We were the better team in every european game. But statistics mean nothing when you have a team of perfect misfits. He'll make liverpool achieve most goals for and least against in his first season. He gets the result, he brings entertainment to the fans and he will make the players remember why they love playing football.
We will have to wait and see. The question is about getting the right players clicking better in front against the low block and making better tactical adjustments to start games. Top level coaches do that in tough and high pressure games. The good news is that we will no longer gamble as much on defense. It works when the forwards play great but since we no longer have a good false 9, we lost our balance.
The real challenge for him will be….the same challenge we’re struggling with at the moment. Teams have worked us out. They allow us to retain possession at the back, cut off supply lines to more creative players hit us in wide positions as we’re vulnerable cause we’re so open. Couple that with a front line so poor compared to the heyday of salah/mane/Bobby and we’re so far off our height under klopp. I feel Slot will need a couple more additions to freshen up the team. I wouldn’t be upset to see any combination of 2 forwards leave and be replaced with more exciting, clinical alternatives

@@nonnayoubuzinnes1669 not really. It has been a slog this season. Going behind too much and needing to over come. The reason we’ve been as close as we have is City’s treble hangover. The manager has worked wonders given the amount of injuries but the injuries are ridiculous at this point. Klopp has to bare some responsibility there too. Training is too intense. Anyway big challenges for any new manager. Midfield refresh was overdue last season. Front line needs an overhaul this summer. Mo a shadow of himself, jota always injured, nunez nowhere near the level, Diaz 9% chance conversion is woeful. Gakpo is a squad player at best.
Salah can't press 90 minutes. He's 32 and that's one big dilemma Slot has to solve at Liverpool. Another problem is the casual defending of some stars, Arnold for instance. I'm really excited to see how he'd deal with it
The BIG difference between te two leagues is that in the Eredivisie the trainers just train and make tactics. While in the premier League the trainer also hires players and staff. Eric ten Hags weak point is obviously the players he gets and how much he pays for them. In Eredivisie the scouts and technical manager select players and the trainer only might have some say in it. As an Feyenoord fan i know Slot is a tactical mastermind and makes every player better in training. But im afraid is like ten Hag in that he likes players hes already worked with. In Feyenoord theres only one player that could reach liverpools level.
Arne Slot will be like a breath of fresh air but a leap to unknown at the same time...He needs to plug in the gaps in defence as the first priority ,we have been giving away too many easy goals...i hope he finds a way to make our strikers score at will....Once he fixes these issues we will be invincible
Good presentation. Watching the clips is indeed in parts at least, like watching Liverpool. The defensive differences highlighted are perhaps a good thing because Liverpool are too often wide open when they lose the ball in transition. I liked the idea of De Zerbi because his style of play is similar to Klopp’s although Brighton are too rigid with playing out from the back and get punished by high pressing teams. We have a good squad and the last thing we need is a manager with completely different ideas that don’t fit in with the existing players. We need to build not destroy! Any new manager is a risk but Slot will be the 15th I’ve seen as a supporter and from this video I’m more hopeful of a good outcome than I have been with some of the others. Additionally we’ve got Edward’s back which based on the past could be a bonus.
It's interesting to see how negative Dutch football are considered by many fans. In the last 2 seasons Dutch clubs have scored more points in European competitions than clubs from Portugal and France which is very impressive knowing the budget gaps. Hence, Dutch football is not a joke. The preferences for a big name as coach is understable and the differences between Eredivisie and the PL are extreme, but the same can be said about the success of Brazilian and German footballers in the PL. Even the best coach in the world Mr. Ancelotti had a tough time in the PL. Arne Slot is a very good coach and part of the new generation of young coaches like Nagelsmann, Alonso, Amorim, Inzaghi replacing Klopp, Ancelotti, Mourinho, Guardiola one day. I honestly believe that LFC is not biased and have completed a careful analysis before approaching Feyenoord. As a Dutchman I can only hope that Arne will have good luck on his side and not face so many injuries like mr. Klopp is having now. Time will tell.
