love listening to you. Thank you. 😊
Amazing off the cuff engineering on both pieces, so clever and functional! Success on what one would call their “prototype” ! Your Hussif is beautiful! The story of your “trademark “ is so sweet 🌹
Goodness you have a lot of patience when it comes to fiddling with complex things. I tend to give up too quickly if things are difficult as I lose faith in my abilities. It’s a confidence thing that I need to work on 😂

Don't know what I'll use it for and no, it's not my size but check out the hand, see the color, the possibilities get the creativity working and I'll do something with it. All sections of the store are filled with possibilities. Thanks for tutorials and the ideas.
😅👍
Such a lovely hussif! All the pieces are absolute treasures! I have to make that little thread catch! Thank you for sharing!
👍
@@marionsworld24 And I’m contemplating my hussif! I need one so I’ll need that little scissor holder also. Yours turned out wonderful!
Thank you, Marion, for sharing how to make a Hussif❤️
Wow, this fabric origami looks miraculous!
Very impressive! It all looks sooo beautiful! Thank you so much for sharing! ❤
Well I'd had that fabric for ages and it hadn't been used yet... Now it's found a purpose 😊
Congratulations on 15k subscribers. I laughed with you when you placed the pink paint directly on the fabric. How lovely to go to Paris. You have such talent and obviously are full of ideas.
In the end it dried to a purple that was the ideal colour! Serendipity indeed 😊
Absolutely love the idea of the homemade button. Wonderful addition to your Hussif
Forgot to say how ingenious your buttons are, I really don’t know how you come up with all your ideas, just love them
Oh Marion I just appreciate you & your videos so much! Just loved the story about your “signature “ & how it came about!!❤
Thanks Patricia 💐
Now I know what a "Hussif" is, thank you, Marion. This entire project is such a lovely heirloom - invaluable. I think I might add a square of card into the bottom of the little box, anticipating that I'll never get mine perfectly square.
Mine definitely isn't perfectly square, but that's okay you know... I embrace the fact that it's unique.
Lovely story about your beautiful signature!
I love paper gadgets. I'm going to try to make mine bigger, maybe 4 inch square using a sturdy cloth, maybe denim. The quilt club is going to like this for retreats.
Sounds good!
Marion, fabulous video, how lovely your scissor holder is and I lOVE the little thread box, well done for working that out. Glad to hear you had a nice break with Naomi and her partner
😊💐
Loved your story. And the little fabric box is amazing…just like you
I'm blushing...
The work you have carried out on your husif truly makes it a little treasure. Enjoy using it - and creating more wonderful things for us to watch and attempt. As always, I hope you have a great week and look forward to your next video.
You are a marvel.
😊💐🪡🧵
Wonderful. Please keep on videoing and sharing your beautiful creations! ❤🙏🏼❤️
👍😊
You r so talented & I love the story about your bow & arrow. Thank you, Maid Marion
☺️ 🏹
I love the scissors case. Brilliant creation all around.😊
💐
Oh dear..more snow ❄️
Love your scissor case and thread box. Something new for me to try and copy. Thank you.
I had to smile at your story of your name. My mum went to the 'pictires' just before I was born. It was a Barbara Stanwick film (shows how old I am!) so I became Barbara. Not sure I ever really forgave mum for that!
She was such a great actress though... I've always thought I had quite an old fashioned name for my age group ..but I've always liked it.... probably the romantic association with Robin Hood no doubt ☺️
Love this…again, necessity the mother of invention. Thanks for showing two making one for more durability with sharp scissors.
Sharp points really do need a tight weave so they don't poke holes every time you put them into the case...
Playing catchup as we have finally moved house. Your excitement, enthusiasm, imagination ans inventiveness are so delightful and refreshing
☺️👍
Yes she is. And I love her for it😊
Thank you for another lovely video. I love the idea of making do with what I have… I like simplicity yet complexity you bring to your work. Your ideas are just amazing. I am drawn to your channel and absolutely love listening to you. Thank you. 😊
Thanks so much Vickie 💐
Thanks again for the lovely video. l loved the idear of making your own button out of a piece of wood.
I'll maybe incorporate it into a future video...
Amazing off the cuff engineering on both pieces, so clever and functional! Success on what one would call their “prototype” ! Your Hussif is beautiful!
The story of your “trademark “ is so sweet 🌹
😊
Goodness you have a lot of patience when it comes to fiddling with complex things. I tend to give up too quickly if things are difficult as I lose faith in my abilities. It’s a confidence thing that I need to work on 😂
Just think of the satisfaction when you see something through though...
Love the bow and arrow story 😊
😊
Merci de France ❤❤❤ avec vous j'apprends énormément
Merci beaucoup Cathy 😊
Such a lovely video, thank you so much Marion 😊
👍💐
Hi Marion, I was totally mesmerized watching you create the little fabric box !!!!!!! Brilliant 🤗🤗🤗The scissor holder is lovely xXxX I am also now going to be scouring the garden for a branch to make buttons ..... what's next from your amazing mind ????? Can't wait 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
