Jirard, I love to hear you so excited for a game!!! I have been a HUGE fan for the past 2 years (maybe not as long as other hardcore fans) and love your style of comedic narration for explaining the different components of the game! Keep at her, my main man!
I platinumed the original Uncharted trilogy but I never dared to play any of them on Brutal difficulty as Crushing is as much of a challenge as I can endure already, lol! My favorite Uncharted game. Even though i love them all. Uncharted 4 comes in at a close 2nd. These games defined my childhood, and I love the characters aswell as the music, the gameplay etc. The uncharted 2 multiplayer was the thing that kept me playing for years! ❤️ I don’t regret one second of it.
Xenoblade. Literally hundreds of hours in gameplay, extremely expansive world that feel like an entire world, hundreds of fairly memorable npcs, even more side quests, a huge emphasis on exploration, advanced gameplay, challenging enemies, minibosses, bosses and superbosses, and a grand story, I just described the first game. The Xenoblade Chronicles series is one of gaming's greatest treasures, and it's a shame it's not well known.
+Josiah Vock it's more of a hybrid. It's more like games such as… I dunno. FF1-10 are more like JRPG's, I guess Xenoblade is open world? Some battles can be played like an adventure game, and exploration with secrets are very much like an adventure game.
I really want to see you complete Jak and Daxter the precursor legacy. Either the original ps2 version or the PS3 collection. The Jak and Daxter trilogy was one of my favorites from my childhood and I would like to know what your opinion on the games are
3:48 Looks the same to me aside from Drake being slouched over. 4:20 YES! The greatest game of all time must be remade! 7:15 I haven't watched it. And the amount of bullets shot...
The game has an statistics menu, where it shows everything, from bullets shots, deaths, all the way to enemies killed with explotions or even enemies killed while hanging from a wall
Tomb Raider's one of my fave adventure series. Hell, even the reboot was pretty neat even if it wasn't much of a globetrotting adventure and didn't have all that much actual tomb raiding. I've yet to hop into Rise of the Tomb Raider, but from what I've seen it looks more like the Tomb Raiders I grew up with.
Wow. The Brutal Mode difficulty is just ridiculous. How many actual people want to even play through that? That's part of why it's so awesome to have someone like The Completionist actually going through some of this content that people actually put in their games so that he can inform the world about whether or not it's even a good idea to do that. But as for adventure gaming...I love it. I enjoy Uncharted and older stuff like Jak And Daxter and Ratchet And Clank...Zelda of course...
I'm not sure if you can call it a series, but the Team ICO games, ICO and Shadow of the Colossus, are some of the best adventure-platformers I've played and are real near and dear to my heart.
completed this the other day on crushing, not overly hard just dont run out into the open, stay in cover and go for headshots, there are a few areas with loads of enemies but once you figure out what directions they appear from its fine
Just platinumed it, an easy game to 100 percent, similar to Spiderman (PS4), highly recommend platinum completing all of the Uncharted series, especially since the original Uncharted trilogy has been remastered for a great price for the PS4 so newcomers to the series, such as myself when I bought the Nathan Drake Uncharted Collection, can play them!
19:55 SPOOKY SCARY SKELETONS SEND SHIVERS DOWN YOUR SPINE SHRIEKING SKULLS WILL SHOCK YOUR SOUL AND SEAL YOUR DOOM TONIGHT! (also obvious 'Do Undertale' comment even though you don't do PC games yada yada)
[Back to the Future theme starts as I come out of the DeLorean] [pant, pant] holy sh*t Jirard! I just got here from watching every single episode of "The Completionist" and boy' you have a lot of videos and let me just say I'm a huge fan so keep up the good work! I have been missing out on what your show had to offer until i decided to give it a go on the start of January, around, and I actually decided to watch the whole thing again! And the reason I took so long to make this comment is because well i'm lazy Hey! Stop judging me! [looks around] you're all the same out there! [gets back in the DeLorean and flies away to watch more Completionist]
I am playing the uncharted series right now for the first time (playing 4). And when i played the first game, i thought it wasnt THAT good. But the second and third game are incredible improvements from uncharted 1
If you played Uncharted Day one is was unreal. Nothing was quite like it at the time. It was like the Tomb Raider everyone wanted but they kept dropping the ball on, but it hasn't aged nearly as well as the second and third.