@@nonnayoubuzinnes1669 i will be enjoying you in 9 months, because i will send you a text when he is doing good with Liverpool, and be a big men and admit it aswell. I Will do the same, But i know for sure you will have a big smile 😀😇
Im not going to get rude back because i can see in your name, that you're unwell..Defence is a tactics thing. Us not scoring when it matters is a quality thing. The quality of player needs to be improved immediately. If we took the chances we create, we would have outscored 95% of the league, which means we would have won many more games. I.e win the title.
Slot is walking into a Liverpool club with a proper footballing structure. Ten Hag in the ither hand walked into a club which has lacked any semblance of a well run organization in 10 years. I expect Slot to do well, but I also expect Ten Hag to lose his job.
This pressing style is exactly how Klopp had Hendo and Co. Pressing in the first & second season. I miss when we was this hungry to win matches and impress the manager.
Well I’m not a journalist, I’m a fan that makes videos on what is expected to happen. For 2 months it was going to be Alonso, for 1 month it was Amorim…. All channels were discussing those candidates. I don’t pretend I’m in the know, I’m just breaking it down.
@@panenkalfc Exactly, I got so attached to the idea of having Alonso. Then I loved the idea of us under Amorim. And now I’m learning about Slot! Love your content everytime! Watched your videos on Alonso, Amorim and now Slot and I gotta say your analysis are by far the best and most accurate of all fan accounts! But I am a bit disappointed that we’re not getting a young, exciting Alonso/Amorim type coach that implements the 343. I feel like it’s the best system in todays football. Just look at the leading clubs like Sporting, City, Inter, Leverkusen. Football has changed and I feel like a system change was needed. Slot system is also a change but it’s still very similar to Klopp’s 433
Not really. Ask yourself if this team would have won the league and done better in the cups if they had a proven goalscorer this year, one who could stay fit. The answer is yes. Also shows that Slot will be inheriting one of the strongest squads in Europe and in the CL too. makes us an attractive place to play for recruiting players.
He's a yes man and will manage teams on a budget as well as bringing youngsters through, so the owners will be happy, he'll be the boss on the pitch, but Michael Edwards will be in charge on football matters of the pitch, transfers ect.
As A Feyenoord fan i am going to miss Slot, he not only helped us through a tough time, but made us big again. Liverpool is going to be very lucky with him. Thanks for the good video!
Unlike Ten Hag, he has better players suited for his style. So the step up from the Eredevisie isn't that much of a worry. I'm wondering if he can command the dressing room.
Liverpool has a lot of character in the dressing room, unlike Man Utd, PSG (Mostly just Mbappé now) or Real Madrid. Slot will be able to deal with that, easy. He definitely knows his tactucs and most players will respect that.
LFC are just far better run behind the scenes than United. TH was always gonna have an impossible task, irrespective of budget. Big budgets can cripple a club financially and with expectation if the buying clubs negotiating is terrible 😂 LFC as a club is run as a family. Character is important. He seems a softer more chilled guy than TH. He also bumps hip hop 😂 His problem will be making sure he is ruthless when players do cross the line, like Klopp did with Sakho. Best managers and clubs have dressing rooms with vets that make sure people are kept in line so the coach can coach.
Ziyech, Tadic, Frenkie de Jong, De Ligt, Blind, Van de Beek, Tagliafico, Mazraoui. Quite possibly one of the best Eredivisie teams in decades. Don’t act like his team was bad.
@LeroyDun idiot that's what I'm saying it wasn't bad but wasn't even good enough it was ten hag who made them look good not even one of them is playing at highest level today except de jong
I absolutely love your videos mate but if I have one piece of constructive criticism to give is that I'd recommend getting into some animations for covering tactics and plays. Something simple like OG FM with moving dots or the like, doesn't need to be flashy. I know you can't really use match footage or you'd risk getting videos taken down but screenshots don't really work and can make your explanation tougher to understand
