I've always admired your hair, while being so frustrated with my own long, frizzy, dry locks. I was so very surprised to see that yours is much like my own just after washing! Thank you so much for your honesty and for once again, showing us the way. I feel confident that I too can achieve a l peace treaty with our own hair. :- )
I have to say as a woman dealing with frizzy curly hair all my life this lovely lady advice did help a little bit..plus she seems warm and calm and somehow gives me peace watching her🥰✨✨✨
I tried this x I don't shampoo, only use conditioner to wash my hair, mask for 5 minutes and rub some sweet almond oil in the ends - my hair has never been better, but I RECOMMEND THIS for styling 👍! Quick, easy on the hair and lovely results (shoulder length hair) 💕💯💪
I've heard the sweet almond oil is amazing, but I can't find it here! I've started using a Sukin hair oil ($17 a bottle) & find i need a lot less of it than the Moroccan Oil & it feels amazing for days (where I needed Moroc or coconut oil every day before I started using the Sukin one). I'm also using the Sukin Hydrating shampoo & conditioner & hard 2 break away from that brand now. I stopped using a brush about a year ago (& only comb my hair now, seems to help also) & I find better results sleeping on my wet hair (wash at night time & put in a pony tail with 3 ties until it actually dries) rather than drying it out in weather etc. Would show a pic but no option to put pics in comments
Love all your videos! I feel you made this one for me 😂 I’m 53 and just starting to have time for me. All your videos help me learn the right way or helpful hits on how to improve what I’m doing. I have been a mom for so many years and now it’s time for me and I love your videos because they give me those helpful hints or tricks or great ideals to make me feel better. Plus your voice is very Pleasant to listen to.
Love how your hair turned out, you look so beautiful. Thank you so much for teaching me your styling technique, as I have the same kind of hair. Take care & stay safe!
Great tutorial. I wondered if you had extensions, but obviously not! My hair doesn’t grow like it used to, but it’s frizzy and dry. I’ll definitely try this on my shorter hair...
My hair is pretty much the same as yours... the only thing that I think you should have done differently, is not brush it out at the end (that's what I do). Can't wait to try the products
I've been doing the Curly Girl Method, and my strawlike dry hair is becoming so moist and bouncy and my natural curls are coming back to life. I cannot use heat tools at all. It would be interesting to see you try this method for yours. It isn't easy but you see results amazingly quickly! You are so beautiful!
Yes please try the cgm way, heat is super damaging to hair, especially color treated hair. I am 60 and do the curly girl method, way better for your hair then a curling iron.
You have a gorgeous head of hair!! I never thought to start where you started. I always section my hair first & then start Curling at the bottom.. I'm definitely going to try it this way tomorrow morning. Thanks so much for making all of these videos. I know they are VERY time consuming. The tips & tricks are so wonderful!! Again, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!💞
My hair is curly and frizzy like yours but when I use the ghd curling iron I do not use a texture product because I thought it would dry my air. Iam going to try one of the products you use to see if the curls remain in place for more than one day. Thank you once again for the helpful ideas. 😘
My hair is exactly the same as yours and these tips are so helpful! When I was young I just had to let my hair airdry and it had the most beautiful big curls. Now it is impossible to get descent hair without s lot of effort and styling. And the right products make all the difference. Thanks a lot!!
This is a really easy routine for anyone with hair in this range of length. I haven't tried it because I do curly girl but I'd hop on this right away as others have said they are going to do. Her hair is NOT too long for her or anyone for that matter. This is a sore point for me and a myth our grandmothers and over zealous hairdressers perpetuated. I asked my husband if he thought her hair was too long and he said no. So Shelley, you rock that hair and keep doing your workouts. 💖
I love how you are always so inventive and creative! Love all your videos. They are also very inspiring especially during this time. Thank you for everything that you do and that you have done💕
Although I have a pixie cut, I always enjoy your tips and tricks. My daughter has long hair. I am going to share his with her. Thank you so much for inspiring me in so many ways!😘
I really love your videos as they are specifically desinged for woman over 50, which I am, but I think I am too lazy and maybe a little frugal to do all this to my hair, but your hair looks great. Plus I keep my hair at shoulder length, because longer it gets stringy as I have fine hair. Time to go to my hair stylist for new years.
I love these curls!!!! thank you so much for the tips, I am going to try the curl and clip method tommorow!!! I'm so excited :*) You are a great inspiration, I actually cut a blouse that was long and frumpy yesterday and made it into a center knot!!! I thought of you and the styling video, I love the top now :*) Thank you!!
Your hair looks amazing! I would like to do that to mine but don’t want to spend that much time on my hair. I guess if I were going somewhere special I might try it
Hi Schellea, your hair is truly fabulous! I noticed as I stay more inside this year that my blonde hair got much darker. Do you color yours or is it a natural color? If you die your hair, what die do you recommend and do you do it yourself?
