@tt67791 that why we getting one from benfica one of there staff
I did a dedicated video on what Amorim's Liverpool would look like and why he is a better fit for Liverpool than Xabi Alonso long term on the Liverpool fan in Japan channel! I love how the momentum is building for Ruben Amorim and how it really seems to be between him and De Zerbi, to usher in the new era of Liverpool and it will be exciting to see! Hopefully Klopp ends this season in the most glorious way with a golden final chapter! Domo Arigatou!
Am I the only LFC supporter who would be perfectly content with Pep Lijnders for a season?
Yes , a number 2 never works
I’m genuinely unsure between Amorim and De Zerbi, now, after the Brighton match. At least I know the work of the latter. Amorim sounds better, but I haven’t seen any of his work, in action.
Alonso will be Liverpool manager, at some point, of that I’m sure. I’m shocked at myself that my respect as grown for him, after he decided to stay at Leverkusen, and ending the Neverkusen brand, therefore ‘snubbing us🙄’. For an EPL perspective, that would be like ending the Spursy brand.
@craigcassidy6078 FYI, Fun Fact: Liverpool FC's most successful manager, Bob Paisley, was a no two. With an impressive haul including 6 league titles, 3 UCL trophies, 3 League Cups, 1 FA Cup, 1 UEFA Cup, and 1 European Super Cup, all in just 9 years! And let's not forget Joe Fagan (Paisley's no 2), who added another league title, UCL trophy, and League Cup in just 2 seasons as manager. Zidane, another no two. Won two league titles and 3 UCL in a row for Real. Tito Vilanova Pep's no 2 at Barca, won a league title in his only one year as manager. Vicente del Bosque, not even the no 2 but backroom youth coach win league titles and 2 UCL in three years. So to say no 2 never works isn't factually correct.
@@craigcassidy6078 Arteta😮?
We need this type of manager to sure that back line because we are to open this season ever since Fabinho has gone seems like there is no more protect we need Amorim because his defensive record at sporting is really good

He's gonna have to compromise on letting the recruitment staff give him a selection of players in the transfer market rather than himself if that's true. Edwards is arguably the best sporting director in the world and even if that's not his title anymore, he has final say on what LFC will do.
Hughes is our sporting director. Edwards has replaced Mike Gordon
But Trust me when I say, Edwards will have the last say on transfers even if it's not in his job description @@kyledunn1303
@@kyledunn1303 Yep. That's basically what Gordon's job was, hence why they're saying that he has more power now.
I actually wanted Amorim more so than Alonso and believe it or not Amorim has more experience managerial wise and also both have the same setup which is 3,4,3 a very attacking and based on position football and like I said Amorim has three and half year managerial experience than Alonso, so one thing for sure we won't be seeing 4,3,3, anymore
This is more BS SKY NEWS, ALONSO didn't turn down Liverpool because he wasn't even being considered... additionally the RUBEN AMORIM news is also Nonsense... Liverpool will sort it out when they do...
you angry kids should stop vaping...seriously...
He's in talks to take over from Jurgen in the summer.
this aged well...
i see an issue there with liverpools sporting director and amorim, when he said amorim will not want to hear what players are offered to him from liverpools scouting/sporting director he will only want the player that he picks. i think thats how edwards and klopp differed and ended the way it did with just klopp running the show in that department too and hiring that german guy to do the deals he wanted last summer.
He would be told how it's going to be long before anything is signed. He isnt going to come in and start dictating beyond his role at the club. He'll have to fall in line or go to Barca.
Exactly, if he doesn't bend on that approach, he doesn't get the job

If he meets FSG and tells them he makes all the transfer decisions then they will probably move on to another target quick.
Why would he do that? Look at the Liverpool squad, it's class, they know how to buy players.
Why would FSG allow him to make all the transfer decision? I will not be happy as a fan
Then he is not the right manager for Liverpool
@@payneemelda3131 Isn't it ridiculous that they'd bring Michael Edwards back to the football club & then not use his expertise in signing top player's. If Amorin gets the job he'll have to work with the people who are already at the and & it's just that simple.
@@johnmichaelson9173 Michael Edward will be used.
Never call it Sporting Lisbon, he’s right. It’s no where in our club name. Sporting Club of Portugal. Sporting Portugal or Sporting CP or just Sporting. It’s not that hard folks lol
Correction: the first leg has already been played and Sporting won at their stadium 2x1. Today its the second leg at Benfica's stadium.
I need a drink after that
Honestly with Alonso out the question, I can't see Liverpool picking up where they leave off this season. As a fan, I'm used to the dark times so it would be familiar territory. I hope I'm wrong and whoever comes in picks up momentum. However if it's currently between De Zerbi and a nobody.. We're screwed.

