    Love my 2021 signature. Feels like a top dollar high end car. Love that it drives like a car and not a SUV. Feels much smaller than it is when driving. Traded my 2019 Rav 4 for this and this car is on an entirely new level.

    I've been driving my 2011 Cx9 since it was new and I'm closing in on 100k miles. Any issues I had were all covered by the warranty and it still drives and looks like a brand new car. I've never even had a check engine light come on. I absolutely love this car and, if it ever starts to wear out, I will definitely get another Cx9. "Luxury without the douchebaggery" is a real thing and I'm glad you mentioned it. If I buy another black one, my neighbors won't even know it's new ... gotta love that. However, it still pisses me off if that they took out the CD player. Loved your review.

      Very nice sir, and yea I liked that body style for the CX9 as well. Love how you get so much luxury for these cars, lack of a CD player is sad, fortunately the new Boss systems does sound good even with Bluetooth connection. Thanks again for the kind words!

      I had a 2010 CX-9 for over 6 years and loved it so much! It was a step up from my Acura MDX, and it still looked and felt brand new when we got rid of it. My husband surprised me with a fully loaded Toyota 4Runner for our anniversary, and it felt like a huge step down to me. So, now we’re getting back into another Mazda CX-9! Such a fun car to drive, great sound, and much more cargo space that the 4Runner. It’s also just a lot more comfortable to be in.

    • @johnrichards3666
      @johnrichards3666 3 года назад

      I'm glad it's not just me. That's exactly the way I still feel about my CX 9. The only thing I don't like about the new CX 9 Is that they ride lower.

      @ladyevelynjasperofoakfores2966 3 года назад

      @@johnrichards3666 they do seem a bit lower. And I do wish they’d put in a panoramic sunroof instead of the tiny moonroof. Other than that, it’s quite a comfortable and luxurious ride for a non-luxury vehicle.

    Thanks, Kevin, for another great review. I appreciate that you don’t spend the time that other reviewers spend on 0-60 mph tests and other stats. Those guys act like people live on a racetrack. Good review. First time I’ve seen you. Impressive 1:1 ratio between subscribers and views on this video. Just bought a ‘21 CX-9 carbon edition. Not sure if you’ve been in it, but those seats in combination with the chrome or aluminum interior bits and the rest of the interior...deadly gorgeous. We love the exterior color, too. I find tons of value in that model with so many features from the Signature trim and the one just below it while paying a chunk less. We don’t have AWD, the second row storage bin and exterior shiny bits, but I honestly don’t miss that and prefer the dark grill. We also love the high belt line and the feeling of being surrounded and comforted within the cabin and it’s large comfortable seats. I’ve heard some critique the large amount of space taken up by the transmission tunnel, I presume , but I honestly don’t mind as it just adds to that feeling of driving something substantial. Keep up the good work!

    Great review. I like that these CX-9s are advanced enough to have the latest powertrain and safety design but simple enough that service and upkeep costs are lower than the German offerings. Nice job on your video. I test drove a bunch of '21, 3-row SUVs and that convinced us to buy a CX9 GT. From what I understand, most of the grips from the earlier CX9s model years have been addressed, like camera resolution, slow nav or infotainment functions. Mine work as expected, so no grips from me. I like the fact that the CX9 drives more like a car then the minivan-like SUVs, which to me handled like big boxes on wheels without the benefit of sliding doors. However, I would like to have had a 110 volt outlet like some of the competition.

  • @user-vs1bh7dd8h

    Great video! You made a really good point on choosing between RX350 and CX9. I think some people might argue this is not a good comparison but I think just on the dollar value, you are definitely getting more on CX9, plus and I think this is a big plus - this car was manufactured in Japan Hiroshima (someone can correct this if I am wrong). So basically you are getting a Japanese import vechicle with a bargaining price tag but the quality of the inteior is on par with other premium brands in the same class. I have to admit Mazda was never on my shopping list in the past because but I feel it starts growing on me. 🙂

      Can you speak to the drive comparison between the CX-9 and the Palisade. Especially on the highway? I am intimately familiar with the CX-9 since I had a 2020 loaner for a month but my wife and I are in the market for an SUV and it really just comes down to either Palisade Limited or CX-9 Signature. I have yet to drive the Palisade. I know in terms of value proposition the Palisade has the CX-9 beat, but what about local/highway driving, noise and comfort.

