Regional airlines pilots, considered a stepping stone job until you’re hired at Legacy carrier, start at $100,000 per year

One of the main obstacles of flight training is funding, an 18 year old to come up with $12K is very difficult...Why can't there be some type of networking where as person(s)with Wright Brothers card holders get offered from the airport landlords residential space with the expectations that person is help maintaining the airfield, selling fuel ect....these days renting an apartment is around $2K a month that is all the pay checks for the month of a part time employee there is no funding for flight training....More than happy to share my other talents with an airport owner.

When I started flight training in 1997, as a high school student, I didn’t have a penny. Food stamps, section 8 housing. Came from a single parent home. Mom didn’t work. Dad wasn’t around. Flight school loans didn’t exist. I got a job at 14, two jobs during the summer, then 12-16 units in college while working 30 hours a week and taking flight lessons 3 days a week. Every obstacle can be overcome. The question is if you’re willing to put in the personal sacrifices to achieve your dreams. Best wishes