I'm a Liverpool fan and I think the reason he has been chosen is because he will be a "yes man." He will know he will be working under a strict budget including sell to buy and won't be allowed to criticise our greedy american owners. It's new owners we need in my opinion. They don't invest anywhere near as much (net spend) as our worldwide appeal/income suggests.
@@LfC_Muffin_Man I think in England, that's exactly what a 'yes man' is and we're perhaps back to the early Brendan Rodgers days. No matter how good the management team is, the coach must at least have some say as they're the ones who can make judgments about the human side of things, especially when players know that they were signed without any input from the coach.
If you see what he achieved with the budget of Feyenoord, you know he will do very good with Liverpool. He is not a 'yes' man. He if football mad and the future of what coaches/managers will be.
not interested unless they are top class defenders because after last nights show god knows we need them ..... konate isint going to cut it at anfield and virgil legs are gone so two defenders badly needed
Feyenoord fan here, they are not ready for that. Only player that I would recommend is David Hancko, a Slovakian Centre Back (left footed) that can also play Left Back. Incredible defender, and also much better in playmaking and attacking than 90% of defenders. And also a great mindset and loved personality. I would not advise anyone else. Also because it is very risky for a coach without a top class reputation to buy a lot players out of his own stock, like Ten Hag has done. When things go bad, you have made yourself responsible for the transfers that are failling.
im still not convinced. The club are only considering him because hes able to work with what he's given, meaning he will be puppeteered by our recruitment team and have no say in the players he gets. His formation is too similar in the attack to push teams that figured out Klopp ball however, a 6 back in defence does sound interesting. I wouldn't be surprised if we see an early exit after a year either after a total collapse between manager and recruitment or a poor position in the league table. Amorim and Alonso had the presence to push back against Edwards and Hughes whereas Slot seems he will be a submissive punching bag
Xabi and Amorin don't want to come. I think Slot could do a good job. If you can do it with less talented squad and less money you can do it with a super talented squad + money to invest.
Show us the proof that's what liverpool wants or you just making it up just like how the media is portraying ....and what's wrong if they hire him because he can work within the budget ......Liverpool aren't city, Madrid, arsenal and united that can spend big bucks....I would rather be interested in football philosophy he is bringing to the club post Klopp .........
Just with the young talent and youth players Klopps blooded this season and last, that’s enough to build the spine of a very strong team alone. I’ve never seen LFC have so many youngsters where their ceiling is so high. It’s the ones that haven’t quite got minutes yet that have me most excited for the future. A guy that can get 2-5 players out this freak group, that could be hundreds of millions saved in the next ten years.
In Slot we trust was our motto at Feyenoord and he really really really dit not let us down! Keep this motto alive and believe me he won’t let you down either! (Make a banner with these words next season and he will feel home immediately!)
It stinks of desperation to be honest. First Xabi then Amorim and now Arne . It's a huge task for him as he knows we expect to at the least challenge for everything ( which imo has been our downfall yet again) and he has to replace what is for the majority a fan favourite in Klopp.
We was NEVER in for Alonso or Amoron....where did we show ANY interest? You must be one of those g#mps that believe what people say on social media, LISTEN TO WHAT THE CLUB SAYS AND GROW THE FCK UP!!!
If slot do not win primier league or champion league for 9 years as liverpool. You still consider slot as unknown gem.We need winner that know how to win titles or champion league .If slot comes some of important players will liverpool to win trophies else where. We already have good squad that can win titles. We need 5 players to win titles. If slot becomes liverpool there is less chances of him succesful
@@liversalah5560our squad is not good enough to win multiple titles. Klopp has not been given the needed signings, which left him behing Pep and Arteta.
@liversalah5560 how about give a man a chance, he has won a league title in his own country, and got his team to a European conference cup final, giving that the players, he will work with at liverpool, will be higher level, im confident, spurs wanted him and levy is not a dope, surrounded by bad advice, im willing to let him have a go and feel he deserves to step up,why can you not see that yourself, cant be going getting someone with no playing style that would resemble what we play, slot, should just slot in he is not, like ten hag no idea what he is doing.