    • @wbwayne8887

      I have never driven the Mazda CX9, but our Palisade is very smooth, quiet, and solid on the highway. However, some 2020 Palisades have suffered with excessive wind noise, so make sure you test drive before you purchase if you decide on the Palisade. I have also seen at times above 30mpg on the highway and we are currently averaging 23.9 in mixed driving. Our Palisade I should mention is a fwd SEL model with the convenience pkg. The semi-autonomous driving aids are also flawless on the Palisade. I have been very impressed with it's lane centering capability. Still not quite a Tesla in it's capability, but very good, none the less.

    To me,Mazda cars has a special place in my heart but lets unwrapp the "underrated" thing a bit.ofc the majority of Mazda cars were and still are in the higher places as a car but we have to consider other sectors too.F.E.fuel consumption,co2 emissions (which levels the taxes skyhigh) ,aslo aftermarket was not in the greatest place and so on.To sum up,at the end,the scale may not go where you want ,even if it 's the perfect car.You have to consider lot of things,unless u change it in a year or two:D
    Unless ,its Lexus (^_^).
    P.S. I owened an RX-7 MY1985,Wankel 1300 cc ,200HP ,RWD for 4 years.classic,red/black.More knecks turn to mine than in Mercs,i "smoked" a lot in highway but the consumption finally brought me to my knees.otherwise ,the best car i ve ever driven

      @@MeynMotorGroup One day I hope to see it from ya my dude. Side note though. 93 octane for that? C'mon... That's rough. I feel like Mazda does so many things right, their sedans especially. I don't really care for many crossovers at all so I'm not just bashing on them. Their styling is decent. Their interiors are above average, their reliability seems to be decent as well. But they slack on a lot of things that you CANT slack on in MY opinion. Their technology is trash. I think that's self-evident. I don't really need to get into that. They're nowhere near the top 5 in the non-luxury category. Their sound system is also trash in my opinion. I've only driven 3 new Mazda's so I feel like I have SOME credibility in saying that their Bose setup is not worth paying the amount you pay to get it. I've tried it in the new Mazda 3, the CX-5, and the 6 Signature. All 3 left a lot to be desired. 🤷🏽‍♂️ Could just be me. Idk. But I've heard better quality even from other BOSE systems... In Nissans, and in the new K5. Last for me is the ergonomics and this is the most subjective, but I think everything being controlled by a twisty knob is bad for my senses. I'm sure most owners figure it out after a while, but for me whenever I'm in a new Mazda, I'm always twisting shit that I don't mean to be twisting. The volume twister is also not in my peripheral vision. That's dumb. I think there was something else I wanted to talk about but I forgot... But yeah, sorry if I'm always "that guy" when it comes to the Mazda reviews. I just think they're hyped up a lot... But I am always willing to say that they ARE better than most of the competition for quality on the cabin. Just the stuff that you USE is kind of meh. OH yeah, the 93 octane just to get 250 HP. They're not good at selling you value either. The car's aren't cheaper than the competition due to being this nice... And with 93 recommended, and most people likely following that order, they're not cheap to own either.
      But anyway how you doin bro- how's corona

    Why noone is talking that the suspension is horrible. It's very noisy and feels like there is something loose especially in the front

    So...the first 50secs sewm to praise the CX9 HOWEVER! the title states."Don't buy " the cx9" before watching....kinda deceiving dude! 🤔
    Need better titles

    • @MeynMotorGroup
      @MeynMotorGroup  3 года назад

      How about you read the rest of the title instead of just reading the first 3 words

  • @slinky7355
    @slinky7355 4 года назад

    Why would you title this video "do not watch until..." when you absolutely nothing negative to say about it? You gushed so hard that I 100% believe you're getting kick backs somehow.

    • @MeynMotorGroup
      @MeynMotorGroup  4 года назад +2

      So I can't do much if you didn't go to school to read the rest of the title which said Dont buy without watching this review.
      There's nothing negative about the title its all in that little tiny head of yours

  • @TonmoyKabiraj
    @TonmoyKabiraj 2 года назад

    Very misleading title. The video had no head or tail... It was all over the place. Why the hell were you comparing it to Audi??? Those two appeal to two completely different types of people.

      No it’s written pretty clear you just need to read it

      That is all in the eye of the beholder. Earlier this week was at a stoplight a CX9 and Telluride were side by side. To my subjective eye the Mazda simply looked more elegant in a sheet metal gray.