Uncharted 2, gameplay and story-wise, was a massive improvement over the the first one. I often found myself dying constantly or getting stuck in Uncharted 1 (those goddamn sea-doo segments!) and I feared that I wouldn't be able to finish the series. I love the characters, the witty and fun dialogue, the relationships (Nate/Elena has become one of my favourite OTPs), the action! I'm playing Uncharted 3 right now in preparation for Uncharted 4 and will be meeting Nolan North at Calgary Expo in a couple of weeks.
+Monado Sans Uncharted should be banned for being trash so i don't have to see it anywhere else. Jirard wasted this week on a bad game, thus i have nothing good to watch from him this week. This is unacceptable.
For anyone trying to 100% the ND collection in 2021, there is a glitch to ease brutal mode on U2 and U3. FInish game on crushing, start new game on brutal. Open menu, change difficulty to crushng, use cheat menu to enable 1 kill hit and unlimited ammo, WITHOUT CLOSING THE PAUSE MENU, change back to brutal. Game doesn't register as a difficulty change since you didn't resume the game in a different difficulty, ant the tweaks/cheats stay I just platinum it and didn't care about the extended trophies, but hey, go for it if you want
legend of zelda the first one it was really ahead of its time and there are so many secrets and items for that era and this one its just amazing and nothing is more satisfying than holding up that triforce piece and slowly healing to full this was the first game to make the player feel adventurous and epic and no game since has given quite that same feeling.
Roxie ღ Thats tragic and deep... maybe this will be the plot of uncharted 4? :P If not, it certainly should become a story at some point. ;P Wonder if the boy from "Shadow of the collosus" made the same deal. ;)
The REAL unsung hero of the presentation is the sound design. Have you played these games in 5.1 or 7.1? It makes headphones sound like built-in tv speakers by comparison.
Uncharted 2 is easily the best entry in the series. Its also one of the best video games ever made (right up there with the likes of The Last of Us, Bioshock, Dead Space, Bayonetta 2, Far Cry 3, Resident Evil 4, Mass Effect 2, Red Dead Redemption, etc). The game nails the cinematic aspect very well. The protagonists are very likeable, easy to relate to and are worth caring about. The numerous environments are varied, gorgeous and filled with lots of detail. Uncharted 2 also manages to tell a story that is really intriguing and very well told. The voice acting is top (thanks to an amazing cast of actors and actresses) as is the soundtrack. Action sequences, puzzles and cutscenes are well done. Even the multiplayer aspect is solid in its own right. I remember way back when I was at a friend's house and I saw him playing Uncharted 2 and I was absolutely blown by what I was seeing on the screen. At that point, I knew that I had to have the game right away. Naughty Dog has had a great pedigree when it comes to making solid video games (Uncharted, The Last of Us, Jak & Daxter and Crash Bandicoot). The Uncharted series looked great on the PS3 however, with the Nathan Drake Collection the games look even better while running at a solid 60 fps. Uncharted 4 couldn't come soon enough which makes waiting for it all the more difficult. Given Naughty Dog's previous releases I have no doubt that Uncharted 4 will be a great video game. On the other hand, Its a fitting end to one of gaming's most beloved franchises as well as one of the most popular video game characters in Nathan Drake. Thanks Jirard for another great video and God bless!
You got that right, Jirard. I doubt that I would complete "Brutal" mode since I was repeatedly killed by Lazarevic on "Crushing" mode. JUST "CRUSHING" MODE!!!
Ratchet and Clank is my favorite platformer of all time. Can you guys please do a ratchet and clank episode since the new movie is coming out soon?! Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal was probably the best one ever made and i'd love to see a completion of it!
I know this is an old comment... But, Uncharted 4 on Crushing is super easy compared to ANY Brutal mode on the original trilogy. Brutal is above Crushing and was made by Bluepoint, not Naughtydog. it's a broken unbalanced mess. Brutal mode is flatout broken, there's even part in the first game where you have to break the AI in order to survive. (the blue room part)
My personal opinion on difficulty modes is that Metro has done it best: Scale up damage (for everyone) AND scale down health (FOR EVERYONE) IE in Ranger Hardcore mode on Metro 2033, a single shot was near death...against enemies OR the player. It's a far more fair _and_ realistic system of extreme difficulty. Plus it made stealth really fun.