Who knows if he’ll be a good manager for us, only time will tell. One thing that reassures me is that Edwards will be playing a big role in this decision. He rarely gets things wrong so let’s hope he’s right on this one.
whoever it is we need to give him proper chance. Slot wants the job, Xabi didnt that matters. Ive barely seen his teams play but the bits i have i was impressed. Anyone is a gamble, no one really stands out as being a much better choice, so if it is Arne then i trust the club that he was the best option we have and pray it works out well.
People who defend only what they know, and shy away from new experiences, should not be surprised to find that they lack mobility. Shouldn't the discussion be about the potential new coach's technical and tactical capabilities, how he gets this across to the players and inspires them to perform their tasks to the best and how this fits the club? The insane amount of money to be spend in some of the top competitions is not a guarantee for success, how to forge a team and get the team to (out)perform the other teams is. And yes, the Dutch league is not a the level of the greater four, which to my opinion is independent of the capabilities of the coaches/managers. Sure, there is a huge difference between the leagues that cannot be overcome by the coach's capabilities, but given the right tools, the coach can make the difference. I have read remarks about preferring Mourinho over Slot because winning the league with boring football is preferred over not winning it with good offensive football. Well, that's just a wish for a season of looking at painful football and having one moment of joy lifting the cup. I would prefer winning the cup with good offensive AND defensive football when needed, which requires a coach who is able to implement this. For that, this video gives great insight into the coach Arne Slot
I knew sod all about Slot, feel a little more assured he can do a job after watching! Certainly looks like those wide defensive holes of the last 3 seasons might get plugged and less of those moments which leave Alison one-on-one having to try and bail the team out.
@@panenkalfc i think now as a Liverpool fan honestly speaking let's just focus who's going to replace klopp and if we can write a more different story... or even start a new chapter in Liverpool
We chose him because he was identified as the one we wanted. Surely you're not one of those g#mps that believes what you read on social media? Show me any proof Liverpool actually approached Alonso or Amoron? You won't be able too because we didn't!!!!!!
I hope his defensive style not high line and depend on offside trap, also hopefully his attacking style not depend on crossing from full back.....Klopp's style is suicidal : high line with offside trap - predictable, while attacking build up is too slow, backward & sideway passing until find the right time to pass forward is too predictable, that's why Liverpool always difficult to break low block defence, about counter pressing, Klopp's style is counter pressing but when his team got pressed by opponents, his players are helpless & hopeless, cannot get out of opponent's pressing
They didn't choose Slot over the others, Alonso said no, Amorim's agent thought that we were desperate and tried to get a large signing on fee, a good chunk of which would have been his. I'll bet Amorim is pig sick over this. I'm not disparaging Slot but let's not kid people that he was first choice.
We didn't choose Arne over Alonso. Alonso choose to stay in his club to build upon what he already build. He haven't been there long. I respect him for that.
He sees the Madrid job opening in 26 as a better prospective. This waiting at Leverkusen is just a humbug. But can't blame him for having his choice. Who wouldn't want to manage the team that Madrid are assembling and dominate Europe enhancing his own CV rather than slogging it out against Sheikh money&machinery in EPL
I hate the disrespect Ten Hag gets while he's performing better than Klopp's first 2 seasons, while also having a historical injury record. He has the highest win ratio and is performing better than his predecessors after Sir Ferguson. Disrespecting Ten Hag is also disrespecting Mourinho and Louis van Gaal who combined won 3 champions league titles but couldn't deal with that same United. Arne Slot is a different Coach who is legit in his own way and I believe he will be succesful at Liverpool but don't expect him to be better than Ten Hag they are of the same caliber. Ten Hag joined a sinking ship while Arne Slot gets it on a silver platter.

