    Interesting start to the new year! AMD also has their RX 7600 XT 16GB which we will hopefully get our hands on too. Though going out for a used parts hunt now, perhaps we can get some SUPER deals before this launch!

      How can they sell the 4070ti super in Australia for $1500 when the 4070ti sold for $1200. I thought the MSRP were same for both , it doesn't make sense.

      @@FATBOY_. taxes and fluctuations in the usd and aud, in japan its also the same as USd to jpy fluctuates, Founders Edition Cards are MSRP at launch. Availabilty is always very much a chance at the lottery. Aib partners have to find a way to try and match the clocks of the better binned chips on the FE cards, and just makeing the cards they have more visually sexy for your enjoyment, or bragging rights. And costs go up as they can not really cut corners too much, as Nvidia does. My jaw has dropped so many times over the years at what is MSRP, and what the cards go for outside the US. Hope I was of help.

      @RAM_845 Nvidia won't give more vram for cheap , plus the 4070 ti super is made from the 4080 silicon.

    • @Willbme4EVA
      @Willbme4EVA 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@FATBOY_. and @RAM_845 !Bingo the 4070ti super is more than likely the 4080 canceled 12gb card from last October, with the vram added. Since it does have the weaker silicone from the 4080. They had allot of time to kill while trying to push the remainders of the 30 series cards. I hope they at least repasted the bad boys.

      Typically GPU performance difference within a GPU generation of a vendor has been average between flops and bandwidth. So 10% more flops and 33% more bandwidth would mean on average 26% more performance. With large GPU caches, the balance between those two is that with lower resolutions bandwidth doesn't matter as much but with higher resolutions it becomes more important.

    I think Nvidia missed the opportunity to put the 7900XTX out of business by not giving the 4080 Super 20GB of Vram, that would have been quite a killer deal for people specially focused on content creation or that make heavy use of CUDA accelerated apps.

    • @laszlozsurka8991

      Giving 20 GB to the 4080 SUPER would mean they'll have to move the 4080 SUPER to AD102 and the AD102 chip has an incredibly high demand since AI companies are buying them up like hot cakes. Why do you think the RTX 4090 prices skyrocketed up to $2,000 or higher?

      I don't understand the obsession with VRAM, even for 4k 16GB is still decent, in the future it might start to strain but for this generation its perfectly fine, most people don't even game 4k anyways so whats even the point in putting so much focus on it.

    ROFL, I expected 4080 Super to put up a fight, but it's dead on arrival in many markets, including AU where the MSRP is "Starting at AUD 1,870, Coming Jan 31" according to Nvidia's website.
    Current cheapest 4080 is about AUD 1800. I wonder where did the 200 USD (almost 300 AUD) price cut go.

Why spend $999 on a GPU that will be replaced by next generation stuff in less than a year making your "high end" GPU into a mid tier one? The price gouging madness has to stop and the only way to do that is to stop buying. They only reason Nvidia even released the Supers is because of the abysmal sales even after Nvidia attempted to throttle supply.

      Supply and demand if they weren’t selling then they would drop in price.
      Modern high end GPUs will never be cheaper and less in demand than they are at this moment. The silicon will be diverted to AI and Server products before they start releasing latest process node monolithic specialized parallel processors with the fastest memory available and software and driver set to make gaming experience the best on the market. I think it’s actually amazing you can get a 4090 for $1600.00 it’s a marvel of engineering and overall implementation. There is no other hobby I know of where you can buy the best option in the world for that hobby for under 2k… and if you don’t want the best 30 series are still great options and a 4070 is basically a more power effecient 3080 with 12gigs of vram. 12gigs is plenty for that power of card and it’s priced decent at $600 …if you want cheaper you go with a 30 series for best bang for buck but a 3080 used is still going for $450ish…

    Like with every other product in the 4000 series stack, this is at least $100 more expensive than it should be. Nvidia is just letting time make people get accustomed to their overpriced skews and acting like these are good deals. If Nvidia keeps insisting on acting and pricing this way, I won't be buying their products in the future and others are going to stop paying as well. AMD has come a long way, Intel is improving drastically, if Nvidia keeps this up, they'll price themselves out of the market.
