Discovered this video after having given up on my new attempt at a super sim challenge after Growing Together came out because milestones weren’t working even when following guides and I couldn’t also get the happy infant trait. Curious as to your input on how to do both?
Which milestones weren't working? Surely not all of them. Are you using any mods? There are bugs with some milestones, but the majority of them do work. The happy infant trait isn't the best. You want Top-Notch Infant instead. To do this, make sure your infant doesn't cry, fuss or have a red need for very long without an adult responding and fixing the issue. They don't need to be 100% happy all of the time, but getting negative moodlets about their needs not being met and allowing those moodlets to remain for a long time will prevent the trait. In addition to this, you need to interact with them using affectionate socials. Just meeting their needs won't be enough. They need to get warm-fuzzies occasionally. 😁In other words, happy moodlets.
No, I don't have a video and I'm not sure it would get the milestone. I've seen the adopt option pop up in my 100 baby chaos series because I deleted all of the relationships with the mother. I was trying to get the infants to not ask for things, but it didn't work. 🤣 They used to just ask the mother, now they ask every sim in the household. I've never actually clicked on the option.
@@rosameryrojas-delcerro1059 it does! Just tried it. I actually made an adult in CAS and an infant in CAS in the same household. I did not set anyone as the infant's parents. When I loaded in game, there was an "Adopt" option under the friendly category. I saw that before on an infant that previously had parents when both of their parents died and the ghosts were no longer on the family tree because they had been culled by the game. It's not the "Adopt as care dependent" under the infant/toddler care category, it has to be the one under friendly. I chose that and the infant got the adopted milestone. It had the same game notification that you get when you adopt a sim from the computer/phone.
@@charitycodes So if I move my Supersim (when they exist) in with another relative (like a grandparent of some degree) to raise (I already know who will raise my SuperSim, not an occult any more) and adopt them, both milestones might count??
@@rosameryrojas-delcerro1059 maybe. You will need to kill and/or delete the parents, so your super sim would no longer recognize the grandparents as grandparents. When you adopt them, they become the direct parent in the family tree. Otherwise, the Adopt option will not show up if the true parents are still alive even if they're in a different household.

Do you have a video about how you had a sim child "adopted" by getting rid of the ghosts??