Good god, these videos on this series gave me flashbacks to the time I once took the challenge on completing these games on crushing mode...... Never again
I’d argue that Uncharted 2 is one of the most “pure fun” games to have come out in the last 20 years. It’s like Mario but with summer blockbuster vibes.
I never thought I would say this...but thank you to youtube for adding the speed control...made reading the line of text possible without constant pause...and it was worth it :)
I only got my PS3 back in December, and some of the first games I grabbed for it were the Uncharted games. I've watched playthroughs online, read about 'em, and been wanting to play them for YEARS, and it was finally my time to do so. These games are HARD AS HELL. Perhaps it's just being used to KB/M after jumping ship to PC gaming for a few years now, but (at least on the PS3 version) I find aiming the guns to be a huge chore, and most of my deaths in-game come from inability to aim well at enemies regardless of my sensitivity settings. The platforming is great, the visuals and story? As beautiful as I could hope for, and as fun all around... except for the gunplay. I'm stuck about 2/3 of the way through Uncharted 2, and have been for around 2 months. Yes, on easy. Call me lame and a noob if ya want, but DANG.
***** Got The Last of Us too! My day 1 purchases were mostly Naughty Dog and Squeenix. I figured now was the time to jump in, since good games are cheap as dirt and the hardware's still recent enough reliability isn't an issue, and I've been more than happy with the console as a whole. I've got 21 games on disc, and probably that same number of downloadables. I still intend to finish Uncharted 2 eventually, and move on to 3; the rest of the gameplay is more than worth it, and the story is one of the few ones in games that actually makes me want to see it to completion on my own rather than just through online videos, but that gunplay, that gunplay.
All I know is constant ads told me this was a movie, over and over and over I saw those.. I think it was because G4 still existed back then so it was probably during every hour it had an ad on that channel.
I have yet to play a single game in this series. I guess I need to pickup the Uncharted collection! Didn't realize it was such a stealthy game. Thanks for the review!
My grandparents saw me play it and asked me what the name of the movie was
Lol
Lmao it's so great they thought it was a movie

Eidetic became SIE Bend, or just Bend Studio, who made Syphon Filter games and Uncharted Golden Abyss for Vita.
completed this the other day on crushing, not overly hard just dont run out into the open, stay in cover and go for headshots, there are a few areas with loads of enemies but once you figure out what directions they appear from its fine
do uncharted 3 and the last of us
Just platinumed it, an easy game to 100 percent, similar to Spiderman (PS4), highly recommend platinum completing all of the Uncharted series, especially since the original Uncharted trilogy has been remastered for a great price for the PS4 so newcomers to the series, such as myself when I bought the Nathan Drake Uncharted Collection, can play them!

SPOOKY SCARY SKELETONS SEND SHIVERS DOWN YOUR SPINE
SHRIEKING SKULLS WILL SHOCK YOUR SOUL AND SEAL YOUR DOOM TONIGHT!
(also obvious 'Do Undertale' comment even though you don't do PC games yada yada)
he has to do it
[Back to the Future theme starts as I come out of the DeLorean] [pant, pant] holy sh*t Jirard!
I would go gay for Drake ;)
3.... fucking... intros
what
the normal boots intro, the beard mode engaged intro and the announcment
Legend of Zelda, Okami, Skyrim, Fallout, Pokemon. Those are my favorites, Bearded man!
UNDERTALE PLZ!!!!
yeah
+Masonaut123 I will grant your wish... just wait.
As his intro says,YES.
This in my opinion is the best uncharted game and my favorite
Did anyone else think that the first game was OK at best?
I am playing the uncharted series right now for the first time (playing 4). And when i played the first game, i thought it wasnt THAT good. But the second and third game are incredible improvements from uncharted 1
It was SO FRUSTRATING
If you played Uncharted Day one is was unreal. Nothing was quite like it at the time. It was like the Tomb Raider everyone wanted but they kept dropping the ball on, but it hasn't aged nearly as well as the second and third.
Rekashal Games Yea that makes sense. I played it in 2016
Tyke yup
Uncharted 2, gameplay and story-wise, was a massive improvement over the the first one. I often found myself dying constantly or getting stuck in Uncharted 1 (those goddamn sea-doo segments!) and I feared that I wouldn't be able to finish the series.
