Very helpful! Looking at a CX-9 for our family and happy to hear the infant seat fits well! And tons of room for the stroller in the trunk 🔥

Been watching a lot of your videos, very helpful thank you! Just wondering how tall you are? I’m 6 3 and wondering if I would fit comfortably for long trips with a reverse car seat behind me.

I love our 2020 cx9. However, taking a road trip with 7ppl is VERY uncomfortable: barely any luggage space or leg room as described. However, second row is positional (reclines) so it's a bit more comfy for Snoozing.

Can you do a tutorial how to fold flat the middle row seats. Couldn't figure it out. Thanks

Your demonstration of the 2nd row bench seat was very helpful. Hopefully, Mazda will address the child restraint fit in future models. Although, no a/c vents, do you know if there are airbags in third row? I was really liking the Sorento until I found out (on RUclips) it didn’t have side air bags in the 3rd row.

Hi. Great video. Can you put three rear facing car seats in the second-row? Thanks!

I'm 6'1 and need the driver seat to go back almost all the way to drive, will the car seat still fit wth the driver seat almost all of the way back?

Interesting! How do you fit the booster in the middle seat? The seat belt pre-lock function doesn’t work on the middle seat seatbelt and there’s no iso fix/latch either.

Hello, my wife and I are looking at the Mazda CX-9 as a family car. We have 3 boys all In car seats.
2 of them are rear facing newborns, and the other is now able to sit forward facing. Can we make this happen in the CX-9?
Would it be better to find the 2nd row bench and put them all together in that row, or is it better to split them up with the captain chairs in the middle while leaving the middle access way open for my son in the forward facing car seat in the 3rd row?
Thank you for your car reviews!

We are in the same boat. What was your final decision?

@@mikeym1875 hey, so we ended up going with the 2019 Mazda CX-9 Sport. The mileage and price was right for us, so we pulled the trigger.
How we have our boys set up for the time being is the twins are in the 2nd row with the middle seat opened, for my wife to sit back there when the twin boys start acting up, which is pretty typical.
Then the rear row, we have one side folded down, to accommodate the stroller.and other items. And the other side we have my oldest son in his car seat. It works. I like how the seats fold forward to be able to access the rear.
We just made a road trip from San Diego to Las Vegas and our gas mileage was 31.6 MPG over the course of 300 miles. Some of that was idling while we stopped at a couple places and we sat in stop-and-go traffic for roughly 45 min in total over 5 1/2 hour trip.
City MPGs are different story. I’ve seen as low as 15mpg and as high as 24mpg.

@@XPUNKFoCuS thank you for the detailed reply. We are thinking about the Mazda as well. The price is good for the amount of features. Also, MPG sounds great as well. We are going to have a 3, 1, and a newborn. We can probably get away with all three in the second row. I do like you set up, because on longer trips the kids get fussy and my wife would probably have to do the same. It’s nice the have the flexibility since you can probably put all three in the second row and fold down the rear seats for more cargo room if necessary. The Mazda seems like a pretty good vehicle. Again, thanks for the detailed reply.

@@mikeym1875 bingo. I think it’s a great choice. I can’t say much about reliability since I bought it as a CPO with 31,000 miles and we have 33,700 miles now, but so far it’s been good. I have the warranty for another 4 years/70k miles, whichever comes first, so that’s a piece of mind.
If I could put a picture in this chat I would to show you that it’s totally doable placing all 3 car seats in the middle row to fold the rear row for more storage, since that’s a lacking point on the CX-9. We used the Diono 3RXT across the rear since they are slim fitting, and they worked perfect.
As of now, we are happy with the current set up, but we will eventually move to all 3 boys across the middle row when the time is appropriate.
Cheers and wish you the best with your decision. Glad I could help.

Hello! how did you attach the diono in the 3rd row?

    • @Travelwiththebrams
      @Travelwiththebrams  3 года назад

Due to our kids and the car seat combined weight being over 65 pounds most LATCH limit. We only use the seatbelts to attach the forward facing Dionos. Also we only install the forward
facing when we can use a top tether.