It's a good mini arm workout too! Nice ideas. Thanks! My 17 year old daughter's hair is very curly but frizzes after a few days of having been washed. She's always asking me for different products and what to do. Thanks for these tips! ❤
Hello! Thank you for sharing this video. I've never gotten very good results or staying power in my hair, when using a curling tong, but you have made it look so simple to do, I'll try doing my hair the same as you've demonstrated. You look fantastic, and it's wonderful to find a channel with great demonstrations on how to look fantastic at 50+. Thank you and a happy new year to you. ☺️✨🌟
Hi, I have just joined your channel. I tried the hair styling today and love the look. Can you tell me how you wear your hair to bed after styling? I usually plait my hair for bed which gives a nice beach wave but want to keep this nice style of yours.
haha I did too ... quite a while back. How did it turn out for you? Unfortunately the hair dresser I have, showed disinterest in the images, just kind of 'ya ya, ok ... I'll do that' ... and then did nothing like it. It's not easy finding a new hair dresser.
@@theblissfullone Not bad! I needed more layers cut in though. My hair is crazy long and wild now (lockdown hair!) but I will be treating myself to an appointment when they open again 🤪
@@squarepeg9484 ... great to hear from you. :-) Yes, layers was an issue for me too. Good luck with the next hairdresser! I just started with another one, ends up he's just 4 months out of college. ~little nervous here~. My hair's very long, as well ... so I know it isn't easy adding layers to that length of hair.
That was my length yesterday until I cut off 6 inches, nice to have a trim now and then, after I wash I just put very little leave on Conditioner and done :) good for you to. Do all that work wow
Thanks for sharing these great hair styling ideas. Could you please list all the products you use. Would you also let us know where to buy them please. I know you mentioned each product you used , but a list would be most beneficial to us visual learners. LOL I am curious if this could work with hot rollers. Thanks and Blessings
Your. Hair color is gorgeous. I would love to know your hair color formula as I have same coloring as you and would love to go more strawberry blonde . I realize you have hi lights and low lights. What’s your root color formula for starters? Thank you for all of your amazing videos!
I love your video! My hair texture and color are almost exactly like yours, but mine is about 4 inches shorter. This video is so helpful to me. Your instructions were super! I can’t wait to try it 💖!
Yup! That is my hair, especially in this damp, winter weather. I tried this today and my hair turned into little springs, so I think I will just stick with using the curling rod without the pins...like your video on "beachy waves". My hair takes a curl very quickly. I also use Argan oil...just a tiny bit goes a long way, but really helps. Also, around here, our water is very hard. I use a Culligan water softener shower head that has cartridges that get changed every few months. That makes a huge difference in my level of frizz. AND, I never use a hairbrush. I learned that from a really good stylist. I use just a wide-toothed comb and remove all knots by hand, loosening them up and untangling gently. Every hair is a fragile fiber and brushes tend to tear a lot of hair out. Even natural bristle brushes! Thank you for the tips though.
Just subscribed. With all that product on your hair, do you go with out washing your hair every couple of days. I have fine hair that’s wavy on the top and curly towards the bottom. I’ve been washing my hair every two days. I use dry shampoo on the third day (if I can go that long). My hair is oily as well as my complexion so I stay away from products that are heavy in moisture and volume.
Schellea you look gorgeous as always! Beautiful head of hair! Thank you so much for sharing some of your hair tips. I also love big voluminous hair. My hair is naturally curly and with frizz of course. Lol! Always trying to smooth it out first then add some curls. Schellea so you alternate the different sprays as you do your curls? Does that work better for you? ☺❤
Your hair is always so beautiful. I have naturally curly hair so these steps won't work for me, but something anti frizz is always nice. Curly hair tends to get frizzy on top. Something for frizz control and always a gel works best for me.
Hi my name is Catherine ( Paul is my Fiance) and i am really loving all of this, i have long frizzy hair as well, loving your tutorials, i have always loved big hair , maybe its something to do with the 80's i dont know. I love that blue top on you. The sleeve length, the puff, the shade with your eyes, the neckline, all so pretty.
It's probably her color
Yes, gorgeous! Where did you get the top?
I have to say as a woman dealing with frizzy curly hair all my life this lovely lady advice did help a little bit..plus she seems warm and calm and somehow gives me peace watching her🥰✨✨✨
This woman absolutely makes my heart sing every time I see her! She is just so warm!!
lovely woman inside and out.
I would have used a wide tooth comb not a brush when loosening the curls. I’ve always found brushing adds frizz.
I've always use a hair pick to stop the frizzies. There are so many good products out today that also help.💞

I like the tighter curl on you just as well. The smaller curl matches a smaller frame, and looks cheerful. I didn't think it looked crazy at all.
My hair is pretty much the same as yours... the only thing that I think you should have done differently, is not brush it out at the end (that's what I do). Can't wait to try the products