I love the characters, the witty and fun dialogue, the relationships (Nate/Elena has become one of my favourite OTPs), the action! I'm playing Uncharted 3 right now in preparation for Uncharted 4 and will be meeting Nolan North at Calgary Expo in a couple of weeks.
Another uncharted video, huh?
That dislike button looks nice... I should click it.
Care to explain why you don't like these games?
+Monado Sans
Indiana jones ripoff
Bad gameplay
Bad story
It sucks.
Squid overlord If you say so... I personally love these games, but it's fine if you don't enjoy them.
+Monado Sans Uncharted should be banned for being trash so i don't have to see it anywhere else.
Jirard wasted this week on a bad game, thus i have nothing good to watch from him this week.
This is unacceptable.
Squid overlord You could go back and watch some of his older videos.
Game doesn't register as a difficulty change since you didn't resume the game in a different difficulty, ant the tweaks/cheats stay
I just platinum it and didn't care about the extended trophies, but hey, go for it if you want
legend of zelda the first one it was really ahead of its time and there are so many secrets and items for that era and this one its just amazing and nothing is more satisfying than holding up that triforce piece and slowly healing to full this was the first game to make the player feel adventurous and epic and no game since has given quite that same feeling.
Anyone else noticed that Drake seems to be somewhat cursed? Whenever he climbs on something, it usual breaks right behind him.
+toongrowner1 He made a deal with a powerful being. He'd have unlimited finger strength, but almost everything he holds onto for support, breaks.
Roxie ღ
Thats tragic and deep... maybe this will be the plot of uncharted 4? :P If not, it certainly should become a story at some point. ;P
Wonder if the boy from "Shadow of the collosus" made the same deal. ;)
toongrowner1
Possibly! ;3
The grandkids of the guy who made the superman game : 👁️👄👁️
National Treasure is a great set of movies. Wish they made a third one
You got that right, Jirard. I doubt that I would complete "Brutal" mode since I was repeatedly killed by Lazarevic on "Crushing" mode. JUST "CRUSHING" MODE!!!
Funny, I was playing Uncharted 2 when you posted this review. I wanted to finish the game before I watched this, good review. Brutal mode looks...
I wanna enjoy playing this but the only emotions I feel are frustration and relief when that frustration briefly subsided
Ratchet and Clank is my favorite platformer of all time. Can you guys please do a ratchet and clank episode since the new movie is coming out soon?! Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal was probably the best one ever made and i'd love to see a completion of it!
I am a huge Uncharted fan! I've just gotten the Nathan Drake Collection and I cannot wait to see all of the games on the PS4
Feeling the burn on Crushing difficulty on uncharted 4, which sounds a hell of a lot like the brutal mode of this game. Props Jirad!
My personal opinion on difficulty modes is that Metro has done it best: Scale up damage (for everyone) AND scale down health (FOR EVERYONE)
IE in Ranger Hardcore mode on Metro 2033, a single shot was near death...against enemies OR the player. It's a far more fair _and_ realistic system of extreme difficulty.
Plus it made stealth really fun.
Good god, these videos on this series gave me flashbacks to the time I once took the challenge on completing these games on crushing mode...... Never again
2 Playstation exclusives in a row? damn, keep up the completion work beardman
yeah it different then the thousands Nintendo titles
5:21 thank you sir, for clearing that up, I never could figure out were that cutscene belonged in the story!
The co-op mode was amazing! I sunk hours into that.
'Dark Souls,' baby! Speaking of which, any plans to cover Dark Souls III once it comes out? Or even Demon's Souls or Bloodborne, for that matter...
Call me lame and a noob if ya want, but DANG.
you should also check out demon's souls, heavy rain, the last of us, ni no kuni and more which I can't think of off the top of my head
The 60fps , better textures and 1080p resolution really make these 3 games pop out compared to the ps3 versions, like a lot more.
Liked the video~ As a suggestion, I would love to see you tackle the Megaman Battle Network games, they are one of my favorite megaman franchises .
I don't play many games online. But I can play Uncharted 2 & 3's Multiplayer for hours. Highly recommend it. You can pick up those games for cheap.
Dang a bummer that i can't go because that's a bit far for me lol, good video keep it up MAO!!! BTW Love the Album!
love this game. the multiplayer was fun and addictive too. lots of fun with friends and memories.
I have yet to play a single game in this series. I guess I need to pickup the Uncharted collection! Didn't realize it was such a stealthy game. Thanks for the review!