I think Edwards and Hughes will have the biggest say about who we sign and Slot will be more of a coach than a manager.
In Jamaica 🇯🇲 just waiting to support the new manager Liverpool fc for life.
Excellent analysis, great contender, will be subscribing!
Are they successful in UCL ?
We don't want him here. Nobody in Liverpool is happy about him coming that I've spoken to.

Will his style of football work in the premier league only time will tell. It's going to be an interesting journey that's for sure
He's excellent choice can't wait
I never really heard about this guy till 2 days ago
I was unsure at first but the more I learned about him the more I think he could do a great job
I swear I’ve watched about 10+ videos on Alonso being perfect for Liverpool, same for Amorim and now Slot!
@@panenkalfcOkay, but how could they all be '' perfect '' for Liverpool ? Does the term perfect have no meaning anymore ?
Every new coach that comes will need new players and are owners will give nothing. Though days are about to start for fans
Im gonna miss him😢
He's a yes man and will manage teams on a budget as well as bringing youngsters through, so the owners will be happy, he'll be the boss on the pitch, but Michael Edwards will be in charge on football matters of the pitch, transfers ect.

Big budgets can cripple a club financially and with expectation if the buying clubs negotiating is terrible 😂
LFC as a club is run as a family. Character is important. He seems a softer more chilled guy than TH. He also bumps hip hop 😂
His problem will be making sure he is ruthless when players do cross the line, like Klopp did with Sakho.
Best managers and clubs have dressing rooms with vets that make sure people are kept in line so the coach can coach.
If this is true. Brendan Rodgers 2.0 era is back for sure

With Edwards back I highly doubt that's the case. Have a little faith

Similarity to Klopps tactics is not necessarily a good thing. Most of the time we can’t use counter pressing as teams just sit in a low block.
They refused to sign for Liverpool that's why he Arne signed. Is there any reason again?

Well, ETH did have a young Frenkie, Deligt and Onana.
@chicks-on-the-loose they were half good knowing all 3 were beaten comfortably by mourinho's manchester united a year before in UEL finals
Ziyech, Tadic, Frenkie de Jong, De Ligt, Blind, Van de Beek, Tagliafico, Mazraoui. Quite possibly one of the best Eredivisie teams in decades. Don’t act like his team was bad.

he will be the modern era Bob Paisley. the foundation that klopp built will blossom in the hand of slot.
Can see Macca as the more advanced double pivot, the rest of the midfield however.. were a bit over stocked and underwhelmed
Bajcetic when fit is the only one I see playing low cdm
He looks too friendly
cant see he was good enough into the top 8 in the league next season
What? Have you tried writing in English?
I absolutely love your videos mate but if I have one piece of constructive criticism to give is that I'd recommend getting into some animations for covering tactics and plays. Something simple like OG FM with moving dots or the like, doesn't need to be flashy. I know you can't really use match footage or you'd risk getting videos taken down but screenshots don't really work and can make your explanation tougher to understand
Never mind, thought you were referring to a tactical analysis program. Turned out you were talking about FM 😂
I'm a Liverpool fan and I think the reason he has been chosen is because he will be a "yes man."
He will know he will be working under a strict budget including sell to buy and won't be allowed to criticise our greedy american owners.
It's new owners we need in my opinion.
They don't invest anywhere near as much (net spend) as our worldwide appeal/income suggests.
No, it's cause they want a coach, not a manger. They don't want him to have input on transfers and only focus coaching the team.
You're an ungrateful Liverpool fan, look how well we've done since the new owners took over.

He may bring mats wieffer and orkun kokcu from benifica to Liverpool
not interested unless they are top class defenders because after last nights show god knows we need them ..... konate isint going to cut it at anfield and virgil legs are gone so two defenders badly needed
@@ducoh2093 yeah I accept.. valid point
@@ducoh2093we got Edward’s back for a reason…
im still not convinced.
Am not convinced by Slot at all
Fly on the wall at boardroom meetings were you to sprout this insider knowledge? What a load of ****. 🤣😂😆
Just take a look what he brought in with what money.
He won our league with 'The Foreign Legion"
Stuff of legends!
In Slot we trust was our motto at Feyenoord and he really really really dit not let us down! Keep this motto alive and believe me he won’t let you down either! (Make a banner with these words next season and he will feel home immediately!)
I'm excited for every season with Liverpool and love Klopp. More excited for next season now
It stinks of desperation to be honest.

The deal is not done yet.
Edwards is a w*nker. I hope him and Slot are sent packing next season.
I can sum this up in one sentence:
LFC board: “What do we need to beat the bald guy? OUR OWN BALD GUY!!”
*everyone cheers*
Yeah, but this bald guy has got good functioning brains. Ten Hag hasn't. (Guardiola has, of course)😂🤣😎
whoever it is we need to give him proper chance. Slot wants the job, Xabi didnt that matters. Ive barely seen his teams play but the bits i have i was impressed. Anyone is a gamble, no one really stands out as being a much better choice, so if it is Arne then i trust the club that he was the best option we have and pray it works out well.
your analysis are always spot on bro. Absolutely amazing!!!!!
Thank you!
I wonder how he will Slot in?
Thank you Liverpool !!
I knew sod all about Slot, feel a little more assured he can do a job after watching! Certainly looks like those wide defensive holes of the last 3 seasons might get plugged and less of those moments which leave Alison one-on-one having to try and bail the team out.