LFC need price harry as manager
We need some one setting the bar high as klopp has done over the years I believe it's between Amirom and pep
As a utd fan i was very happy when the news broke that klopp was leaving, but then became worried again when it looked like Alonso was certain. I think Alonso is the real deal and would have the charisma and fan backing to help him through any early turbulence at LFC.
Now im back to feeling happy again now it looks like Amirom or De Zerbi coming in.
Not saying they are bad managers or that they will definitely fail. I'm just saying my gut feeling is a good one when i see this news as a rival fan.
@@samwize28 I think you'll find Amirom and Alonso are the best crop of managers currently atm de zebri needs to join United because that's the level United and de zebri are at and don't worry about Liverpool pal klopp ous leaving not the players worry about the state of United 😂
@@garethmackinnon6782
I think its a valid claim to make Amirom is as good as Alonso, and that its valid for a LFC fan to be optimistic about him joining. im not arguing otherwise. Im only telling you what my gut feeling is as a rival. I could be proven wrong, no problem with that. Im just saying what my feeling is reacting to the news. Take it or leave it.
For utd yes i agree with all your points made. I do worry about utd in the immediate future, but less so long term. I dont think the manager matters for the next 3 years. We could get Klopp and we would still finish 6th-5th for the next 2 years - such is the very low level of the squad we have. No manager will win the league anytime soon.
its going to take 6 transfer windows to turn over the squad, and its going to take top level directors to do it effectively. That is the priority for Utd right now, not who the manager is. Thankfully INEOS appear to recognise this and are making moves for many recruitment specialists (Berrada/Ashworth/Wilcox).
Also the stadium build news is very exciting. Hopefully the stadium and squad will both be in great shape in 3 years time. Personally i will think about the manager role at that time.
@@samwize28 That's ok because Utd are not a Liverpool rival anymore. You needn't burden yourself with what happens there since you are not direct rivals.
@@jeanjacqueslundi3502 I agree that as of today, LFC and Utd are not competitive rivals.
However, I feel that the trajectory of both clubs sees them lining up within 3-4 years time. Utd are no doubt going to improve with the introduction of specialist recruitment staff (for the first time since 2013...), medical departments (Brailsford dodgy injections, wink wink) and improved stadium facilities.
While LFC are going to enter the unknown after Klopp. Its more likely that they go down in level than they go up in level. The appointment of Amorim adds weight to this IMO as my gut feeling is that (as talented as he is) the media and fans wont have the patience for him (happy to be proven wrong though).
I don't understand why you put a release clause in place and then back off of it in a negotiation...
Because a release clause is to protect a club's worst-case scenario.
For example, Benfica bought Enzo Fernandez at the beggining of last season and he signed a 5 year contract with Benfica. For the first few years, if he performed brilliantly, that's how much Benfica would charge to sell him, otherwise he would stay. That's what happened. He was sold for a mammoth 120M€ release clause to Chelsea. If his performances were not as good and he only had a couple of years left in his contract, Benfica would have to be open to sell him for a lower fee.
Now, regarding Amorim, I think what happens is if he wins the domestic double (including a second league title in the space of 3 years), I don't think there is much more for Ruben Amorim to aim for in terms of his professional progression. This is because UCL, no chance. Europa League he has already tried it several years (including managing to beat a EPL leader in Arsenal at the time). So, the lowering of the release clause comes also with the understanding that Amorim will eventually want to take up a bigger project. Given what he has done for Sporting, the club is willing to take his interests into account. Of course, if there is a club willing to pay those 30M€ Sporting would prefer that club, but if Amorim has another interested club whose project he prefers, Sporting will not unnecessarily go against it.
I think that is what we are seeing here. Liverpool is not willing to pay those 30M€. So, Sporting, in normal circumstances, would wait now and think about it in the summer, gather all interested clubs' offers and would take the highest bid for him (it would not block it). But because it is Amorim and it seems Liverpool is the club Amorim prefers as his next sporting project, Sporting is bending its rulebook.
Liverpool have the best scouts.
To not use them us very stupid
Also, to pay high prices to get your players is NOT A GOOD MANAGER.
You need to be able to get bargains and make them amazing.
Like Wenger, Fergie, Klopp etc did.
Just paying millions for players is not good business.
He does not seem to be a good fit as it goes
I’m not sure why he said that, Ruben has made amazing deals at sporting, we certainly don’t have the budget to pay top bill for anyone at our club.
Could be something lost in translation. Relax.
Is it a crazy thought trying to convince Pep Linjders? I know he said leaving with Klopp is his natural choice but pep would be a good transition
Not sure. He left before to go solo but came back after he failed!
Has an awesome sports science team who worked at LFC already
I no longer care about names. Whoever can take us to the next level is highly welcome 🙏
Some corrections, I am a Sporting fan and I don't have any problem with the 'Sporting Lisbon' name. Second, we will play the second league against Benfica (the first we won 2-1 at Alvalade). Last but not least, Amorim stays 💚🦁🙏
Every one is so gullible. Alonso is coming to Liverpool. They needed to get the press off his back as he needs to concentrate on Bayers challenge this sesason and not be harrassed at every press conferance. He told everyone at the beginning that he would only decide once the season is over and that he would not say anything out of respect for his current job and will see at the end of the season, but NOBODY listens. They keep harrassing him. So he made a statement that does not disrespect his current job. Thats called integrity and respect. Something the press don't have.
Is he coming or not?
Dont take what this guy is saying by heart, hes a bit clueless, Amorim does NOT ignore what scouting and the structure around him identify as targets. Hes a brilliant manager, Liverpool would make a very good decision in going with Amorim
Liverpool isn’t going to pay a release clause 😅
Has to challenge for league with our squad or not good have to be top 2 all season or leave

I'm not sure about Pep as manager, but what I will say is, he is the link between our kids and the seniors. Without him, I don't think we would have seen so many academy players progress to the first team squad. For me, he is a world class assistant coach/manager and just as big a loss as Klopp.
