Nice one Pat. After a long time. As always I learn a lot from you
One suggestion is to reposition the fixings on your garage side to make the sail flat & improve tension
The other was to have to have measured the distance between the house & the garage, laid the sail flat out, measured out the extension/s required & then fixed it
You may need to watch for the steel wire ends; they are a bit too long. If you were removing the sail for maintenance/cleaning for mold/mildew buildup, these steel wire ends may get in the way & tear the sail. The other way is to spray mild bleach /soft wash solution once in a while to keep it clean, like the exterior of the house

Thank you. Your suggestions are well noted. I have been extremely satisfied with the shade itself and the coverage it provides but not the aesthetics. Im not real fond of the long steel cables myself. My plan is to analyze what's working and what's not throughout the course of the season. I am seriously leaning towards custom sized shades to cover this area next year. When that happens, I will be sure to bring you guys along for the show. Take care!
