Sunday night I decided to do an abs only workout. I did 5 sits ups 40 incline sit ups with twists. And between those sets I took 20 hard punches. My lower back is a bit sore this morning but overall I feel I got one of the best abs workouts I've had in a long time. I do want to keep up doing hanging leglifts as they transformed my lowers abs especially. I feel I'm liking more and more the idea of taking hard punches. What's cool is that our gym is now used to abs trained by taking punches. I got no push back last night. I've seen lots of guys really up their abs workout all summer. But it still feels weird letting a guy just punch me. I'm also liking the feeling of the hard punch hitting my abs muscles. It's causing me to think more about each punch. I learned how to breathe this summer on impact and I see how much right technique is essential. My winter goal is to be much more aggressive in my abs training and see how much progress I make by spring.
@@Shimidzufitness Thanks! My new goal is to be able to take 500 full power punches on New Year's Eve. I'm excited. I still need to think about it some more before telling my training partner. This is still so new to me.
Haha love how you used the leaves! 😅 Your body is insane bro. Would you ever do vlogs/day in the life kind of videos? Or is this gonna be the main focus on your channel?
Nice to see your core workouts. Do you ever bring your feet to the bar? I've been a bit obsessed with harder abs workouts. I got up the courage to take some hard punches. I'd wanted to know what Anton did so easily. It's not easy. I lasted for 20 hard punches and felt it the next day--DOMS. But it got me interested to see if this is something I should maybe lean into.
@@jamest1157 cheers for the support mate, getting feet to the bar straight arm is tough! Do able but tough. Taking punches to the core whilst exercising it is definitely beneficial but be careful👍 listen to your body
@@Shimidzufitness Seeing the gymnast the summer training to take punches was impressive and scary. I'm a newbie at it but it sort of felt good if that makes sense. I've been doing hanging leglifts all summer and they've become fun. Windshield wipers, round the world, and bringing feet up at all angles. The key thing is not to swing. I've been trying to do hanging leglifts starting from the hanging L sit keeping ROM to 90°. or less. I took punches standing with my hands behind my head and my feet placed so as not to be knocked on my ass. My body fat is less than 10% and I've noticed my lower row of abs have been more developed and rock hard. It's amazing to say how I went from barely training my abs to going in for long hard workouts. It will be fun to see how long you train outside as winter comes your way.
@@Shimidzufitness Sorry to hear that. I'm fortunate to go to a really nice gym. It's old school and not a chain gym. The building is rough but they've done a great job to make it dry and warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Some very old equipment and eclectic. It used to be some kind of old warehouse and may have had some animals. Great old beams. It's got various larger open spaces and mostly nicely set up. It has way more than I would ever need. I'm not a fan of treadmills but use them when the weather's crappy.
Great workout routine, very effective!💪
@@bryankent3307 cheers pal, certainly did the trick 👍
Excellent routine and what a cool settting is that gorgeous English terraced square in the Autumn. Keep up the good work! 💪

Very dedicated, not giving up even though the bars would have been freezing! I do hope you get gloves soon! Thank you.
