It’s such a joy to hear someone so happy about the small things in life. Not that the Hussif was a small job altogether, but your joy at the small wins all the way through had me smiling for the whole video. Thank you for making my day - and it is such gorgeous and useful item!

Oh this was such a delightful video to watch! Not only have you fashioned yourself a new, uniquely beautiful needle book, but it clearly brought you so much joy in the making of it. Yes I imagine it feels very tactile with the embellishments, yet it looks so soft and comforting to hold in your hand. Love all the needles in their original packets, a lovely reminder of sewing heritage.

Hello Marion. I LOVE your hussif. Especially all your beach finds and the leather fixings. It reminds me of mine. I made it from clothing scraps and fabric that I'd hand dyed, and I use it all the time. My needle book isn't attached, but fits in a pocket. It holds all my sewing necessities in one place. And I'm very fond of it. Odd what makes us stitchers happy. 😊❤

Blow, I threw a worn pair of leather gloves out last week while packing for our move. My husband has been urging me to lessen my craft stash, so I compromised by not adding to it. I can't wait to move and get started on some of your wonderful ideas. Meantime I have a small piece of slow stitching on the go, with minimum colours and threads, a hexie epp project and my crochet blanket for the evenings

Having watched you make this Hussif with all your brilliant ideas, the needle case I was going to make is now going to be a Hussif. Having seen the original idea you had for closing it gave me the idea of using a piece of old clay pipe which was amongst the many items found when I had an allotment. I too have a collection of old packets of needles, old bone and metal crochet hooks, some of which I still use when making crochet items for my dolls house. Marion you are a joy to watch. Thank you.

Thank you Marion for your video. What an amazing project a lovely Hussif. I got so excited with you over the thumb of the globe I clapped, which is funny at 4am 😂. This is so what I was thinking of. I knew a little needlebook was no use to me but I had never seen anything larger. This will fit the bill, you know we need to change our needle size and type often in the sort of stitching we do so we need instant access. Some of my students gave me as a retirement gift a whole range of sizes and types of needles and that's the bundle of packets I have been struggling with. This project means I can have one of everything to hand, excited to start.

Not doing anything perfectly was me until I saw your videos and you kept saying things " I'm not bothered". And you create gorgeous things. So I go all excted and have started "going for it". Thank you

That's brilliant! Don't worry about each little thing. Just enjoy what you do and you'll find the whole process will be lovely.. Also.. remember other people will look at what you've created and won't see the same things you do. They'll just see how amazing it is that you've made something beautiful! Happy stitching to you...

I hope you're doing well Helen. Life long learning is something I really believe in... I learn new things all the time. Having a curious mind keeps us young mentally I think even as we physically age....
I'm so happy you enjoy my videos and the things I'm making 💐🪡🧵
